As someone who moved to Canada aged 49, and now a citizen at 56, it's not impossible for us 'mature' people. I was lucky enough to meet a Canadian in my home country. We got my Canadian PR before we actually landed in Canada, via the the Spousal Sponsorship route. There was literally a mountain of paperwork, proving our relationship was legitimate, plus health tests and process costs. But we got there. Good luck with your personal journey to Canada...it is worth it!
Most manufactures in Canada are having an employee shortage and have turn to immigration programs to fill those spots. They can be a great temporary first job, or a path to get your PR statues.
Thanks for the inside, we are Canadians moving back to Canada. My son was eight when we moved to New Zealand. Now he wants go move to Canada, I'm moving along with him. Not looking forward to winter, since we haven't seen snow for 20 years, but I do remember. We used to live in Windsor Ontario, but don't want to live there again. It isn't the Canadian experience there.
Much milder weather is in areas around Victoria and the Lower Mainland (Vancouver and greater Vancouver). In the Vancouver area most winters there is not much snow. If you are coming from New Zealand, my guess is you will love the areas around Victoria or southern Vancouver Island. Twice I have visited New Zealand. It's a beautiful country!!! ❤
To the American IT worker looking to move to Canada, be aware that IT pay outside of the US is much lower, and especially so in Canada. Expect to take a paycut of 30% to 50%.
Very positive and trustworthy video. just a word out there, i am 43 (big family wife & 3 kids), nevertheless, i got my immigration visa approved through the Federal workers express entry. French skills got me selected from the pool which was introduced lately this year by the authorities (maybe you can do video on the new express entry focused selections). About worries and areas of concerns (which is in all countries around the globe), at least the government is doing and ready to do something about it and solve it. looking forward to travel into Canada next April and start building the next steps (the real hard work begins now). Good luck to all
Feel free to answer my questions or it’s none of my business: what province of PR did you apply? Do you have an institute degree or certificate in Canada?
Hello ladies. I am very curious of what exactly is Canadian experience/ work experience? I have work in various customer services jobs here in America. I also have an IT degree and still face to face with customers daily; as a PC repair and in cellular communications for my current job position. Due to the political changes about to impose here, this place is no longer the land of the free and I'm in desperate need of a new country to call home. So I really appreciate your content that helps in my endeavor to come to Canada to work, love and live in a safe environment. Thank you for all that you do.
Hey Anna & Anastasia, I have seen i think more than 20 videos of yours in a day due to the appealing content which is based on facts as i have many friends there in Toronto. Who knows i would be there in Toronto next year 😊
Thank you 🙏 guys for sharing your videos. I have been watching for a while now from Nigeria 🇳🇬 but have now moved to Canada 🇨🇦-in Ottawa capital city. Hmm so far so good 😊. My honest deduction and opinion from all the negativity is do you with the situation on ground. No perfect size and no perfect situation. As for me Canada is my own imperfect paradise..here for the long term even if it’s cold 🥶 and snows 13 months of the year, I will be here😅. Not going anywhere again except for a visit.
I came to Canada (from the US) at 40; I worked on 3 renewals of work visa (and even that was not enough for Perm Res); got sponsored (painfully) by my 18 years younger now common-law spouse (that was its own fiasco) but I am here and had my 2nd perm res renewal last year. Applying for citizenship in 1.5 years when I turn 55 (cheaper/easier).
So what I’m worried about is because I don’t have a college degree. I’ve just been working in the same field of customer service but I make decent amount of money doing it if I come to Canada will be the same or what I’ll take and pay customer service call center, never have a opportunity to earn a degree because of my challenges that I have had to fix that caused me not to get a degree so I worry about the job market and if I learn a job, will it be a good one and can I retire with it , cost-of-living somebody with customer service struggle what are the cheapest cities to live in with someone in my situation that don’t make that high income
Merry Christmas, you too. Love your channel. I try to visit to watch your videos even though I have Perm Res. I still learn helpful things (even though I have lived here since 2010). Thanks again for all your information.
Hey Anna and Anastasia, i am Aleksandar from Montenegro i am 24yo Merchant Navy Officer ( seafarer ) and i am working world wide on big ships as officer, i am planning to move in Canada ( Montreal ) for better life and society, i checked jobs for my profession but i can say that i couldnt find anything so i decided to start going in IT Academy and study as Developer. I just wanted to ask does employers in canada hier Developers with foreign certificates and how hard is to come in Canada and find job as Developer with no experience. I am financially very stable so i dont mind if i need to search little bit longer if there is opportunity. Thank you so much and i love your videos. They are very helpful and great! Keep up the good work ! ☺️
If it’s a fast food, hospitality, service job and they have a HIRING poster in the door - in person is best. Other jobs - probably online. The best way is to apply to those jobs is through networking and connections.
What do you think about the chances of getting a visa through express entry if you score high? With my current calculations I would get in the mid 500's. From what I've read this is quite high. But does that make the chance big getting through or will it still be quite difficult?
check out the recent draws and their cut off scores! Remember - you can always apply and see where you land! You don't have to commit unless you're actually invited.
❤thanks for sharing.. Question: Im young at heart, id like to retire early and feeling good overall about retiring to canada..but still work as a digital nomad..any specific feedback for retirees looking for home base in Canada.
If you’re planning to qualify for the country’s pension, you’d have to have lived in the country for at least 10 years priori, worked here and made contributions to the pension plan. Depending on your financial situation, you probably want to make sure you have affordable health coverage where you retire, for that, you’d have to get Canadian residency. You can learn about different immigration pathways and whether they apply to you on Canada.ca

