- Come with us as we finish last weeks dresser with a transfer from IOD and we also found a new dresser at the thrift store and we painted that dresser and added another transfer. We had a little hiccup with the second transfer but in the end I love how it turned out.

Jamie you are so lucky to have someone like Zeb to do your bidding. ..like bear hugging the furniture to move it. I struggle on my own. You still talk in the singular though I notice and Zeb is still very much the team player and always says we. Love the new transfers.
We are one. So if I say I it’s the same as we because there is nothing that is mine that is not his angle vice versa. And nothing that we won’t do for each other. It’s a really great balance.
Well that's a good point when you have a big transfer like that cutting it in two pieces makes a lot of sense

There is a learning curve but I’m the summer months I love spraying. We’re about to spray a bunch of thrift haul items.

Jami, my Dad was a contractor and I find his “math calculations “ on things throughout this house! I can’t cover it up either..🥰 😢🥰 He also had a green thumbs with amazing vegetables and flower gardens ( which I did not inherit…boo! ) and I can’t throw out his writings for planting times, etc! It has been over 20 years..I was young like you to when I lost my Dad. How I miss my parents! Cherish that Mom of yours every day ( I know you do💕)

I do the same thing! I am always working on projects so my customers can see how I create the pieces and it also promotes the products I use when they see how easy they can create the same look.

You might also try in the future when you have a drawer like that do a couple of coats of wood hardener on both sides after you've glued it.

I'm currently doing a tall cabinet that used to be a gun cabinet with a glass door 🤔 and a chair with claw feet to match. Making the cabinet into shelving unit and decoupaging upolstry fabric on the inside matching the new fabric for the chair, building two shelves out of pallet wood, doing a glass on glass resin design on the door of a horse head , rust finish paint with a teal patina, raised stencils and possible transfers. It will be a southwestern boho look. Because I'm in the southwest.

@@JamiRayVintage yeah I'm having fun. That's the main thing. Not sure what to price it at. This is the first time I've ever decoupage upholstery material but I did a test piece and it seems to work pretty good.
@@KMF3 check out similar projects on Etsy. Although locally you may need to sell for less because Etsy can usually sell for more because people are willing to ship. Good luck ❤️❤️

Zeb is so good at transfer!!! Perfect work..the second going to sell so fast the paint color and transfer are so perfect together!!! Sure wish I could buy it...I could design a whole room abot that piece, cannot wait to see how you style the top!
I found the Botanist transfer hard to line up if you are applying it continuously on drawers. The oval of text being in 4 pieces makes it tricky. I would suggest IOD produce it with the oval of text to apply separately, or I guess you could cut it out separately yourself. In my experience get all the text and the oval lined up first for each piece and don't go by the grids to line it up with the draws. I have had to do surgery on mine too to get it lined up.
Those transfers are gorgeous! Lovely paint colors, too. I wish that I liked a distressed look, but it never has appealed to me. My brain can't accept intentionally scuffing furniture or accessories. It's funny- most people would never purchase a new sofa or dining table (or a car) that had been damaged in the warehouse.They would ask for a discount. And yet others will intentionally scuff it up and make it a prominent part of the decor. Different strokes I guess.
It’s just a cozy vibe. My true love is really old weathered antiques. But they are generally really expensive and hard to find. I think when you see a room pulled together it all makes sense. ❤️

These turned out beautiful and very helpful watching . My deal is I’m so afraid to cut up the transfers after paying so much for them, afraid I’ll mess up the beautiful designs . So this was very helpful 💕🤗 love you guys .

I just used the Elysium transfer on a bench what did you think of the applicator that came with it? Mine was so bendy I had a hard time using it 🫤
