COVID lockdowns hit and I ran out to buy my first motorcycle at 30 years old. I test drove nearly every motorcycle I could get my hands on after getting my license and fell in love with the Indian Scout Bobber. I got the matte black 1133cc ABS variant, immediately slapped a performance air intake and radical radius pipes on her with the floating saddle seat and have been ripping up the city ever since. It's about 111 hp, loud af, and I often get people pulling up next to me hanging out their window yelling at me how sexy my bike is. Basically it's a stool with handles mounted to a rocketship. I've been extremely satisfied with my motorcycling experience so far, and look forward to building a collection.

Rode a Honda Rebel 500 for about a year. Then I upgraded to a Scout Bobber. I liked the Rebel. There is nothing wrong with the bike, it’s solid. Reliable. But there is something about the Scout that makes me excited. It’s the looks. It’s the way it feels planted to the road and make me enjoy cornering and acceleration. The bobber is a bike I love. You can’t measure that. But I’d recommend looking for that kind of emotional connection. Because let’s face it: for most of us the motorcycle isn’t purely a means for transportation. It’s very much a toy too. So get the one you actually love.

To me, it looked like a classic old bike with a modern touch, just slap on some white walls and you got yourself a sweeeeet looking iron steed. Thanks for the video. Have been riding my 2021 Scout Bobber for about a year now (came over from the old school Nighthawk 750, then the Honda Shadow) and it’s a fantastic bike. It’s my daily commute bike and weekend rides. I’m 6’2 and am perfectly comfortable on the bike. Only upgrades I added where the headlight and passenger seat. Removed the first baffle on each pipe to improve the sound. The bike definitely turns heads, rides great, looks great and since I try to avoid potholes and large burns, the suspension hasn’t been an issue for me.
IMO it’s the best looking and riding bike you can buy today for under 14k brand new. The attention to detail is excellent also with the branding. Only ‘upgrade’ I’d like to see become available, is the same ride command gauge as the Chief’s have.

My Scout Bobber 20 is my first “big boy” bike and I love it. The taller handle bars on the 20 might not look as cool but at 5 foot 9 I find it really comfortable. After tweaking the suspension for my weight it handles bumps fairly well. However with the compromised riding position and my arms being on the shorter size the reach is pretty dramatic, and my bum goes numb relatively quickly. It’s so much fun and a basic yet visceral, and beautiful.

I sat on a scout bobber and I don't know why anyone would choose it over the original scout other than for looks. The big fenders (when you get caught in the rain) and extra inch of rear suspension travel make the Scout a much better choice as a daily driver. 30,000 hard miles on mine, and not a single mechanical issue. BTW programmer/intake/pipes really wake theese engines up. Just my $.02 on the scout.

I’m 5’8” 220 and I think it’s a good fit. The one thing you hit the mail on the head with is how it scrapes the pegs on turns. It’s happened plenty of times and it makes it hard to give it that lean I need for a turn, but over all the bike has the power when you need it or the subtlety when you don’t. I love it overall

I love my Scout Bobber - it's just a fun ride, nimble with power for days and feels planted on the road. I have the Bobber 20, so it came with 10" mini ape hangers and spoke wheels. It's gorgeous from the dealership, but it's ultimately a jumping off point where you can customize it any way you want, and the aftermarket is wide open. At this time in my life, the bobber is a perfect bike for me, so much so that I'm not even interested in looking around. I predict I'll be riding my bobber for years to come.

Got my ISB, in matte black of course lol, about 3 weeks ago and I love it. It's a bike I always wanted and I honestly have no real complaints. I'm 5'6" with hobbit legs and its a great fit. I already changed out the exhaust to the Freedom Performance 2-1 Combat and it does the engine justice. The stock exhaust didn't do it at all. I've done other minor changes, but my main concern was the exhaust. Eventually I'll change the shocks out since the stock ones can really do a number on the ol' coccyx 😅.

Thanks for the video Yammie- I thought you presented a pretty good summary for the bike. I ride a variation of the scout; rogue 60. Kinda the little brother of the reg scout at a 2500 discount in cost. After riding it near daily and adjusting it to fit my 6’3 frame, it works. It’s not without a few flaws, mostly small personal preferences but so be it. I think they are excellent bikes for newbs or intermediate riders looking to “sport cruise”
Once you tame the smaller 60, a tune and some aftermarket upgrades make it a long lasting enjoyable bike- with a v-twin cruiser, grabbing some torque and revs and HP can be very noticeable with a tune. Overall I love it as a daily bike but would like a dual sport down the road too. My wife is about to become a ninja so we will look awesome and unexpectedly different cruising together down the road-

Had a Honda 500 for a year. Now have a 21 Scout 60, not the bobber version. I love it and has plenty of power for my needs and is still fun to ride in some twisty areas. Seem to have quite a bit of aftermarket support, although not as much as Harley, but still plenty of options to choose from. I do seem to get a bit of a snub at bike night so there is that...

Most bikes will feel slow compared to an mt10 with that beautiful mean crossplane engine on the naked platform…. It would be hard to find the same amount of pull on a cruiser style bike unless you maybe looked at something like the Yamaha VMax…. But then again the scout has 100hp verses the vmax roughly 200hp

After fighting back and forth with the factory over warranty covered electrical issues that kept shutting off the engine of my 2017 Scout without warning, and kicking up a "Coils Open" OBD code. I trailered it to the regional distributer and traded it in on a Spyder. Hopefully, they have rectified the issues, but I don't trust Indian anymore. Especially after the way St. Cloud treated me.

Love my 2020 Scout Bobber. Switched out the horrific stock seat for a Corbin, went with the V&H slashcuts for exhaust, and upgraded the rear shocks with the Super Shox that are designed exclusively for the ISB. All that made it a much better bike, but it’s still not an ideal long distance bike, but that’s not what it’s designed for. It’s amazing for tearing around town and short hopping to the beach. Definitely what I was looking for.

I beg to differ. I think the new Harley Sportster S is the bike Harley built to compete. It’s slightly more powerful then the scout and has a more modern speedo.
I’ve had an Indian scout since 2017 and I still love it. I don’t think I’ll ever sell it. The engine is bullet proof. Polaris did a great job with the Indian brand. They appealed to the younger generation that knows Harley as “an old man’s bike.”

at work over the last two years.

I look forward to having a bobber scout and a Chieftain.
Seeing Indian motorcycles versus Harleys in the shop,
Indiana are there for regularly scheduled maintenance,
Harleys are in because they rattled loose then pissed oil out til they nearly fried.
