Exciting news! Generally speaking Goleta is slightly more affordable than Santa Barbara. I can get into more details and explain. Send me an email to

I once spent a few days there, back in 2015 during a conference at UCSB. The beaches were good, but I couldn't spend much time due to the oil slick. Hope to visit Goleta sometime soon in future. Its such a calm and a laidback part of SB. :-)

It really is. When you come visit you should take a walk at Elwood Beach if you like calm 😊

My favorite store at Goleta was Bevmo.

Goleta is a great place. I went to La Patera Elementary before my family moved to Idaho. My friends and I spent a lot of time playing in San Pedro Creek.

@@livinginsantabarbara You're welcome. Even though it is in Santa Barbara, my favorite mall is La Cumbre Plaza. Anyway, speaking of La Patera Elementary, Stow Grove Park is across the street. Years ago there was a replica fort built there and we liked running around playing in it. The man who was in charge came out to talk to us. He was really nice. He gave us stars and deputized us. It was great! The last time I visited I noticed that the fort had been removed. It was sad...

I hope you found a great place to move to and selling your house was a happy and positive experience. In relation to prices in Santa Barbara, Goleta is less expensive. Our area is priced higher, since the demand is there. I‘m sure you noticed it when you were selling 😊
