In 5 minutes you told me that; Crude Oil is made of dead plants and/or organisms buried in mud for millions of years with high pressure and heat and Fractional Distillation is the process of separating the different hydrocarbons within via allowing them to pass through as a gas and condense where its cooler than their boiling point. Can you tell me what the fractionating column is made up of? Because I watched your other video called "simple distillation and fractional distillation" and now I'm watching this one so now I'm confused because the drawing are different and fractional column is different.
any metal with a melting point of more than the boiling point of the fractionates. check out this equation of this mate: C169723H270464N45688O52243S912. this is a complex protein molecule. can u tell me what would happen if we heat a protein molecule at its boiling point. will it become any simpler?

Thank you soooooo much for this video, it helped me out TONS however just one tiny thing, it was a bit confusing when referring to alkanes as hydrocarbons since theres 2 types of hydrocarbons that I know of (not too sure if theres any more lmao) alkanes and alkenes i had to search up the difference between hydrocarbon and alkane XD thanks for the video nonetheless, but ive got something confused plz lmk, thanks!
i think that alkanes are the most common type of hydrocarbons alkenes are different as they have at least one double bond whereas alkanes are hydrocarbons with ONLY single bonds
