Ian your young man bravado is commendable, but you should exercise some caution. You are not just calling out the Man Muddyfeet but you are calling out The Mustache......many have tried, All have failed 🤠👍
That's an airbrake valve, usually used on the front brakes, when you apply the brakes (air cuff) they seal, when you release the air pressure the seals and the air dumps quicker from the valve, instead of all the line leading up to it, it gives you a quicker release of air. (HD mechanic)
Absolutely brilliant!!!!! That’s what I had figured, but wasn’t really certain. Thank you so much for chiming in on this one. I learned something new today, which makes it a good day 😁
Lol i guess I’m going to have to start getting myself conditioned again. I like a challenge. Being from Texas I will have to add to the scenario. Stay tuned for what I have in mind. 🤣🤣🤣
I worked about 4 years for a company before I retired the best job I've had my life work with some really good and enjoy going to work each day really miss doing !✌️❤️🍺
Could you do a video or a series of videos on your entire fleet, and layout of each truck? Really curios to see pumps that maybe haven't been seen, here about the options you've had built, and your personal thoughts of what you would do different.
I miss the water lever as well. I got the 2023 ergo 3 and now the water pump switch is a button in the menu screen. It's terrible im constantly taking my washout gloves off so i don't dirty up my remote 😒 and the water switch at the back panel only works when i lock out the remote on the computer box 😵💫 im real not impressed with this digital stuff. Im constantly in the menu of my controller doing like five different sequences to start the pump😠 when the old reliable pumps were flick the on switch and hit the bump switch and everything was on and good to go😤
Whenever I take out one of our older rigs it reminds me how ridiculous/over the top things have gotten with some of the new ones. The Ergo 1.5 on this pump I do quite like (aside from the lack of rabbit/turtle boom speed toggle switch and levers for water/agitator). We have an Ergo 2.0 on our 2019 39Z and it honestly makes me hate the world. Putzmiester made good by taking operator feedback and applying it to the new and improved Ergo 3. We do not yet have any Ergo 3.0 units in our fleet, but I do look forward to someday getting my hands on one thus cleansing my soul of the Ergo 2 experience.
@@canadianconcretepumper1979 The new 36z that was given to me to operate has the old style boom from the early 2000s, the boom hoop trying to open and close the older models was bad and it's the same with this new one. The outriggers have me working more, I'm only 5'7" and the top deck is some where around 9', it's brutal trying to sling my 25' 3" hoses back on the rack. I do like that the greaser button is in the remote menus and not in the computer box menu, even then the greaser switch was on the back panel which was convenient. This new ergo 3 has the push button for rabbit and turtle yet no indicator except for in the menu. So once again i find my self scrolling through a menu instead of focusing on the job. Even one day the remote wouldn't tell me my boom speed. I had to restart the remote and then go back to the hopper to restart that back panel. This remote will start beeping at me as im doing a wash out, i looked at the back menu to see what the warning messages are and i find none. Man, if pump concrete wasn't stressful enough! I now have a computer system to stress me out even further with mostly annoying rubbish 😑
We’re blessed to have the team, equipment, and customer base which we do. Makes it possible to do our best job day in/day out. Appreciate that my man 🙏🙏🙏
Really fun video today! I enjoy watching the boompump content as my school offers about 20 weeks of work experience so in about half a year ill be riding with a M56 getting to really learn concrete pumping! Watching your videos just makes me more and more exited for whats to come! Thanks for all of your hard work!
That’s so awesome!!!! Hunter, who has been in a few of my videos, did the same. He’s now finished high school and running pump full-time. He’s already a better operator than many of the more seasoned guys here locally.
This is a rhyme Mostly about working all of the time Its easy to whine But dont forget All the dime You will get From working over time You'll afford to place a bet And even vodka with lime Day and night Bring your flashlight The pump dumps the slump Up and away over the rebar it will stay Its a mean machine That you will have to keep clean Its a dangerous job You cant be a slob When Saturday come And your wife roam at home If you want to remain alive To the garage you will arrive There you will stay Until monday says hey
can you imagine those people on the right side of the street, buying their dram home with amazing views then someone puts a another row of houses IN THE WAY!!?!?!? i would be pissed
