I searched for this video thinking 'how do I paint repair my scratched up dryer?'. And after watching this video, I thought to myself, 'well, you're just painting a piece of metal, why on earth did I feel the need to watch a youtube video about this?' Haha. But I guess I just wanted to make sure I there weren't specific things that you do when painting an appliance surface vs just any other peice of metal. Thank you for the video.
Hey! If you see this, how did the fridge turn out. I live in a town house and the fridge is soooo ugly due to pats tenants but I would love to update it- I also don’t want to ruin the fridge since I do not own it. Thanks, hope you get this(:
Got my washer top of easily. Sanded and wiped with alcohol. Had some bubbles and stuff blowing on it in the garage evidently. I decided to let it dry, sand again wipe again and spray again. Guess I’m not a pro. You make it look so easy. Appreciate your video.
I know it’s been a year but I just came across your video. It was the exact same washer/dryer combo I have and I got rust in about the same spot. Lol. Thank you so much for the video!! New subscriber also
Good job, I done these a lot refinishing appliances. Only caution is don't paint washer tops and lids. They are porcelain coated and repaired only by porcelain touch up paint. Other paint will eventuality peel off. Painting side panels of washers are okay.
I have similar problem, however a small chunk on the bottom lip has rusted off. Any advise? I'm thinking of using bondo filler used on car panel? Thanks
@@SimpleDIYMedia Thank you my friend - Is the epoxy enamel or primer? Asking as we don't have this product in Australia so I'll have to find another water resistant alternative, thank you.
Mechanical washer machines are by far more superior than the newer models , however the newer models look like an automobile. The older washer machines will last a lifetime, the newer ones, 5-10 years, if that’s even important to some buyers.
Great presentation! Thank you. I'm literally about to paint my dryer. This gives me a confidence boost.
I was looking for this exact process. Thank you so much!!!
Wow beautiful eyes.

Video was great! Watched it because I have to refinish my refrigerator in a different color. This video should be helpful.

I need to paint inside the dryer so rust there can I use this one also?
That looks very good :)
Thank you!
Thanks brother.
Hello SimpleDIY, can I have an update on how long did the paint last until it started to peel?
Does this paint stick to the inside of a washer tub?
I did it. I did it in my basement, so I lost a few braincells.
Can I paint automatic washing machine.its paint is peeled off due to tape.
It does not need a primer?
This paint does not need primer.
I have similar problem, however a small chunk on the bottom lip has rusted off.

Yes I think your best option is bondo filler and sanding. Follow by the spray paint. That should take care of it.

@@modzz8319 This is an epoxy paint finish. It's not a primer. If you don't have it in Australia, you can also use an enamel spray paint.
How many cans for just the top of that dryer?
One can was enough for the job I did.
How do I take it off and reapply if I do not like the way it looks
Why this happened
It just did, alright?? It just did.
Why in the world would you paint it white. With all the beautiful colors out there. Purple! Love the video. Thank you
Maybe he wanted it white, why would he want it purple?
What are you a hippie?
Why do American washing machines look like they are still manufactured in the 60s? European ones look so much more futuristic.
