Haha here I am doing some research for my girlfriend and I'm figuring out that, once I was recommended to use a little bit of Vaseline on my nails every night to keep them healthy and I feel like it derives from the same reason, correct me if I'm wrong but I feel like it could benefit us guys and girls ofc too. Idk too much so it'd be nice to have some sorta confirmation.
Hi there! Everyone can benefit from some cuticle care! I would always recommend a cuticle oil or a lotion over Vaseline though. Vaseline is a petrolatum based product which is a lubricant but don’t contain any hydrating ingredients.
Actually it’s the opposite! When the cuticles get dry they pull away and then gel pulls up. Cuticle oil can actually prevent lifting. I can tell which of my clients are using it and which aren’t
I have that same question about dip nails! But I'm guessing I know the answer now hahah 🙄 The confusing part for me is because I hear that "oil getting under where the adhesive is can undermine it" so I was always nervous to use cuticle oil in fear it would do that!
@@TheBeautyExpert nope I'm not allergic to anything so im confused! My skin is sensitive so maybe its the fragrance? on the lookout for fragrance free cuticle oils :)
You made me grab my cuticle oil. thanks
Goal achieved!! You’re welcome
Thank you, I've never been to a salon before and was gifted a vial of nail & cuticle oil. Didn't know what it's use was. Now I do!
Yay!! I’m so glad I could help :)

I really wanted solar oil for so many years but it’s just so overly pricey in my country :(
Oh that sucks! It is a really nice product but there are lots of others I like too :) do you have access to Star Nail products or Sparitual?
@@TheBeautyExpert Yeah :)
Nice!! The Sparitual Cuti Cocktail is super nice, and I often buy the star nail cuticle lol, it comes in a nice big bottle with a dropper
@@TheBeautyExpert oh thanks a lot for recommendations. It was really great talking to you :))
I have heard using cuticle oil when you have gel nails will cause the gel to lift. Is that true???
Actually it’s the opposite! When the cuticles get dry they pull away and then gel pulls up. Cuticle oil can actually prevent lifting. I can tell which of my clients are using it and which aren’t
I have gel nails and use cuticle oil all the time it helps my nails last longer x

Just make sure you are prepping the nail properly before application:) once the product is on and cured the oil won’t affect the adhesion at all!
@@TheBeautyExpert Awesome! Just what I needed to hear, I'll be using that cuticle oil religiously !
I bought me some cuticle oil after getting my nails done purple and I have to say wow my toes are looking succulent! 🥰🐐❤️👣💅
(Yes I am a boy lol.)
Yay!!! Good for you, you’ll find it makes such a difference in how the nails last! And purple is always one of my fav shades to wear 💜
the CND oil gave me bumps and irritation on my cuticle i dont know what to do
Oh shoot! I’m sorry to hear that! Do you have an allergy to almond oil?
@@TheBeautyExpert nope I'm not allergic to anything so im confused! My skin is sensitive so maybe its the fragrance? on the lookout for fragrance free cuticle oils :)
It very well could be the fragrance! At most drug stores you can buy vitamin e oil, you might give that a try :)
@@TheBeautyExpert thank you sm☺️
