  • Cousin just replaced the factory muffler for a Magnaflow muffler. It's got a a nice low rumble to it which is just what he wanted.

They look refinished but yes those are the stock wheels, I've never seen them that shiny from factory.
I also have a Y34 and the wheels are like matte chrome lol very faded but expected after 170,000 miles

Sounds weak, reliability is a joke. Nissan before 2000 are way way better.

No! It’s a Nissan product and imported from Japan. It’s also from before Nissan partnered up with Renault. Ever since that partnership, Nissans reliability has been on the decline.

agree, renault was behind the rev up vq35 and its oil issues as well as other engineering flaws in different engines

Hmm. Interesting. I didn’t know that. I wonder if they were also behind that problematic 2.5L 4 cyl as well. I haven’t researched it, but do you know if the HR and VHR motors are all Nissan? We had an 08 G35 sedan with the HR motor for 5 years. Sold it with 205k miles on it. We loved that car. It was “bulletproof.” Nissan reliability and durability is why I switched to them back in 2000. Since then, my wife and I are on our 14th & 15th Nissans. But I refuse to buy any Nissan with a CVT or anything turboed unless it’s a GT-R (never will be in my price range). Anyway, long story short, the M45 is 100% Japanese and is a reliable car.

The Infiniti that dont have a cvt are still great cars, but yeah anything else I wouldn't buy@@midrangetorque

Yup. I think the Infiniti line is still manufactured in Japan and exported. That’s why they’re still by far the best Nissan products! And no CVT trash!! Hopefully, they’ll eventually end their partnership with Renault!!
