Beagle Puppy Blues - Bringing Up A Puppy Can Be Overwhelming

Even as a beagle trainer, I found puppyhood overwhelming at times.
I adopted Lois when she was 16 weeks old, which meant she already had some poor behaviour habits alongside needing training for sleep and potty routines outside.
The lack of sleep, the nipping, and her constant need for companionship were challenging. Puppy blues have been likened to postnatal depression, and anyone, regardless of gender, can experience them.
Lois also came to me with epilepsy, adding another layer of challenge. Tragically, she passed away due to her condition when she was just 20 weeks old.
The insights gained during those four weeks have been invaluable in helping other beagle parents navigate this intense period.
