Love this video! Art seemed like a such a gentle soul and thinking about his family and how they must miss him everyday brings me to tears. There is something truly moving about watching an interview of a kind soul after they have passed on. Would love to see more of this. Thank you

RIP Art. I, too, still have every copy, alongside my copies of Sound Practices, and some Positive Feedback. Fun times, much missed. Listener was unique.

I really miss Listener magazine. My favorite audio mag for the mid-late 90s.

Hitting the like button before I but play. This new video series has really been kinda special.
I'm assuming this one won't be the one to buck the trend.

What music and recording are you both listening to at the beginning of the video?
I used to subscribe to Listener and enjoyed it.

what a success!!!! no one commented or replied my thoughts. I got another reflexion to make and how I don't know anywhere else to made it, well so here I go again. I've been thinking that maybe the hi-end industry has lost its marbles... or not, it depends what in the end are their desired customers. I'm going to explain why. Ten or twelve years earlier DENON released its top of range integrated amp, PMA-SA1, retail price 7.000 euros no pocket change, now we can see how LUXMAN and ACCUPHASE sell theirs for rougly twice that number, 15.000 euros, very cheap ha! but wait, there's more. ESOTERIC sells in Spain its grandioso integrated amp, (only an integrated,it's suppose is done to save some money compared to separateds) for... attention... 25.000 euros!!!!!!. What's going on here, and it happend the same everywhere.

oh! I'm sorry to say that but althought the intention was good, the video is a little bit boring. if you need a subgestion for your next video subject... why the 90's american audio gear was so ugly and homemade looks wise in comparition with the hi-end japanese gear of that time? You are and you were then, the first economical and technological power in the world, Can someone compare the looks, for instance, of two great class A moaural power amplifiers as Mark Levinson 30.5 Vs. Sony TA- NR1? I think, these two pieces and their striking contrast in aparience is something of a mistery to/for me. Nowdays it seems the nord americans have made great leaps forward in the aesthetic department...
