Boy, you hit the nail right on the head!! I’ve lived in New Hampshire for all of my 71 years. WHATEVER YOU DO, under no circumstances should you move here! It’s horrible!
I'm late to the party but wanted to comment. My wife and I moved to Southern NH in the mid 1970s from the Chicago area. As a result we are always been amused by complaints about the weather. NH has more snow but is warmer than the Chicago area. If you are going to live in a place with winter that seems to be a good tradeoff to me. Although over the last few years the weather has changed and now we have much less snow and more freezing rain - that makes life interesting. Property taxes vary a lot by town, they are highly dependent on the mix residential/commercial/industrial property. That being said the overall tax burden is lower than other states, but not nearly as low as some folks assume, but that also means NH is pretty miserly providing state benefits. All in all we are happy to live here and our two adult children continue to live in the state.
i already live in the NE region of the US. been comparing Vermont, NH, Maine, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. OBVIOUSLY im aware it is not going to be cheap. However, coming from NJ, everything is cheaper. I've already spent a lot of time in Vermont but i hear NH is just a better overall option.

I am a homebody. The homebodies are the least likely to get bored. I would go outside there in the beautiful nature. I don't mind being places as long as there are no people. Sales taxes can be federally deductible as well, but the record keeping is a nightmare. There is also the SALT cap to consider. The standard deduction amount is more favorable to most taxpayers.
NH's property taxes not only have a high millage rate, but NH also taxes 100% of assessed value (full market value) of the property - and real estate prices in NH are astronomical. I sold my standard colonial in Exeter, and retired to a 5,000sf riverfront showplace on 3 acres (with $100K left over), and my annual property tax went from $14K to $1,500. Arkansas only taxes 20% of the property's market value. Also, there's virtually NO BREAKS in NH property tax for a Homestead Exemption, or for the elderly or disabled. Unless you're a govt worker with a fat pension, you WILL be taxed out of your home in southern NH.
Well, I suppose the state still needs funding to assist with its responsibility of course and property tax is perhaps the most ethical tax as no one created the land and thus it belongs to everyone you are not taxing the people for the value created on products or selling those products but mainly only taxing them for their usage of the land (effectively like a lease for that which is owned by everyone theoretically). That's just my guess though, from this perspective it still seems to work fairly well with more like libertarian principles and ethics as supposed to other taxes.

Actually last 5 years winters are not bad other southern states had worst weather
New Hampshire mite have a high real-estate tax. But we don’t have all the bullshit of people up my ass. I live in northern New Hampshire where are tax’s are very reasonable I would never move away from here
Considering a move to NH... love reading/ listening to all kinds of info -- have to chuckle at the absurd complaint of property taxes; currently pay $11,000 property tax on a home assessed @ $350,000 in NYS. This video claims $11,000 tax fee in NH would be on a home assessed @ $500,000. Hmmm.... NH looking good
Lots of snow isn’t a deterrent from moving there. But no trader Joe’s. That’s a huge reason, for me.
You have mental problems. It`s not for you.
There is Trader Joe’s in Bedford, NH, Nashua NH and Portsmouth NH.
The window tint thing is stupid AF🙄😒 we have 20% on our front and 5% all around, on all of our cars. That is a really stupid law. Especially in a very low crime state.
Dont vote democrat when you move to new Hampshire keep it free!!!!
So free huh but Republicans continue to not pass a pot bill and make it legal!..super high taxes but this is a red state now. So I think I know what party isn't helping NH
More snow for me I guess
A ton of houses here have wood stoves.
My house in NH sure does. It's a prerequisite for us.
Me who’s currently having a roadtrip to New Hampshire:💀
May your soul rest in peace 🙏
@@wowok3509 lol.. I’M STILL IN THE DAM CAR
@@KinitoPETzHow was your trip to New Hampshire? I'm planning on going before the summer ends
@@kraftyjae8915💀💀💀💀
what does bro have against new hampshire
I love New Hampshire!
I live in Hillsborough. I pay high tax rate of like 15k. But i live i the top 10 best towns in the state. Get what you pay for. I would never leave goffstown. Mass is a dump. Great schools mass loves to move here. Stay away. Love it.
Keep Californians out too!!!
Has to be better than New Jersey - big taxes, high property taxes, high car insurance, toll roads, high sales tax, and mean people
Where isn't better than New Jersey?
Actually big cities like Philly, Baltimore, Detroit etc
@@gyges5495 You got that right!
When they tell you not too move there move there ..
Come and visit then leave. Like, Welcome to NH then go home. That works for me! I do not want to look at you or smell you for too long or ever.
snow people are awesome.
I live in NH :(
I live in Nh…
NH is very much like the rest of Northern New England. It not only is not very ethnically or racial diverse it is also old. The average age of someone in living in NH is 43. The only state with a higher average age is Maine with 45 years.
Racial and ethnic diversity is a false narrative. It means squat to no one but the woke.
Thus low crime and high trust
43 isn't old
i like nh and its weather. but its boring af and filled w weird old ppl. could i have been able to afford school in boston id def have gone and not come back, but ill jus wait till i graduate n get a job there instead.
Check out the property taxes now with January 2024 Doubled. For what
Hey Cody I hate to say it but this video really shoots me down. 😢
You don’t have too Cathy, you live in New Hampshire?
montana and new england> any other state
You do realize New England is a region? 😭
New Hampshire is best state to move to, I don't know what your taking about 😅
Top 10 reasons not to move to New Hampshire... we don't want you here (repeat ten times) 😎 #Native
I found this video to be as exciting as watching a PowerPoint presentation. Or watching paint dry.
Nothing more boring than charts and graphs 📊 .
How about show some of New Hampshire, and its people. These graphs are like a tranquilizer!zzz......
Connecticut roads are much worse I rather ride my street bike in New Hampshire
Too late! I already moved here.
The winters in New Hampshire aren't that bad. I've lived here for 45 years and survived every one!😉
Snow x 5
Freezing your as$ off x 5
Let’s not forget that New Hampshire is one of the least diverse states in the nation
Did you have a point?
Exactly why many love. If you want diversity, there are many other options. Can't force people to March to a PC narrative.
op on the smoooooth brain
@@RoddyPipersCorneas I came here to say that. I'm not white either.
As an minority, I care not
Beautiful place but the water tastes disgusting in Atkinson.
Same as most cities in Mass. Water filter will fix it.
Ya dont move here! Go somewhere else like florida!
To late
THE GREEK MAFIA. RUNS MANCHESTER
