The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the New York Knicks in overtime, 115-112. Ja Morant led the way for the Grizzlies with 34 points, 4 rebounds, and 9 assists, while Desmond Bane added 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 6 assists in the victory. Julius Randle tallied 24 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists for the Knicks, while Jalen Brunson added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Cam Reddish was really impressive this game. Overall the Knicks looked good despite the loss. Their ball movement was great, I see a playoff potential but they need an established 1st option be it Reddish, RJ, Randle or even Brunson who can execute the game at the end.
Would you look at that.... Reddish, RJ, Randle, Rose..... All the Knicks need to do now is sign Rajon Rondo and Ricky Rubio and they'll have an All-R team 🤣

Gonna give some respect to the knicks. They put in effort that kept them in the game. And they need to give Reddish some more minutes. He played great tonight. They wouldn't have been in this game without him.
That offensive foul play by ja was so impressive even if it was an offensive foul the way he jumped to dunk got hit by the guy under him and while falling down was able to reach around the basket and make the layup was absolutely insane

I'm loving what I'm seeing from Santi Aldama and Jake Laravia. Aldama is a bit more self explanatory but I love the hustle on defense from Laravia. I'm really excited to see this team fully healthy. Also, Ja looked pretty good defensively tonight and I'm not just talking about his block. You could tell that he put effort into his defense.
Refs are getting re-acclimated as well so I guess we can't be too mad with this loss. Love that we were able to give a contender so much of a fight with what little chemistry we have at this point. Definitely some areas of improvement but good first game for sure. We shall win the next one.

Knicks need to close out on those 3pt shooters a bit better but they played great defense as a unit. Ja is just a defense slayer. We need to let JB and the rest to gel a bit more before we become a playoff team

The offense was LOPSIDED!
Obi and Quick aren't going to score only 2 points over a combined 30 minutes all the time. We could also look at RJ who put up only 11 in 38 minutes. If any one of these three puts up an extra 4 more points? We win this game!
Opening game jitters? I think they just faced an equally good team and it could've went either way.
Once this offense straightens out? WE CAN HANG WITH ANYONE! This was a good test. Brunson is just what we needed.
