Ive said it before and I'll say it again, I love these 'whats in the bag' videos, really entertaining and its cool to know what the pros are playing with. Especially when it comes down to shaft diameter and tip preference.
Quite possibly my favorite active player. Awesome pool shark with humility that reminds me of Efren, the Magician! I hope he has many championships in his future.
I like the revival of what’s in the case. I loved watching the ones they used to do. I like how you actually get into the small/important details like cue length and tip size etc.
Yo man that is super sweet that he carries around a pen just in case he needs to sign stuff for people. That should be the fan’s job really. What a legend. New respect for Skyler after seein that. Liked him anyway but legend.
Thanks for revealing the secrets of these world class players. Cheers! more to come! Please ask them if their expensive cue stick matters to them because in the early 1980's, Efren Reyes plays a $20 cue stick and somehow was able to beat the top class players in that time. I love to see them play shots (Draw shots, follow through, ect.) with an expensive cue and a very cheap cue and see the difference, maybe challenge them. Just a suggestion! Thanks!
I have almost the same cue as Skyler. The only difference is the design, and the inlays. My cue is a BMC Pro Series 5, with 28 mother of pearl diamonds on it, hand signed and made by Bob Meucci. It is a 19 oz. with no weights, and the 12.5mm low deflection pro shaft, with a medium hard layered untraskin tip, I also have the UW 11.7mm shaft, the cue cost $1000 about 4 years ago, and the UW shaft was $240. I am a 7 handicap in APA 8 ball, and a 10 handicap in ACS 8 ball, I have been playing pool for 35 years and I am a 10 time MVP in 3 different pool leagues. In fact, I just won another MVP for the summer session of 2021 in the ACS 8 ball pool leagues. I have also won over 300 pool tournaments. I have owned about 7 different cues and the BMC Pro Series 5 cue I have now is the best cue I ever owned. The feel and the hit and the balance is perfect to me, and I will never play with another cue. If you want the same cue without all the mother pearl for a cheaper price, you can get the same cue for $650, it's the BMC Pro Series 3. It is also hand made by Bob Meucci and he signed it. I have both, sometimes I play with the Pro Series 3, and sometimes I get the Pro Series 5 out and use it when I want to show off all the mother of pearl. They both play exactly the same, the only difference is one has all the fancy mother of pearl inlays, and the other one does not. If it's good enough for Sky Woodward, it's good enough for me.
Love everything about those videos. Can you also ask the players how they practice for tournaments? Are they doing practice drills, run racks or just playing matches
Nice job fellas. That's actually less than I thought it would be for the Meucci cue. I'm going to check that out. Love these videos Karl. Keep em coming if possible. Subscribed, liked and commented every time brother!
For all enjoying these also check out 'Samm's on the case' videos. She interviewed a lot of players in this same format although that was some time ago. Still interesting to see how things have changed in the last decade.
Would like to know the weights of their playing cues. Assume around 18 oz but would still be interested to find out. Love these videos, keep em coming. Thanks
Can't believe he shoots with a techno dud. I got one of those onto one of my cues about 2 years ago, and it's like hitting with a dead sponge. Insane how he can shoot so well with that thing. One of my favorite players though. Cheers!
I don't know how the pros would feel about this question, but maybe at the end you could ask them the total value of 'what's in the bag', including the bag itself. Makes it fun especially if you can't afford those nice stuffs
I have to say between Skylar and Albin I'm super impressed they don't shoot with 3k$+ cues. Makes me feel even better about just choosing a great cue not based so much on price tag! Really love the shirt 😂!
Thanks again for this Whats in the bag videos glad you asked the tip size and brand. Please add tip hardness and weight of playing cue. If they can add why dither choose that tip,tip size and weight that would be awesome! Thanks again and more power to your channel!
great video and great series, I'm really interested to know the size of tip that pro use so that's a nice detail. really nice job Karl keep it up. watching your content all the way from Saudi Arabia.
Hi Karl, really cool format, interesting and entertaining. You should get the players to give a signed prize from the players or their sponsors. Could be just submitting comments or answering a question set by the player in order to win! Cheers 🍻
Well now I know why I can't find a Molinari glove anywhere lol. Skyler has them all! But seriously I've been trying to buy a replacement and they've been out of stock in my size for months now. Finally said screw it I'll switch back to Kamui... Nope out of stock. Next time I can find them in stock I'll just have to go Skyler style and buy 10 of them so I'm good for a few years.
@@KarlBoyesPoolLife dammit Karl! Hahaha the man is now with Predator cues 😅 now the 'Mystic' SouthWest $20.000.000.000 cue that takes 35 years to make will be forever forgotten. I don't see any other top player with that company.
I'm an American just a normal guy Karl I am so disappointed you quit playing pro , you and dynamite Darren where my 2 favorite European players would love to see you return to the game .
I love this thank you for this if you could just ask them what type of tip they have on their shooting cues that would be awesome i heard him say the one for the break cue thank you again 💯💯🙏🙏
Keep up with the amazing content Karl! Also would like too hear maybe asking the cue joint pin size. I’ve been shooting with the 3/8x14 and i really miss the feel of Radial or 3/8x10. Look forward to more great videos budd!
These "What's in the Bag" vids are great. Nice to see Skyler using a simple Meucci cue with a pro shaft. Same cue I've been using since about 1990. Busch beer? Christ man, doesn't get any more American piss water than that. Coors Light man myself. 🍺
@@KarlBoyesPoolLife nice! Pool players do alright for themselves I guess💪🏻😂 jk, thanks for the reply, I hope you get well asap and get back to the table!
My favorite one so far! Love the dry humor and banter between you too. Sky is a good dude. Super humble lol. And that shirt. 😂
Thanks man agree he god kid
Skyler is so chill. Great video! And come on, Busch, sponsor this dude!

