I also wanted to add that yes, I had the idea of making a South China tiger mod, but I want to let you know that I had some help by Gabboi and MegaGamingRex as well, so it's right that they get credited too. By the way, given that there are some extinct animal mods being showcased here (exactly dinosaurs), in this case tigers are probably the closest living animal to them, given that there are critically endangered, with only about 20 specimens, and they're almost on the brink of extinction.
Interestingly enough about the south China tiger, 20 is the maximum estimate as they haven’t been seen in the wild for certain since the 1980s. They are likely completely extinct in the wild. However, China keeps I believe around 200 in zoos and South Africa has a rewilding project for them as well
The problem is that a lot of animal species, including critically endangered ones like tigers, are hunted for body parts used for traditional medicine, but also sold on the wild animal market in some parts of China. This is what lead the South China tiger to drop in numbers so hard. Now that the wild animal markets have been banned in China because of being what originated COVID-19, this could help the population to grow in numbers, and thankfully some organizations are taking care of the tigers so we can hope they'll repopulate China like they did in the past.
Hopefully! Unfortunately South China Tigers themselves will need to be reintroduced to the wild, since they’re almost certainly extinct in the wild. Fortunately they live on in captivity and China still has tigers, as there are Siberian tigers along the northern border with Russia. Love all your mods man, they always have a place in my parks! Oh no, he's serious. With a quick Google search, I found the full name "Dracorex hogwartsia" or the Dragon King of Hogwarts. It was named in honor of Rowling...but we don't talk about her, so maybe it was named that because it looks like the Hungarian Horntail?
