I always forget how cool this moment is. You suddenly hear a strangers voice narrating a Delos video. At the time you didn't realize how the cool channel was suddenly going to just get soo much better and become what it is. Also, intellectually, it is a smart, SMART idea giving us a voice coming to Delos for the first time, it allows viewers to imagine their own visit--which, for most, will never happen. Also, also, Frida and Max are such good eggs.
I can tell now it's the captain that makes this whole thing come together. He's so level headed. And patient too, with seven people on board. Loved seeing your boat below the water line. I didn't realize the prop came out the keel. And that bow thruster, wow. That is a really cool sailing yacht. To bad you didn't have more time to paint something really cool on the bottom of the boat. Cheers!
Enter Max and Frida. They really add a lot of extra creativity and joy to the Delos crew. What massive work during the haulout! Kudos for getting it done. Only now after watching many of your later episodes do I realize that Max Noremo, talented musician, is actually your crew member, Manskraft. Special applause for his fine work. An enjoyable episode.
Said it before and will say it again...Frida and Max are the PERFECT crew! Throwing them straight into sanding and painting, and they did so well! Wow! In case anyone isn't sure, doing that kind of work, in this kind of heat and humidity, is pure torture (I know, I've done it often enough on s/y Esper). Fantastic job! And cool drone footage!
Good to have an "artiste" along to make sure the boot line stays sharp, Frida. I'll bet we'll see your peace sign in future episodes. Great music, Max! I hope you two stay with the crew a long time. It must be a boat geek kind of thing, but when Delos was first hauled out on the lift, I had to catch my breath and thought, "there's our beautiful girl with her sweet lines." Wow. All these episodes. About time she got a good mani-pedi. Shiny new zincs, yay!
Showing the biggest member of the crew some tender loving care are some of my favorite shows going back to show 15. showing the repairs and upkeep on Delos shows that she will be around for a long time to come. the ship that i was an engineer is still at sea for 29 years now so keep up the good work. just a quick note my friends and i all way keep an eye for the new shows that you put out cant wait for the next one.
+sabastan2 Yea, you really want to give some TLC to the ship, and she gives you that and so much more back in return! Fair winds, and thanks for watching! Brian
All I can say is you guys and gals ROCK. To prep, sand, prime and paint, not to mention the prop refinish and bearings along with a buff job on the exterior of a 52' boat in 5 days total is NOTHING less than AMAZING. And the job looks awesome. Enjoy the life you have made for yourselves....
+Sunny W Yea, what an amazing crew and good teamwork to pull it off! We had a big incentive to get her in the water and start sailing of course :) Fair winds- Brian
Brian, Kudos to you and your team. I'm a retired eengineer and am amazed at what projects you take on. Fixing motors, A/Cs, water makers, sails, and painting your boat. Tremendous effort but I'm sure we'll worth it. Though I don't really need to you have inspired me to fix things before getting a new one. More power to ya and your team. Best wishes and fair sailing.
Hey Michael, right on glad to hear that. We do fix most things out. Most of the time where we are the local people are ingenious at fixing anything, as there's no way to buy new so we can learn lot's from there. Fair Winds and wishing you the best! Brian
The music created by Max is phenomenal! Someone hire Max !!! Lol And Frida's narrating voice is amazing.... Sorry Brian .. lol. And props to Brian for his filming and drone skills and Karin for sweet beauty she brings to the boat! Love the Delos journeys! ⛵⛵⛵
What incredible personality s you have Ability to meld with everybody and everything. flagstaff, Arizona. I wouldnt of flipped a coin on that. ASU was my and my brothers school. Land surveying was my profession. Long way from the sea. Especially since i was born on the azores your narrations and experiences have been beautiful. Lets me glimpse at my childhood. Been in Mexico for 35 years Love you guys Thank you over and over. A comp engr become ship captain is a kicker. 10 years only a hand away from your each other 2 incredible people. Thx again for letting me share in your life and dreams.
Originally I wrote, "I love the technical and boat stuff the most!", but your balance between stories, history, personalities, adventure, tourism, culture, etc doesn't suck at all!
