I recorded this album in their living room. Most were single takes. I took the picture on the album cover. Somewhere I have a blooper tape of all the funnies that happened during the recording. I'll try to find it. Oh, my last name is Choy not Chay. I was their business manager and Homer ran things. Somewhere I still have about two dozen never before released songs I'd like to publish. When Lori the bass player left the group for awhile I filled in playing bass when they went out singing. I still don't know how we made it traveling all over PA and VA in my Ford Country Squire station wagon. Those were the good old days.
It is a pleasure to hear from you Mr. Choy! I would love to help you publish those unreleased Forbes family tracks. Ever since I posted my first Forbes family record, I've gotten to hear from so many nice folks who knew the family or relatives and even Tereasa Forbes (Jay's wife) reached out to me after she found a posted record and she arranged to have one of my album jackets signed by Jay & Lisa. Reach out anytime Mr. Choy! By the way, I corrected your name in album credits on my posting. Thanks!
@@sandsfamilymusic3861 As soon as my summer job eases up I'll dig around for a few goodies. I have one song they did called "The In Crowd" made famous by the Country Gentlemen. I remixed it and it sounds great. I still have all the multitrack recordings so I can remix most of the songs. Will let you know. I really haven't had much contact with the family for over 30 years. They all lived at my house for about 6 months before relocating to Granite City, Mt Airy, NC. By the way, they actually released an album previous to mine and recorded it at Tri City Records in TN. I think I have the only vinyl copy left. I could Convert it to digital and give it to you along with a copy of the album cover. Just need to somehow contact you off youtube.
