Saw him in concert in 2018. He opened the show for the Eagles here in Houston Tx. Hell of a show he put on, andc the Eagles were amazing. Best concert I've ever been to. Eagles are a must watch live in concert as well.

Rock, blues, country, rhythm and blues, soul, Stapleton has it all, in one package. He is an American treasure.
He’s like Howling Wolf, Chris Cornell, Janis Joplin and Joe Cocker all in one singer but he’s his own.
I've always thought of him as more of a spiritual love child of Etta James and Stevie Ray Vaughan, but you make a good point.
This is what would happen if Sam cooke had a baby with Etta James, and Stevie had a baby with Janis joplin......and somehow those kids grew up and met eachother and had a baby, that baby would be Chris stapleton.
Couldn't stand Janis Joplin, overrated as hell.
Chris is a gifted hard working man. And it shows in that voice.

You're absolutely right and this man's music believe it or not I know it may sound crazy but it has really helped me out with my anger management. I have went from listening to rap music to Chris Stapleton and it has made me a whole lot different person on the inside, haven't said that I'm not knocking nobody's music it's just something about his music touches me in a way like never before,it makes me want to spend more time with my family wow this is crazy never thought I could feel this way about music.
I'm a 69 year old southern white woman. I grew up listening to the Blues, Jazz, R&B and Soul. Chis Stapleton is the first artist I've heard in 50 years that I could sit and listen to him and no one else the rest of my life. As a matter of fact this is my third day in a row.
He’s truly something special. Best singer/songwriter of my lifetime.

Fellas ... I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your true love of good music and recognizing what a special talent Chris Stapleton is. Good music is good ... whether it’s blues, R & B, country, gospel, hip hop, rock, pop, metal, classical... all genres have something to offer ... but a guy like Stapleton - he combines so many different types of music ... it just ain’t right to pigeon hole what he does under one specific genre... and it’s obvious to me that you guys see that too. I’m just a Kentucky man like Chris Stapleton... but similar to him and you guys ... I have been to many concerts and all of them were great. But I had the opportunity to go see Chris Stapleton in concert in Lexington KY back in April. It was awesome. The best concert ever. I actually cried twice when he was singing.

Nobody sings like Chris! Those cracks you’re talking about are what make his voice so unique. If you check out singing techniques, those “cracks”are really hard to replicate. He’s amazing live

I normally don’t watch reaction videos but I really am enjoying watching yalls because of yalls appreciation for the details of the music. Y’all have a great ear for soul blues music. Chris Stapleton is one of the few musicians out there still that can send chills through my body. His voice makes me tear up just out of pure reaction. Y’all should do a video of “midnight train to Memphis” by Chris Stapleton and the steeldrivers. And “angel of the night” by them as well. This is the bluegrass band he used to play with before he went solo, and let me tell you, these songs make me feel something deep in my soul. I think y’all would really appreciate these.

I recently discovered Chris Stapleton myself. I love old blues but not a huge country fan. I agree he is very bluesy! You can hear the pain in his songs and in that way he reminds me of Janis Joplin who is one of my favorite artists.

Growing up as a singer myself & taking vocal lessons, every person has cracks & raspiness to their voice but it’s learning when & how to control your voice that it’s imperfectly perfect.