Perfect. Of course I really enjoy the whole series of Delos videos - but this is really good to watch, nice to see Delos out of the water and how the months and years of sailing effects the hull. Good job Delos crew!
You would never know Delos is 50 years old. Brian you have really taken good care of her. I can tell shes your pride and joy. You are an amazing man!! Shes a beautiful vessel. Absolutely georgous!!
I have not been watching the videos in order. I'm new to Delos. This episode was one of my favorites. I have incredibly more respect for Frida and Max after seeing how their first few days went and how willing they were to work super hard on the boat. Love you all.
Found your channel about 3 days ago and I am 57 episodes deep. I am from Miami and happen to have quite some time in the saltwater (as us Miami people do). Just wanted to show some respect for banging out this project in 5 days...and also for Max's skills - this music was great! I am an electronic music fan so I know what goes into this music and I know a hit when I hear one. Max's music is great, but I don't need to tell you that. Cheers and full sails, Drew.
Wow! I finally got home and am able to watch. I love how much of yourselves you put out there for us to watch. It was awesome to 'meet' Frida and Max. Their adventurous nature is awesome, and its good to know that I'm not the only crazy person who is going to head off on a sailing adventure without having been sailing before. We're also getting ready to do a haul out on our new-to-us boat, so I feel like I'm a tiny bit more prepared. I can't believe how much bigger Delos seems out of the water! I love that you do so much of the work yourselves and the way you do things just reminds me of us. Thank you (again) for sharing.
+Oh Sail Yes Right on guys, thanks so much for the inspiring comment! Best of luck during your haul out, and thanks so much for watching. Means a lot to us! Brian
Love to see an Amel getting the attention she deserves for keeping you guys all safe for so many years. She's probably going to need an engine rebuild by 2020 and a full refit on your next lap around the planet when your back in Thailand.
+Michael Zietlow Yea no doubt man we're pushing 6000 hours on both the main diesel and gennie..... Getting close but she'll hold together for a bit longer :) Fair Winds- Brian SV Delos
When Karin told Frieda to just bring a bikini and a smile, she forgot to mention to also bring a hazmat suit. And when Karin told Brian that her friend Frieda was a painter, I think Brian envisioned a house painting contractor. Those guys certainly earned their keep. AND they produced and created the music for this episode. Great crew and an excellent first episode to a wonderful season. This is about my 4th time thru the videos. They never get old.
Frida, I've always enjoyed the narrating the crew of Delos has done, but you may have taken it up a notch. Nicely done by all! Sending a beer your way!
Thanks for keeping it real!! Beyond the fun and excitement of sailing to exotic places, it's great that you devote time to show how much work it really takes to maintain your boat. Many others tend to gloss over that aspect. For me, it makes your other videos all the more enjoyable knowing how much effort you put in behind the scenes!! Great job!! And glad to see the gang back together. Safe travels!!
Wow, I'm excited for all you guys to be together on the boat! Enjoy the good times. Good job on bottom paint. the harder you work the sooner you get back to cruising!
I've watched all of them so far. I have to say Frida's voice is amazing. Hope she does commentary on future videos. Also, I plan on making my wife watch your videos in the hopes that she allows me/us to follow in your footsteps/wake. The plan is to learn to sail out in the open ocean then take the wife and kids on adventures similar to yours. Thanks for the inspiration.
+Riley Hartman Hey Riley, right on man! Glad to hear you have future plans of cruising. It really is an awesome lifestyle for a family. If you haven't already be sure to check out www.sailingtotem.com/ . They've been out with their kids for a long time now and have lot's of cool resources. BTW- The next video is actually narrated by Frida as well so stay tuned :)
Glad to see that you provided MAX and FRIDA with the opportunity to REALLY learn what sailing entails. Oh...wait a minute...we have to HAUL OUT and WORK really hard for about 10 days!
I started watching during some of the latest episodes, went back, and coming upon Frida and Max's intro had me oddly excited to see you guys. That's how genuinely positive and wholesome you guys all are, sending goodness through time and space. Love how your personalities break that barrier