Employers aren’t willing to lower their standards to hire every random person who wants a job. They still want to make sure they bring on reliable, hardworking, and skilled workers. We keep hearing stories from employers that many people are being very demanding of employers, while having very little to offer as employees.

Hello, can you please recommend a good list of bodies that offer trades vocational training for foreigners with affordable fees or even free for short periods say from 03 months to one year?
Retired builder here. For trades I suggest you focus on any trade/skill you have and look for large companies in Canada advertising jobs as many of them can help get you here. If willing to work in very remote locations (large work camps) you can make extremely good money with all living expenses paid. Northern British Columbia and the oil sands in Alberta are good examples.
do yo know which neighbourhoods has high crime and drug use? And is the neighbouring areas around the high crime area affected? For example Jane & Finch area I heard from real estate agents is a high crime area, so does it make it unsafe to live at the surrounding neighbourhoods - Downsview, Yorkdale, Rexdale, Humber summit.. and etc.
It really depends. The police department of Toronto has a website with a comprehensive crime map. We like to check the map out to get a sense of streets and areas with higher crimes. Check it out!
Just got time to check out the website, and I'm amazed at how informative it is, that I can filter out to see what kind of crimes happened and which neighbourhood. This really helps me make a better decision on where to settle down with my kids.@@MakeThatChange

Good day. Im a US citizen, my wife & son are CAD citizens. In your perspective, will it be more efficient that i move there to Canada instead of them moving here in the US?.
Hi! It all depends on you and your wife's profession, and where you plan on settling. Is finance and cost of living a big consideration for you? What about safety or job opportunities? What kind of lifestyle do you envision for your family?
@@MakeThatChange my wife’s a care aid for Interior Health there in CAD, currently on leave as we just had our 1st child last year then, im a support technician here in the US. I can say my perspective changed after we had our son, as where it feels that Canada is more family oriented if i can say.
It sounds like you have your priorities straight and leaning towards Canada to raise your family, and that makes total sense! You’re in a relatively risk free situation too, you could move around and try US if Canada doesn’t work out:
It's hard to give a specific answer. It all depends on each individual hospital's reputation, and how well they're handling the patient's load at any given moment.
Ladies, thanks for the good job. But, as a mature skilled worked has been working in many countries, knowing that unfortunately one of those countries was much better than Canada.
