Ornn is perhaps one of the most underrated Champions in terms of the impact he can have on his team regardless of how well he’s doing. Ornn brings in new mechanics to the game that no other Champion has access to and continues to leave most players confused how the Ornn seems to win even when underperforming! Like many players will agree, Ornn is essentially the pinnacle of an all-rounder. Ornn, the Fire below the Mountain, was added to the Champion arsenal a little over five years ago and has seen few changes since release. I’ve just checked 3 brittle combo and it doesn’t work. Even though I saw and heard 3 brittle’s animations in my combo, but there was no damage from one brittle. The damage was equal to 2 brittle combo and 1 auto attack hit. I did both combos, with the auto attack and extra brittle, the damage is the same

I just went into practice mode to test this out and while there are three brittles being placed on the enemy, its unrealistic that you'll AA or knock up to break the first brittle proc. Given the combo has you Q and E, we can assume the enemy player is right ontop of us give or a take a little bit of space. And given where you are standing is the pivot point of your ultimate when you knock it back, the enemy player is too close and being brittle proc'd twice in a row within a second. If you have two enemies in very different directions further away from you you can see how they can both get proc'd but of course you're not near them to AA anyways.
