@@shmee123ful I mean I could definitely see the ecclesiarchy owning or leasing ships from the navy it’s a similar thing to the admech or whatever they may have a few traditional legacy ships but their also perfectly able to rent out or borrow multiple navy ships as well. For sure makes sense
So what I'm hearing is the M2 Browning is still on the menu? Splendid. I've been rolling an idea about a penitent crusade marine chapter that has ass for technical support and just takes and glues on whatever they can find, from guns to prometheum generators to run their power armor
@@kopykat9993 that’s legit something that chaos warbands would do all the time. The cheap and the available are the go to for most Csm warbands that aren’t too far gone or part of a reformed legion. Don’t have bolter? Use M2. No nuclear reactor? Hook up a hellgun backpack. It’s a great idea to play around with and yeah I would call the M2 either a medium or lower end of heavy stubber.
Does the imperium really have laws against firearms. I have never heard of anything like it besides from a few instances of planetary governors acting out on their own paranoia. Also if you haven't seen the new astartes 2 trailer, it is awesome.
@@guntuna348 100% yes. For example penal worlds and planets with bad crime problems will either illegal use or disincentivize gun ownership. There are many many reasons for this. For example the fact that so many cults and gangs on occasion, are so wealthy yet so poorly armed. It shows that private weapon ownership is not as prevalent or easy as it might be else they would all own those weapons. Secondly the fact that many pdf troops use simpler weapons like bolt actions or semi auto rifles further confirms this. The pdf represent and ultimate advantage of the state on the use of violence and they certainly would be a lot worse at their job if everyone else in society was armed exactly as they were. That also is implied by the fact that PDFs rarely get lasguns which would be a significant upgrade to their wargear while also being relatively common as a small arm in production terms. Essentially they opt for other weapons because they are secure in the mindset that an enemy force (90% of the time they fight their own population in uprisings gangs or cults) won’t be able to arm themselves the same way. So in short there are local laws prohibiting gun ownership on some worlds but theirs also laws that go against those same laws on others. Wether it’s the overall dictate of the imperium or not is kind of irrelevant because as mentioned in the video if a local world has a good case that their law is what’s best for their tithe the Administratum will issue them a fine and look the other way. There is also the issue of like very low level ownership. Who cares for example if grandma who lives in the underhive buys a derringer to protect herself cause she lives in a bad neighborhood? What is more litigated is when a popular preacher (definitely not a chaos demagogue) orders a few thousand rifles off Administratum Craigslist and comes with his followers to the spaceport to pick up his small armies worth of weapons. That’s where both the locals and the Administratum narrow their eyes and dig a bit deeper.
G3/MP5 gang lol its a shame roller blowback is falling out of fashion... omg the idea of 9mm and .45acp still knocking around after like 2million world wars and 8mm mauser making a comeback in select-fire platforms is kinda funny, i guess it's not implausible that such ancient calibres might still exist, but there would be so many thousands of newer calibres and stuff like caseless ammo... gotta say i like the fact that smoothbore muskets are still kicking around alongside lasguns, the principles of chemical propulsion and the recipe for black powder is so simple it's never going anywhere, hell rebels were using them for in Myanmar until they acquired better stuff... also that revolver looks like it was made for an Astartes i cant see how a baseline human could even aim that thing let alone fire it lol... anyways thank you for the reading recommendation, will keep my eyes peeled for any copies of the Gaunt's Ghosts novels!
@@trippyulyanov2012 I always endorse the gaunts ghosts series because I has the blood pact in it. Also yeah that revolver is definitely like meant to be used with a foregrip lol. I’m glad you enjoyed and hope you enjoy the next few as well.
Strongest character in DBZ as well as Warhammer 40K - Farmer with a shotgun.