Thanks for this content Karl .. and thanks for the share Skyler .. beautiful cue
I'm a huge fan Karl.
Ask the question: Why you prefer a wood shaft over a carbon fiber shaft?...
Also like getting the insider info on equipment details; cue specs, tip size and preference... Good stuff!
Yes and would be nice to hear why they use certain tips i mean they always have reason why they have something and what are the benefits using them
Yo man that is super sweet that he carries around a pen just in case he needs to sign stuff for people. That should be the fan’s job really. What a legend. New respect for Skyler after seein that. Liked him anyway but legend.
Love these videos Karl it’s nice to see all these pros in a more casual tone. Keep up the good content and thank you!!!!!
Down to earth dude. Like watching him play 🇺🇸
My 2 favorite players in one video! Fricken great.

Looked like he had Masters, Kamui (in bag) and a piece of Grey Taom chalk? Thanks for the great "Whats in the bag" video!
You are on the right track with these "in the bag" videos. Please keep up the good work!
Thanks John
That's a lot of gloves!! 😂😂😂 Great video, again! Thank you!

Great work, Karl. I always enjoy watching you play and hearing you commentate on matches. You seem like cool down to earth guy!

Dont forget tip shape. I'm interested to see what percentage of pros play with a nickle tip vs a dime. Thanks Kar.

Trying 😎😎
You need to do an updated "What's in the bag." with Skylar now that he's with Cuetec. Keep the great vids coming Karl, cheers.
I will do
Cue tec avid with cuetecs new surge line of break cues I'm sure not much else has changed maybe a cuetec case
Going to need another one after the cuetec change ;)
Preferred type of cue tip (soft, medium, hard)?
Love everything about those videos. Can you also ask the players how they practice for tournaments? Are they doing practice drills, run racks or just playing matches

Thanks Luke appreciate it
Great stuff Karl! Love Skyler's fearless play. Maybe a future question... I'd like to know what cue weights the pros are using. Thanks!
Sorry, just saw it at the end... 18oz. What weight do most pros use on the break cue?
So happy this is a thing again!

That shirt had me rolling 😂 Best shirt ever that represents the USA
Great video. Love these series. When traveling how do pros secure their equipment?
Kentucky boy. And a great person and player.

Great job thanks again for your time
Thanks Jack
Good job!
Heading out to get a 6 pack of Busch.
Cheers!
Only other thing I would ask is maybe what kind of chalk they are using.
Keep it going Karl. Love to see it!

My only question is what are their thoughts on maple vs CF shafts?
I am also curious what players have to say about this comparison