Anyone not used to boating doesn't no the hard work that's needed for all the nice sailing adventure. After these kind of work your hole body is screaming for massage, shower and rest. There is constant maintenance on a boat which is seen in the videos. Well done all of you
When I started watching, the view count was 535 and by the end was 770. I would say your popularity is rising. Been watching from near the beginning and I am still amazed by how great life on the high seas looks from your videos. Thanks again for giving us a look at paradise. Even all the hard work seems like fun. FWFS. :)
Dengue fever is really bad. I'm glad to see max is okay. We were warned of it when we went to Tahiti for 3 weeks. We spent a week and a half on the island of Moorea and another week and a half on the island of Bora Bora. Amazing and incredible. The mosquito's were very bad at night. I'm over 50 now but I have been to incredible places around the world. Vanuatu, Aruba and more.
Really cool learning more about the technical aspect on the Amiel, a keel-mounted prop shaft, full skeg hung rudder and retractable bow thruster, very cool, very well-thought through french design! I can see why those boats are such popular offshore choices...
+bluetommy77 Yea man, there are some killer features below the water that make the Amel such a good cruising boat. Especially the full skeg rudder. There were two boats alone last year in the Indian Ocean that sank due to rudder loss! Scary.... Fair Winds and thanks for watching! Brian
YEAH I like when they tell us the cost of things like food and drinks and fuel cost. But i hate waiting for the next video seems forever .Love Delos and the crew
Bravo to you guys! We're watching this with sore arms and sunburnt skin from buffing our hull today! +SV Pardon My French Right on, glad you dig OneTox! Such unique music and so cool to think that a few guys from The Solomon's islands are listened to all over now. Fair Winds! Brian
It's great to see the effort it takes to keep the sailboat in good shape. 5 days, 4 people on a 52' boat is no small task and I've seen better sanders. Very well done.. shoulders and back I'd imagine took a beating. But then again... there's always beer. Nice job
New Delos theme song! Awesome.. ! Another great video and adventure.. Live... Laugh... and Love guys! Make some memories and friends.. Life is short even if you lived to be a 100!
Wowwww job well done guys! It's a few days of very hard work, especially in the hot weather, but so satisfying when you see how good she looks again. Have fun and safe sail!
How massive does Delos look out of water but compared to how small she looks in the blue waters of our world 🌍.. ? .. #wow ! Great work you lot as you should be soooo proud 👌🏻👍🏼
As always, a well made video. Loved the drone shots when Delos was going back into the water, and the hand held shots of the carrier were great! You guys have become amazing video producers since you started out, I love seeing you try out new things. So I can steal them!!! Fair winds my brothers!
One day, I could own a sailboat just like that of yours. That's my dream hope it would come true someday. I really enjoyed your videos and inspired to go sailing across the globe. Good luck and Godbless all your journeys/sailings SV Delos ❤️❤️❤️
+John Gerhart Yea, certainly wouldn't happen in most parts of the world, but all good in Malaysia! We did have a good look at the lift first of course and they do a few boats a day so it's well used and looked after :)
Awesome episode - so fun to see all the work you guys are doing. Now I don't have to buy my own boat and sail it - I can get all the job satisfaction from watching you guys do it. :) Also neat to hear a different voice this time around - nice Job Frida!
Well guys, your new crew could not have been broken in any better than this, after this everything else will seem, well perfect. If they can last through this you could not have picked a better pair. good luck and happy sailing guys.
Good videos. Amel is definitely one way to voyage. I’ve been on them. Not fun-responsive to sail but definitely safe and dependable with redundant systems and many creature comforts.
217 :) ahhh 20 minutes of video like 2 seconds!!! Good job all you guys doing that prep work and painting, that will pays off enjoying stunning sunsets... ahh i wish i was there! Fair winds to all u guys, cant wait to see next episodes!
This is the best season by far...……..Max and Frida are proper stars of the crew.

