Redeemed Sinner “Ignorance of scripture is ignorance of Christ” - St. Jerome
As a faithful Catholic Christian myself and self-proclaimed apologist and spiritual director, I read the scriptures for myself all the time. I enjoy the homilies at Mass as well, but the point is, yes we read the Bible for ourselves and study it, however, remember Acts 8:31 where a eunuch asks for help reading and understanding the Scriptures from Philip. We need the Church to guide us. Back in the early Church times, people didn’t have access to all the scriptures. Some people only had a letter or two from Saint Paul, and maybe one gospel, and people couldn’t even read, so it’s the priests and the bishops who would teach the faithful through their words and preaching. Thankfully today we can all read the scriptures for ourselves, but we still have the Church and the Catechism of the Catholic Church, etc. as a guide for us to understand what we are reading as in Acts 8:31. I love you and God loves you so much more🙏🏼

I'm catholic, 49 y.o. man, for the first decade of the 2000s I worked in a place where the manager had hired all the kids from his evangelical free church. I had to put up with a lot of hateful things said to me when they found out I was catholic (long before this crowd started working I was already in a habit of barely talking and never about religion, it's the best way to survive in a toxic workplace). In 2004, halfway through these years surrounded by these ppl, my brother committed sui***e. I was quiet all week, I did not talk to anyone for a week. When they found out, my boss and the bookkeeper cornered me shaking their fingers in my face, talking about sui***e and my brother. They were telling me only the catholic church teaches that sui***e is a sin, and not to listen to that crap I was raised with. I wanted to crawl in a hole, I don't know how people could be so insensitive, but it was all about scoring points again bashing Catholics and the church, who cares if I'm crying all week inside missing my brother. Never let a tragedy go to waste, they were using the same playbook as Leftists, but I doubt they realized this. One of these people who was a teenage girl at work, ran me down at the grocery store (I was trying to avoid being seen) this month 20 years after working there. She talked to me for more than half hour. She asked what I had in pen written on my hand. After we talked, I told her, I thought you hated me, the rest of the crew too hated me too, because you found out what church I go to. Ephesians chapter 5 , and Corinthians chapter 6 is what I had written on my hand, that's what was in my heart from the day I was born, and would not waiver and give into temptations, is clearly written in the bible. May not be popular in this day and age, but I can go back and read the inspired word of God and know I've been on the right path all along. I don't need to go out and put up Wilt Chamberlain numbers (off the basketball court), and then get "born-again". That always seemed disingenuous to me, as everyone I've ever talked to knew exactly what they were doing, referring to the first half of their lives, and had no regrets about it. In certain times at work when the right people were around, many Christians would tell hedonistic **x stories from their past (clearly no regret in what they are saying), before they supposedly became saved. To me this has always been an indicator of what kind of person I'm dealing with, and I care less about what church they attend. I've been told by a variety of people something similar, one put it in specific terms, that you wouldn't find 80 people out of a stadium of 80,000 people living according to God's law as described in Corinthians 6 or Ephesians 5. That's not less than 1 % , that's less than .1 % . Maybe before I'm dead our society will change for the better.......regardless of what church they go to. One can hope. But I think it was Red that said to Andy, hope is a dangerous thing in a place like this. Maybe that's why a person gets told they were born 100 years too late, just for trying to live by God's standards, but His standards are the best I've read

I am now praying the Rosary daily (once with you and your beautiful wife at 5 am🥱) I’m also doing research on my faith! If I would say anything to anyone putting down the Catholic Church it would be “yes you probably do know the Bible better than I but you need to know your history on the Christian faith.” If they are true to themselves they will see it leads right to the Catholic Church! Love your Chanel! My daughter was raised Catholic. When she went to college all her friends she met were not Catholic and talked very mean about Catholics. She had never experienced this before. She became afraid to say she was Catholic and started attending many different churches with her friends. Many times in the sermons they would say disparaging things about Catholics. She was upset and feeling like this all must be true. Anyway, thank goodness she has come full circle and is embracing being Catholic, but she wishes she new what to say when attacked. The last thing she told me was her friend told her it’s a satanic cult and her preacher told her that!! Good grief!! Shes 22 and I’m glad she has at least found one friend to go to Mass with! Hi Keith! I really admire the love you show for our Catholic faith. As a cradle Catholic, like many of us, I knew very little about my faith. I began attending protestant services about 6 years ago and the more I listened to their interpretation of the Bible I began to question their preaching. That's when I began to read and listen to Catholic programs and Protestant conversion stories, such as Scott Hann's story and other's. I have learned so much about my faith that the more I read the more I fall in love with Catholicism. If Protestants would only put their pride and arrogance aside and read these conversion stories and do their own research, they would know the truth. Let's all pray for them, that our Lord open their hearts and minds and use us Catholics as tools for their conversion. Always setting a good example of sanctity in our lives.

