      Hi there, sorry for late reply. I recommend minimum thickness of acrylic sheet 8mm for 120 litre tank with top bracing.

    Hi,
    I have multiple questions after watching your video.
    1. Just that glue is enough to tolerate the water pressure in the long run?
    2. How about the black molds built in the tank in the corners of the acrylic by the time?
    3. I believe that the light will not reflect more in the acrylic, so how better is it compared to the glass tank? Did you try and experience it?
    4. And lastly, acrylic is easier to get scratches on while cleaning the tank compared to glass.
    Thanks

      Hi. Thank you for the visit. 1. A tank of this size can tolerate the pressure. However, I had also made a 120-liter acrylic tank. That tank is also currently going well. You can see in the previous video of that. But I don't recommend making a big tank this way.
      2. I use microfiber cloth for all of my acrylic tanks. Works fine. Here is my maintaining video th-cam.com/video/nx6clRV_7MI/w-d-xo.html
      3. Never felt that.
      4. Correct. yes, they are prone to scratching. Stay tuned.

    To me, aquascapes with black backdrops and substrates look best. Only live aquatic plants will do. I look forward to seeing your work on this project.

      Dear Kartikeyan:
      I believe that it would be very difficult to work glass. I have seen videos of re-caulking glass aquaria. However, these were old tanks. I think it best to purchase a pristine tank, if you can afford it. With acrylic, one can start with spotless sheets, rather cheaply. But, the aquarist must use extra care to avoid scratching this material.
      Thank you for continuing to share your, terrific hobby on TH-cam.

      @michaelbrown1015 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@LushAqua there was supposed to be a question mark at the end of that comment, ask I meant it to be asking you if you sealed with silicon after it was assembled. It looked like there was beads of silicone in the bottom seams and going up the corner seams until about a 1/2 from the top. That's why I was asking. Does this acrylic bonding glue dry into like a "bead" look, or am I just seeing shit. Sorry, didn't mean to sound accusatory.

      @@michaelbrown1015 I really appreciate you watch this video thoroughly. The point which you noted is correct but that is not silicon. When the project was done I went back and place the tank on its edge and apply one more round of acrylic glue on every egde from inside. That was unnecessary and didn't incorporate that in video(video was getting really long). I wanted my tank to be extra sturdy because I have a transferable job. Thank you. Stay tuned🤝🤝
