I know inflation and wage hikes have something to do with it but I’d have to bring hudreds of dollars or have it on my credit cards or take out a loan to eat at some of these places. You pay for celebrity chefs and ambiance and finding an inexpensive place with good food seems to be diificult from the videos I’ve watched. Old Vegas spoiled me with cheap prices everywhere.
It was very nice to have the pork shank and pork belly with burnt ends added as a wonderful kindness in giving to eat not seen these days. The food looked wonderful. The Bar B Que is my favorite because it was prepared like we do in NC. Ribs also and the sides looked great. I enjoyed the walk around of being shown the back stage that lays out the meat that is cooked.
Didn’t realize there was going to be a Mabel’s location in the new version of the Palms. We always stay just down the street at the Flamingo. So, this is going on the list of places to try on our next visit.
When I saw how tender that brisket was I knew it would be good. My first job at 16 was in a grocery store store "National Food Stores" owned by a company called "Loblaw" out of Canada. You could buy a whole brisket for 99 cents a pound everyday price. Of course a whole rib eye rack would go on sale for $1.99 a pound. As far as the corn bread I always sliced up some hilshire farm hot sausage then cut each slice into fours. I brown it in a frying pan then add it to my corn bread mix. I also add a can of cream corn, then shred cheese from the block (what-ever cheese you like) add that along with milk, eggs, and butter. I then sprinkle the top with sugar after putting it all in a greased baking dish. Bake until toothpick comes out clean when checking doneness. Now that is a corn bread kicked up to the next level. Those BBQ sauces I would experiment with combining them just to see what I get as far as new flavors. That's just me. With all that being said the best part of the video was seeing behind the scenes as to what goes on with the process. I truly enjoyed that. Great Job!

Wow. Mabel's was here in Downtown Cleveland but because of the pandemic Michael had to close it. I am so glad he picked the Palms to put Mabel's in. That pulled pork looked so good. Thanks for doing this, memories for sure

Have you ever tried Ricks Rollin Smoke BBQ. It is at the Gold & Silver pawn shop. Really good. Several other locations too. They have an all you can eat option too, perfect for All You Can Vegas!

Looks so much better than the Palms buffet. I went there on a weekday and was so disappointed. All my food was cold and the rest was gross. Maybe I'll go check out this BBQ though. Thanks!
i ate there 3-4 years agowe had one of those coupon books that vistors buy because my great cousin was here and gave it to my aunt after she left. also it was happy hour so there was a bunch of things that were half off so we got 2 different meats and then chicken wings plus mac and cheese. it was pretty good bbq but i doubt its the best in vegas. there is that smoked pig place(dont remember the exact name) and ive heard that is easily the best place in vegas

We were just in Vegas and we ate at Mabel’s BBQ. We had the ribs and they were some of the best ribs we’ve ever had. They literally fell off the bone. Glad you did a video on Mabel’s.
Down side of living in a small NW town. We have no eye rolling good food restaurants. We do have incredible restrictions on food trucks .... just to add to the misery.

I was there a few years ago. At the time they had a large beef rib. Expensive but tasty - quite the highly seasoned bark on that Dino piece of beef.
