How wonderful to be able to walk out your door, forage for wild blueberries in the forest and eat them for breakfast. It doesn't get more beautiful or more Swedish does it!
You always make me smile. My son just brought in a bowl of raspberries from the yard for my breakfast as rain is predicted in the morning and he was full from eating them. Thousands of miles apart, the joys are the same. May you feel as good as blueberries taste.
What we call "blåbär" in swedish(directly translates to "blueberry") is actually what you call bilberry in english. We don't really have what you call blueberries in english. The English "blueberries" are actually from North America and were only introduced to Europe in the 1930s.
Oh Maria what fun being able to go out right into the forest. To pick wild blueberries for your breakfast. And to see all of the beauty of the trees and flowers all around. Makes me wish I could join you on your walk gathering blueberries. I know your breakfast was so enjoyable .
My visit in Sweden is coming to an end. Flying home the 31st. I will miss my ancestral homeland. It’s been such an adventure for this 70ty year old lady. I picked some blueberries too! Yummy! Puss & Kram to you sweet lady !
Ahhh Maria I never been so happy knowing that u have posted new vlog. I feel inspired everytime I watch your vlogs. I can't to visit Sweden next year! 🇸🇪💚 To finally experience my own the magic of nature and forest you were living there. Thank you for giving me the source of inspirations in life. How to never let go your dreams and listening to your own guts! I'll do the same! 💪 Tack så mycket! Puss & Kramm💓
A lovely relaxing morning! And those blueberries looked so yummy and fresh... If we want to pick blueberries we have to go to an organic farm but still tons of fun. We have made some fun memories picking berries and we always look forward to it. Hope you had a a lovely weekend! ~Amy
What a treat for my Sunday late lunch afternoon...after so many busy weeks (and the ones ahead), I’m focusing on drafting a decompression plan to lower stress levels and your videos will be part of it, thank you 🙏❤️😘
Beautiful. Love your videos and blueberries and that forest is so pretty. I especially like the ferns and your a naturally beautiful Swedish woman. Blessings!
I hope you find comfort in your old videos during this grand transition in your life. I know we often times get shamed for looking behind us in troubled times as were to only look forward. But in our past is also the reminder of who were are, as a reminder in times of searching for a new - lost in the moment. ❤️
Your blueberries are so different from ours! Our bushes grow up to twelve feet tall and the berries can be as big as your thumb! No stains either. So cool to see the differences. 💙💙💙
Ohhh dear Sweden!I used to go in the woods everyday for blueberry and mushrooms. I love Sweden more than even my country. I had such a lovely time there for 7 years living in Stockholm. Unfortunately I had to move to UK. Am very disappointed and depressed since I left Sweden. Every single day am thinking haw and when I will go back there.Puss&kram!
The blueberries there in Sweden are such a pretty color! I was recently in the state of Michigan where they grow quite well. I brought them home and made blueberry-lemon jam!
A rainy summer..much blueberries..a dry summer..almost none and very tiny blueberries, with no taste.so the more rain, the bigger they get :-) you can buy them expensive in the stores ,or as on this video, pick them for free.
The best ice cream I ever had was a blueberry ice cream I bought close to the "Vasa musset" in Stockholm, in 2004. Still remember that trip like if it was taken yesterday!
Lovely video, as always. Watching them is a joy. I assumed when you said you were picking wild blueberries you would be harvesting some huckleberries but not so. The ones you got are closer to the size of blueberries. Huckleberries are smaller. When I was growing up, my family would pick huckleberries to make jam. My dad and grandma knew where they grew. I haven't picked any since I graduated from high school and went away to college. I miss those pleasant family times and walking in the woods.
Hi.. I got been intoduce to your channel from another sweddish Vlogger... I really enjoy watching your Vlog.. I love that you guys been surounding by the beautiful magical nature... i’ll planning to go to sweden in 2 years in order to safe some money to travel to europe.. since my country currency isn’t big as Eu.. I’ll make an afford to see your nature and touch, feels and smells it on my own... happy to see you enjoy the nature...😊
I love them too, thank you for the beautiful video. This summer I was too sick to pick them, but my time will come again. I dicovered a place very close to my home where wild blueberries grow in abundance. Nature ist wonderful and has so many gifts for us. Enjoy them! Love from Germany!
I am so happy you liked the video! And yes, your time will come too, that was the case for me last year so I do understand! Sending love and healing thoughts back to you
Ahh, TH-cam recommended this at the perfect time because we actually want to go blueberry picking TOMORROW MORNING! :D Hope we'll find some.. it's already a bit late here for wild blueberries in Austria. That's a useful tip with looking closer and underneath the leaves, will try that :) Thanks for the beautifully made video 🤍
Wow I’m sooooo jealous, in a good way, blueberries are my favourite, i eat them everyday for breakfast, I would Love to go and pick them first thing ☺️ so beautiful 🥰
