A couple of guys tried to push me out of my spot at Avery too. They moved in standing less than 6 feet from me. I just started coughing and told them I was getting over the Coronavirus and I thought the fresh sea air would be good for me. I was amazed at how fast they climbed up the rocks to get away from me. Works everytime. 😄 Thats a true story. Keep up the good vids.
Hello everyone . I did my open water dive cert right in that same spot back in 89/90 . There is a huge rock about 75 yrds out in about 15ft of water.i was exploring it , when all of a sudden i saw a huge silver & white shape in the water right in front of me !!! First thought ,a big White shark !!! It was a school of about 30 or more giant Stripper s !!! I'll never forget that. You really want to have fun ? Get in the water with a speargun , nothing like it
I subbed ..saw your comments from gladiator fishing..I fished porgies in NY with sand and blood worms..that like East coast Atlantic thing..On the Sky way they call them pin fish and they eat shrimp and cut bait.. They're not that big from shore .but there's not size or limit on them..
Well technically I didn’t get bullied I chose to move. I could have been a bigger bully and just start casting over their lines. But like I said plenty of water, decided to just move.
Hi again Jay, 2 part question, is those flat rocks you were on to the left or right of the small jetty? And I will be jigging on bottom for fluke, is it sandy or rocky? Ty for getting back to me. Gary
Yes they have some flat rocks you can stand on and It’s a sandy bottom, but a better spot for jigging for fluke is at Cini Park River Rd Niantic. Use this address to find it: 16 Main St Niantic. It’s about 15 minutes from Jordan Cove. You can try both spots to see which one you like best. Tight lines my friend
@@fishingwithjaybaez I have been to Cinci and it was no good there. You forgot to tell me if the flat rocks are near the jetty? And thanks for all this information.
Brother how you know when is a female fish or male fish 🤔 You say she's going back in or he's definitely a keeper Just wondering 😬 Love you lots baby bro 😂😘 Great video 🥰
Hello Jackson. This is Avery Point UConn Campus. I have the address in the description but if you google Avery point Groton it should show up. Thanks for watching
I totally agree. I started making videos not knowing much about fishing and learning as I go. After watching other fishing videos and seeing how they dispatch the fish as humane as possible, I started doing the same. My future videos will show this and please feel free to continue to give me tips as I’m learning every day.
Your not supposed to throw the fish that puts them in shock the small fish you caught in the beginning is a tatoug or black fish please put fish back in water gently.

Yeah nice relaxing time. Porgies are just a bonus
Heck yeah. Nice porgys, and the clams worked 🤘
I knew they would but wanted to get it on video

Is that the Millstone nuclear power plant in the background ?
Very nice Chanel my friend
Thank you and thanks for watching
Sand worms are great. Sucks about getting bullied out of your spot. But, that didn't stop you from catching. 👍

It’s not that serious guys. I chose to move rather than to start anything
Great contents and subscribed.
Question: Where did you park, inside or off campus parking?
Thanks. They have pay to park there for the public. Download the app and pay directly on your phone.
Noted. Thank you.
Hi Jay, Can you tell me that spot you was at after leaving avery pt, it was in waterford with a small rock jetty, and are there any fluke there?
Hi Gary. That’s Jordan Cove (Pleasure Beach)
44 New Shore Rd Waterford CT and yes they have fluke
@@fishingwithjaybaez can I fish any part of the beach area? On shore, or there is too many swimmers?
There are no swimmers at Jordan Cove. The beach is a private area so we cannot fish the beach.
Nice fishing. What size and type of hooks were you using? I've been having decent luck with size 2 circles
I was just using a porgy set up that I bought at the tackle shop. They are not circle hooks. But yes size 2 is perfect
@@fishingwithjaybaez Thanks for letting me know. I need to give other hook types a try

They have flat rocks at the jetti but you have to climb over other rocks to get to them.
So you cannot walk to a flat area without climbing some rocks
@@fishingwithjaybaez hi, I asked how far is the flat rocks you guys were standing on? was it pretty close to the jetty?
Nice catch and this is very cool video, SUBBED, wish to watch you more and often!!!
Thanks for the sub. Glad you enjoyed it…
Hey Jay nice video what’s the address for the spot that you’re fishing at in Groton
1084 shennecossett rd groton UConn campus. It’s in the description also
@@fishingwithjaybaez thank you
I don't love to far. Maybe one day soon I'll meet you and Not steal your spot!
Second fish was a baby Connor
Never heard of a Connor here in CT. Ok cool thanks
@@fishingwithjaybaezit’s actually cunner
I googled it after the message and noticed cunner fish. I still never heard of it so I learned something new. Thanks

Which spot is this in Groton?

Why you don’t make it your rig, with monofilament line, much better, less visible and more naturally looking.
I’ll have to do that thanks for the tip
Gotta be careful handling Porgys. Those dorsal fins and gill plates will leave your hand cut up for days.
Oh yeah been there. Trying to scale them is not fun either.
Why don’t you kill the fish mercifully rather than have them suffocate in empty cooler? Or keeping them in water if you want them fresher to eat?