GD Scott....stop one handing all that sh**...you're making the rest of us work harder to keep up. Is 5 boards not enough?? I swear, i can put em on 5 at a time, but if you quit one handing all that, i can tone it down and only take 2 lmfao 😅😅😅😅
Yeah. Find something to expand the weight when you setting up on a side walk or near a curbside. You put 2 by 2 it will break the ground or even worst sink that outrigger. I’ve seen it happen on a Betostar 40 meter. 😅
Yeah, city sidewalk panels can be some of the most deceiving ground conditions. Often undermined and no rebar either. Can be a bit of a booby trap (especially for the bigger pumps). At our main yard we have 240V electric pressure washer. Dollar for dollar it’s one of the best purchases we’ve ever made. As you had mentioned, it’s great for blasting the hopper clean at days end. I feel for you guys working in that kinda heat. We pretty much shutdown at anything much over 95.
Our local schwing dealer has developed there own air cuff. It’s 2 piece hinge system that allows you to remove it before putting the tip hose on the ground as to keep it less built up with concrete and mud. It also helps if you have a double ended hose sometimes it can be hard to feed the flange through.
Everything up there has a beautiful scenery 😊 Thank you for being a content creator to spread the sweet sweet career choice of being a pump operator I’m happy to see so much info in all these videos it will help generations to come more than you realize with how much people are learning from the World Wide Web just amazing
Appreciate the kind words sir. I sincerely do hope that the channel does attract some interest to the industry from some of todays youth. With most every pumping company (in our at at least) having exhausted most all options to attract young/any workers, we collectively have to figure out something.
Check into Spatter Cote 100 for spraying your hopper down. It doesn't leave a residue like form oil and will stay wet until it is sprayed off with water. I'm going to try the pixie dust very soon, really need to try it in the hopper. Beautiful view, that's what I like about the private lake area I go to every now and then, but its usually an abnormal setup that's sometimes tricky. Pump On Scott! We're trailering for the 1st time Monday, not sure I can video since it's in a factory but I'll definitely try.
good old Squamish... spent the 80's living there, and got my start there in the construction business as a teenager around 1985 when Whistler was still in it's infant stages. Squamish sure has changed. Haven't been back since 1997, I'd probably get lost now, lol :) I'm trying to tell where you were though, was that up in Garibaldi Highlands?
when u set you mind something and go threw trial and tribulations and come out even stronger and know even more, you will succeed and you will appreciate and adore stuff alot more, life is priceless so live your life to the fullest and when u get knocked down, get back up..... thank you for the great videos, love them
Wow! Imagine having your morning coffee to that view… that donut comment made me lol 😆. So did watching that guy run those hoses, not bad haha! Just want to give u a shout out, your vids are really great. I am trying to pick up as much as possible, I should b starting my pumping career in the coming weeks… just waiting for company to purchase a new truck. Any recommendations for certain videos for newbys like my self? Ps will my forearms get jacked like yours and muddy feet from running a pump??😂
That’s awesome! Exciting to hear of a new pumper entering into the industry. Some good, young blood is desperately needed to eventually take over the reigns for us older generation guys. And yes, years of wrangling hoses will 100% result in jacked forearms 👌👌👌
@@canadianconcretepumper1979 yeh man down here at the Massachusetts/new Hampshire border… go bs! 😜. Was curious how long u have been doin it and what got u into it, maybe u could even make a video about it…
Yeah and the United States and Canada by law. You can start work at 7:00 and make as much noise as you want. If people start complaining about the noise that's just too bad. Tell him to go look up the law so keep up the good work. I got your channel for muddy feet

It’s a good thing that’s a hands camera that you use to take the awesome scenic pics while driving. Wouldn’t want to attract unnecessary attention
It’s mounted to a spaced-aged robotic arm which very closely resembles a human limb…. Safety first!!!!! 😁😁😁

I’ve gone through a few of them individually. I should do a full walk around of the yard one go over each truck. This is a great suggestion 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

That would be super handy. It can be a real wrestling match trying to slide the air-cuff over a 5” flange.

I could barely keep up with him running up those stairs (he had 100 lbs of hoses, I had only a GoPro). We would lose, miserably 😂
Also, at my age such strenuous activities would quite likely result in a nasty case of hemorrhoids #oldmanproblems