Our blue berry bushes grew to 1.5M tall and before the droughts killed the last bush we picked 5 Kg of berries. Right beside the blue berries we grew a mango tree lol. It always surprised our friends. Puss and Kram from Australia.
Woke up with some calming prayer to the Lord. Feeling so blessed to have your videos, you are such a beautiful individual, and your videos have helped me to go through a very taught time in my life. Everything is better now! And have a nice day~ Love from California 🌈💕
all things green thank you so much! I get really inspired and full of hope in life by people like you. What you are contributing to the world its truly admirable. And I hope when I visit Sweden next I can see you. May you a joyful day :)
At 2:35 that thick carpet of moss covering the rocks and ground looks awesome. It's got to feel awesome to sit down or lay down on it. Is there poison ivy in Swedish forests?
You are very lucky lady!! We have wild blueberry here in northern Maine but are very hard to find.. was during a previous lifetime from which I have very fond memories.. wild blueberry In Ur backyard is amazing!! Love ur little doggies! I'm wondering now. . Are you over in Sweden having fall like we are here in northern Maine?
Haha your other little doggie ate some blueberries this time. I remember on another video he didn't want them. The berries look so plump and yummy. Near Berlin our blueberries are a bit sad 😅
Do you only make coffee outdoors over an open fire when it's the dead of winter? ;D Beautiful light and forest and yummy-looking breakfast! Love it that your pups like blueberries.
WhiteTiger333 no no, I make outdoor coffee over open fire all year round except during summer when it’s most often too dry and you’re not allowed to start an open fire. But I make outdoor coffee in autumn, winter and spring too (I think there are a few older videos showing that too ☺️) And yes, the pups love blueberries, especially Doris the left one. ☺️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
@@NorthernHeart Ah - I was kidding, but now I know why you did not make an outdoor fire in this video. Yes, dry conditions outdoors with burn bans. I didn't think about that.
No, I have never meet a bear. It's very rare to meet a bear they most often hear you loooong before you're even close to them. I always sing or have a bell that makes noise on me when I am in the forest. :)
I loved this comment ❤️someone I recently like has now the nickname of “bear” so reading this brought a smile to my face ✨✨✨I just popped in to say this 😍
I must admit, when I saw your story on Instagram, I thought the video was "Pickling Wild Blueberries" and I gagged just a little. Only when this video ended without the addition of vinegar did I realize that I'd misread the title! Oh dear :)
You usually don't plant wild blueberries, they grow best in the forrest. If you want to plant your own there are what I call the American type of blueberries that you can grow on your own. Also, where I am at is like a minute or two from where my house is so, no need to plant anything when they grow so close :)
Hope you're having a wonderful Sunday guys! Puss & Kram to each and everyone of you
Northern Heart
My sweet Lady, I love your beautiful life!
My question is are you using a camera for your precious videos or a phone then edit?
Wt wonderful nature you have
How wonderful to be able to walk out your door, forage for wild blueberries in the forest and eat them for breakfast. It doesn't get more beautiful or more Swedish does it!
Those blueberries would be perfect with your Swedish pancakes.😀 ❤ 👍
Beautiful and lush forest. How wonderful to have such an abundance right behind you. Have a good Sunday
It really is, I love that the temperatures were more normal this summer, makes everything so green! Wish you the same!
You always make me smile. My son just brought in a bowl of raspberries from the yard for my breakfast as rain is predicted in the morning and he was full from eating them. Thousands of miles apart, the joys are the same. May you feel as good as blueberries taste.
Dear Maria ❤️....another lovely video ❤️🌼
We have a similar type of berries here in England called bilberries that grow wild on the moorland and they’re delicious.
What we call "blåbär" in swedish(directly translates to "blueberry") is actually what you call bilberry in english. We don't really have what you call blueberries in english.
The English "blueberries" are actually from North America and were only introduced to Europe in the 1930s.

To pick wild blueberries for your breakfast. And to see all of the beauty of the trees and flowers all around. Makes me wish I could join you on your walk gathering blueberries. I know your breakfast was so enjoyable .

mums !!! inspirerande frukost, Jag bor på ett helt fel ställe ;) ♥
Seems like the bears always get to all the wild berries first around here in the mountains of Colorado!
I love wild blueberries. I have them almost every day in smoothies with grass-milk, maca powder, cocoa powder & cinnamon.

Ha! Brave woman, wearing white shirt picking blueberries. You are much neater than I am !!
Wow
Do you ever meet a bear in your blueberry bush? Looks SO good and nice to see you!

Thank you so much Mona! And oh yum, I have actually never picked blackberries. Maybe some day! :)
You look so beautiful. Just like the forest.❤
That looks like fun. What was the white stuff you had them in with the almonds? Didn’t look like milk.

The simple things are the best, what a beautiful place you live, may I ask you wich part of Sweden is it?
