Not everything is solved yet...The Nur empire why are they trying to invade so much? In book 3 they will try and solve the issue with the Nur empire.
It is revealed why they try to invade in book 5 which has one of the best antagonists.(The antagonist appears in chapter 16, so far im impatient)
The epilogue and side stories will help alleviate a bit of the stress they have gone through.
Rae: Miss Claire!

Claire: You’re asking me this n-now? In public? Isn’t that something you’re supposed to do when we’re alone?!
Rae kisses Claire
Rae: I wanted a first kiss whose taste I could remember.
Claire: You are so, so, so! Rae you are so Rae, you’re always so-so Rae! I won’t forgive you if you don’t make me happy.
Me: Congratulations Rae and Claire!
I love Claire's gay panic when Rae proposed in front of all their friends and acquaintances and must forget fishing Rod, 🎣 then follows the proposal with such a public kiss. Oops that should read must not forget fishing Rod. 🎣 Then again! 😉
A lot of stories tend to finish with one of the main characters confessing and the other one reciprocating. So it's nice to see the main story end with a proposal instead.
Lambert, Lene and one of Jenny's wifeus, Manaria return to join team Rae, helping Rae to save her wife from the putrid stench of decaying mouldy salad dressing's getting rid of the evidence sham trial and execution. Oh, and almost forgot saving Dole Whip, Rae's father in law. Cheeky for a Commoner book 3 gives more insight into events leading up to the trial.
Rae's scolding Claire about her decision to sacrifice herself and breaking down in front of Claire showed Claire just how much she had hurt Rae by making that decision. I don't think Claire fully understood just how much Rae loved her until she heard Rae choose to die with her. Claire probably thought Rae would morn Claire's death, but eventually move on with her life. It must have felt like a stab in the heart for Claire to learn that that would not be the case, as her sacrifice would effectively result in Rae's death and worse if Rae choose to go first.
Mouldy salad dressing controlled assassin Rae! Shudder! It could be creepy Rae the black lady of Villainess, saying in a Creepy Rae black lady voice "bye bye" to her target.
If they make a second season covering the rest of book 2 (session 1 included the first chapter), the episodes covering the last 2 chapters (excluding the epilogue) will be hard to watch.
The bonus chapters aren't spoilers as such but more like flashbacks / back stories for the final 3 books. If you are interested in how the bonus chapters fit into the time line, below is the authors time line reading suggestion with some extra bits added by myself, where I think they fit in:

When I was reading the Claire books, it amused me to know end how Salas’ people were collectively shitting their pants after Rae’s attack. Apparently Salas was so freaked out that his precious masterpiece and many of his personal guard were taken down, he moved up the date of the execution.
Speaking of the Claire books, they finally settled a matter that had been bugging me ever since I read this for the first time. As you read, Rod lost an arm, but the book never clarified which arm?! Now I know it was his right arm and I can finally update my mental image of him in future chapters. Thought I’d have to wait for the manga to get that answer.
Anyway, a huge part of why Claire thought she could go through with this idiotic sacrifice is because she assumed Rae would be fine without her. But Rae is so hung up on Claire, she is actually kind of hopeless without her. We got a taste of it back in the Scales of Love arc.
Good thing that Manaria’s ridiculously OP spell breaker magic saved Lilly, and Rae. Imagine the kind of damage and destruction an evil, more powerful version of Rae could do? I wouldn’t want to fight them. Yep, it’s fortunate there is no one more ridiculously OP than Manaria.
You’re pretty much almost done with Part 1, which you could consider the actual romance part of the series. From this point on, Rae and Claire are equal partners, scheming in secret together! 😈😈
I'm finally caught up on these videos (and so are my comments on them).
Rae not trusting Miss Claire has definitely been a thing over the course of these stories. She wanted to be treated as an equal and didn't even realize how unequal she herself was acting. Personally, I think it's because she was an adult in her old life and has a sort of "grownups know best" attitude. She definitely needed to respect Miss Claire's judgment more and stop with the "this is for her own good" mess. I've just started reading Book Three, myself, so we'll see how they grow in their relationship roles.
Poor Rod. He's been such a rock through all this (see my previous comment about him), and now he plays the clown when you just know losing his arm and almost dying has to have messed him up inside. At least he got to help save the day; that's gotta feel pretty good. Still, he now has to watch the love of his life marry someone else. Oh, well.
Speaking of married lovers...I'm okay with Lambert and Lene being married. I just hope they don't have any kids.

Also… love the creepy “evil Rae” voice, you might want to keep that in mind… books 3-5 have a whole new variety of characters, and that voice might be perfect for one of them.
But for now, prepare to meet the twins… they will steal your heart
Yayyyy what a wonderful ending.Rei learned to be selfish and finally got her girl! And we got our girl with the return of Manaria (pause for Jenny cheer). There’s still many secrets to discover and yuri to swoon over in the later books so I hope you keep reading. ❤
So in the end, Rei’s fave prince became king, the villainous Salad was defeated, and she and Claire get to live their lives in domestic bliss. She got everything she ever could have wanted, like it was straight out of fan fiction.
It’s almost as like reality itself is under her control.
