Chris I am headed to Southern Italy for the winter trying to narrow down an area. I am going to email you. I was moving to Portugal but things there have changed. So I am back looking at Italy. Thanx for all of your information. Ta. Thanx Gina in Upstate New York USA moving SOMEwhere at the end of 2024. Cheers. Oh I am looking for about 3 acres with fruit forest, ruin so I can build a very small home. I have specifics but won't list it here.
A very timely video as I'm on Idealista frequently and am taking your course. A lot of the condos in Scalea appear to be ugly concrete monoliths with shabby exterior surfaces; sort of reminiscent of low end condos past their prime in the U.S; similar to older leasehold units in Honolulu or Florida beach cities. Maybe the weather and HOA plays a part but why own something with a depressing facade? Thanks for posting!
So true although Scalea has recently been giving our grants for owners to give their buildings face lifts. This is also why it is so important to really look over a building and the neighborhood to ensure that the HOA fees are really going to upkeep. Part of it is the weather too.

Great advice. Helps a seller and a potential buyer.
Thank you Bonnie!
