thanks for ur craft video! It helps a lot!😊 I hav some questions! Is 3mm or 4mm acrylic thick hard to withstand water pressure? I wonder what T(mm) is optimum to withstand water pressure, such as less than 10L, more than 10L in fishtank. And is it okay not to reinforce or follow up to prevent leaking.
I have made 120 litres tank with 5mm acrylic sheet. This tank is still going good. But I think you should use 5mm only for 10 litres tank because 3mm and 4mm sheet will bend alot with water pressure.. all the best. Stay tuned 🤝🤝
@@LushAquaCool . I would like to know how much It would cost approximately to build 120ltr aquarium and how long the adhesive will last with water . Btw pls share tank dimensions and video or pic of that will be appreciated. Thank you great build.
I've seen some tutorials that say to use silicone on the seams after the acrylic has welded together. Do you ever feel like you needed silicone though? Or is the glue enough on its own?
Silicon will seal the leakage if any. But, there is no point of using silicon in acrylic tank. As Acrylic tanks are meant for their clarity. Use thick cyanoacrylate glue. They are transparent and doesn't leave whitness.
Well done. I want to make the same. A question: After using Cyanoacrylate you did spray something. Do I real use that spay after Cyanoacrylate? Greetings from The Netherlands

Hello 🤝🤝. the spray that i have used here is cyanoacrylate activator. It's helps in curing the weld fast. Some time cyanoacrylates takes 1day to cure 100%. I have tried without it and failed.
I hate to be that guy, but cyanoacrylate (superglue) is not meant for structural acrylic builds. Will it bond the panels? Sure, but they will come apart over time. Not to mention your use of an activator (acetone), which creates micro cracks in acrylic. For anyone building an acrylic aquarium, use a solvent such as Weldon 4. Weldon does not "glue" the panels, instead it melts the acrylic, making two pieces into one.
I'd love to diy my acrylic tanks, do you have any reccommend which brand of acrylic binder adhesive out there in the market that give seamless glueing?
2reasons 1. acrylics can be weld using cyanoacrylates (super glue). Science. 2. Differential price of product that you have suggested and i have used is 24 times. Stay tuned 🤝🤝🙏🙏

Thx for this❤
Thankyou. Stay tuned..👍👍🙏🙏
Don't use cyanoacrylate it can leak after sometime, instead, use weld on acrylic cement which will make 2 piece of acrylic bound as 1
Never had an issue in last 4 years. Cyanoacrylate does the same on acrylic. But thank you for insight. 🤝
@@LushAquano it does NOT
Wah nice
Thank you. Stay tuned..
Do a great job 👍❤❤
Thank you stay turned 🤝🤝
Is activator cumpolsury to use ? Or i can wait for it to cure? And also can i use fewi kvik? 1mm acrylic is fine for a 6cm tank rt?😊
Hey can i use 3 mm acrylic glass for 25 cm cube tank what is your suggestion
3mm will bend alot.. go for 5mm atleast for 25 cm... All the best. Stay tuned 🤝🤝
What acrylic cutter did you used?
Sorry for late reply. I had processed it through table saw machine only.
Everyone made acrylic tanks seem harder to make is this really all it takes???
Sir idol what is the name of that glue you use pls
Sir, this was simple cyanoacrylate glue

I'm not sure silicone even bonds to acrylic properly? that's why you use the glue
@@LushAquajust thinking they use aqua safe silicone so safe for animals. So is this ok or need to be covered with aqua safe silicone
hey how long does the glue need to dry and strong?
If you use cyanoacrylate activator, it will cure immediately. If not 2-3 days will take to properly cure.
The sheets are not simple 1' x 1' correct? Because 2 of them must me smaller of "2x5mm". Otherwise it will not fit on the bottom......
Yes 2 sheets are 1cm smaller than other 2 sheets
what thickness do you recommend for 3ft x 1ft x 1ft tank?
85 litres, minimum 5mm to 8mm acrylic with good bracing would be enough.
I have made this 120 litres with 5mm sheet.

What is the size of the tank
This is a nano tank. 1 feet cube.
Acrylic sheet price..?
For 5mm. It is Rs 150 per sq ft.
What the price of acrylic sheet per square ft
This was ₹120 per sqft.. stay tuned🤝🤝
How much mm of acrylic is required for 8 feet tank?pls reply
8x2x2 = 32feet cube and 900 litres. Joey frm King of DIY uses 24mm acrylic sheet for his 250 gallon tank.. Stay tuned.

Here acrylic sheet is ₹120 per square feet.