Delos was only 15 years old when this video was made, the boat is a 2000 model.
I can't wait to see how max and Frida enjoy sailing. you guys be safe and continue giving the rest of us something to dream about
Great voiceover by Frida, really made the episode a joy to watch! Impressive work morale, great to see!

+Max Noremo great job on the music. I think you and Frida will be a perfect addition to the wonderful crew of the Delos

+whoosdat1 hey thanks for that, appreciate you staying with us for this incredible journey. Fair Winds and thanks for watching! Brian
I love this journey of life. Even Erin gets a mention for she was a supporting influence to get the Delos a going.
Great video. You all really pumped out the bottom cleaning! Excellent work.
My favorite time of day is Delos time. Thanks for sharing.
my family has the same plastic bowls you guys have on the boat. just another we are connected. best wishes and safe journey delos!!!
+Ken Foers Oh man, those have been onboard since we left Seattle! Can't believe none have flown overboard yet !
Brian
My shoulders hurt just watching... But it's always worth it when she's ready.
Amazed the paint dries so quickly.
YEAH I like when they tell us the cost of things like food and drinks and fuel cost. But i hate waiting for the next video seems forever .Love Delos and the crew
Bravo to you guys! We're watching this with sore arms and sunburnt skin from buffing our hull today! It's our first time in a marina since we've been cruising and we've got two takeaways: it's awesome having wifi to research how to fix things that have broken, but it's also great to get to catch up on the Delos videos we've missed while sailing. Looking forward to finishing more tomorrow :)
+COUCH SAILORS Wow guys, we know that life so well :) We're humbled and honored that you'd use your time and precious bandwidth to watch our vids. Thanks for that! Fair Winds- Brian
Boat work and beers -- the best if the former is the right doses. Had to sand my boat to the gelcoat last year. I empathize. Hey thank you guys for helping me discover ONETOX -- nice to warm the Seattle fall with Solomon tunes. Keep cherishing your freedom, Wishing you safe and adventurous voyages!
Nice job
+Jason Masters Just to be clear.. by sanders i mean the electric sanders they had available to them.
+Jason Masters Yea man, it was a whole heap of work but you have no idea how fulfilling when it was finished. What a great crew! Fair Winds- Brian
Jason Masters..

Love your spirit and your videos. They're a relaxing part of my day. Cheers. Fair winds and following seas!
Great video!
Yes, sailing also means you have to work hard now and then.
After that you can relax for a loooooooong time!
Another great installment. See you in the Caribbean next year!
How massive does Delos look out of water but compared to how small she looks in the blue waters of our world 🌍.. ? .. #wow ! Great work you lot as you should be soooo proud 👌🏻👍🏼
Frida does a great job narrating.
As always, a well made video. Loved the drone shots when Delos was going back into the water, and the hand held shots of the carrier were great! You guys have become amazing video producers since you started out, I love seeing you try out new things.
So I can steal them!!!
Fair winds my brothers!
+John Fox Hey John, cool man thanks for that! Fair Winds! Brian
Love the team work and positivity
And I thought it was a lot of work painting my 23 foot sailboat. Great work Guys and Gals!
One day, I could own a sailboat just like that of yours. That's my dream hope it would come true someday.
I really enjoyed your videos and inspired to go sailing across the globe.
Good luck and Godbless all your journeys/sailings SV Delos ❤️❤️❤️
Hope your great adventure never ends!!

She looks beautiful. Have fun and safe travels.
Thanks for the videos! Hope to be there one day! Didn't realize that Brian was from Flag. Spent some years there, it's awesome!
As always, very nice video, I was a little shocked that they left you guys on during the lift out!
+John Gerhart Yea, certainly wouldn't happen in most parts of the world, but all good in Malaysia! We did have a good look at the lift first of course and they do a few boats a day so it's well used and looked after :)
Really cool. Great music Max. What great team work to get that big job done so quickly.
Shows a part of the life that not many people experience (life in Tyvec). Retractable bow thruster? So cool! :)
You, da man Brian. And all you guys are amazing. Follow this guy!! well follow all of this . You are all a part of MAgic.!!
Everytime i watch your videos, the first thing i think is: "Damn, they know how to live their lives..."
I remember them that are under the ccp rules and living in communes or labor camp.

Awesome episode - so fun to see all the work you guys are doing. Now I don't have to buy my own boat and sail it - I can get all the job satisfaction from watching you guys do it. :) Also neat to hear a different voice this time around - nice Job Frida!
+Jay Vaughan Thanks so much Jay, Frida and max certainly did an awesome job right? Fair Winds- Brian
Delos is a true beauty....
Rewatching a year later, *the arrival of Frida and Manskraft!*
And the first major Delos maintenance job of that season.
Well guys, your new crew could not have been broken in any better than this, after this everything else will seem, well perfect. If they can last through this you could not have picked a better pair. good luck and happy sailing guys.
+Brad Hayman Yea, well said. What a couple of hard workers right off the plane :)
This season has 47 episodes?!? Excellent

Awesome job on the music Max!!
Good videos. Amel is definitely one way to voyage. I’ve been on them. Not fun-responsive to sail but definitely safe and dependable with redundant systems and many creature comforts.
