Yay Tomo episode! I love how all of them looks like they'll be mismatched at first but togetoge blends so well together. Nina's development now is more evident here too haha. The drive to improve more definitely moved Tomo. And I know this is a Tomo episode but the interactions between Momoka and Nina (as short as it may be) has a different air to it. Their banters are more lighthearted too. (Also I love how Tomo and Rupa expected for Nina to go to Momoka’s place first when her ac broke). Also regarding Nina asking Momoka about her skills, I think Momoka’s response can also be read as her way of asking if Nina wants her honest opinion or not and since Momoka asked that, it's obvious what the answer is lol (the subs are a bit weird sometimes lol)
It's interesting how different Nina starts to act in this episode. She's less angry, less impulsive, and seemingly more at peace. I don't know if it'll ever be confirmed outright, but to me it looks like the relief of Momoka staying with the band and Nina being able to confess her feelings last episode have taken a huge weight off of Nina's shoulders. 37:00 I agree here. Tomo doesn't seem to know how to give constructive criticism. There's nothing the listener can take from just "you suck", which makes being on the receiving end of Tomo's criticism all the more frustrating.
While Rupa is a bit more of an optimist and Subaru is more of a realist, they share a lot of best girl qualities like being level-headed and pretty emotionally stable. They're more upbeat than Tomo. They work to de-escalate whatever chaos Nina starts. Ask a question and you get a straight answer, unlike Momoka, where you often have to pry a cryptic response out of her.