To be deep into history is to cease to be protestant. Many protestant pigeons hole themselves to the Bible alone and not study the church fathers. It was the Catholic Church 400 years after Christ through St Jerome and councils that determined the Canons of Scripture. It was a tradition that guided the early church and by those writings looked Catholic.

The biggest tired thing that I hear is that Catholics aren't Christian.

    • @mikerutkowski7265
      @mikerutkowski7265 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They aren’t.
Catholicism is definitely a lying pagan cult that was established by the same Roman Empire who crucified Jesus. Jesus commanded us to follow Him and He did not command us to follow some man made religion.
Now since Passover and Easter are drawing near, I will expose the false preachers and religions who wickedly promote and believe that Jesus was crucified on a Friday and if you are believing this Good Friday lie then you also know very little about God and scripture. These lies occur since many lack knowledge of scripture and they are not comprehending the important and explicit clues that John related in his gospel in regard to the Crucifixion and the Sabbath. This ignorance of truth certainly applies to the pagan cult known as Catholicism since they are one of the many false religions that claim that Jesus was crucified on a Friday.
Realize that the first day of Passover was considered a Sabbath day to the children of Israel since it was a day of holy convocation and no manner of work was to be done, so it was basically no different than the weekly Sabbath that God commanded the children of Israel to observe every Friday evening. You then need to understand that in a particular year when the Passover Sabbath would begin on a Thursday evening, this was then considered a high day Sabbath or a special Sabbath to the children of Israel since they would now have to recognize two Sabbath days back to back.
“‘Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation. You shall do no work on it; it is the Sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.”
      ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭23:3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Now to prove how the special feasts of God were to be treated no differently then the regular Sabbath and that no work was to be done, all we need to do is read what was related in Leviticus 23. Take notice that in the Leviticus 23:23-25 scriptures below, it clearly relates that a holy convocation also included a sabbath rest.
‬”Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a SABBATH-REST, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work on it; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord.’ ”
      ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭23:23-25‬ ‭NKJV
“‘These are the feasts of the Lord, holy convocations which you shall proclaim at their appointed times. On the fourteenth day of the first month at twilight is the Lord’s Passover. And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the Lord; seven days you must eat unleavened bread. On the first day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no customary work on it. But you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord for seven days. The seventh day shall be a holy convocation; you shall do no customary work on it.’ ”
      ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭23:4-8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Now God commanded the Israelites to keep His Passover on the fourteenth day of the first month at twilight and the first month of the year on God’s religious calendar is called Nisan or Abib and it begins in the spring and not in the winter as our current new year does. So because scripture relates that Jesus celebrated Passover at His Last Supper with His disciples many are falsely assuming that Jesus was crucified on Nisan 15 and not on Nisan 14 and that His Last Supper had to occur on a Thursday night since He was crucified on the day of Preparation. Now before I go on, I need you to understand that God commanded the Israelites to always celebrate His Passover but there was actually a period when the children of Israel stopped keeping God’s Passover. (See 2 Kings 23:21-23.)
Since the tribes of Israel had stopped keeping the Passover you can read where King Hezekiah and Josiah reinstated the Passover celebration in 2 Chronicles 30 and 35. They now chose to have the people celebrate God’s Passover at the second temple instead of at their homes since they wanted to make sure that the Israelites would stay loyal to God and His commands. So even though they reinstated the Passover celebration they actually were ignoring God’s command since they now started a tradition where many would celebrate God’s Passover at their homes on the beginning of Nisan 14 and then at the second temple in Jerusalem at the end of Nisan 14.
So because the gospels are relating that Jesus was buried on Preparation day, many false preachers and religions are ignorantly assuming that this meant that the crucifixion had to occur on a Friday, since this is the day that the Jewish people would normally begin their preparation for the weekly Sabbath that began every Friday evening. Further below I will definitely prove where their ignorance of scripture has led false preachers and religions astray but first I want you to understand that the Jewish calendar months are completely different then the Gregorian calendar that we currently use, and that the Jewish day actually ends once it becomes dark and not at midnight as our world is accustomed to.
So in order to start proving why the crucifixion did not occur on a Friday I will begin by revealing how the gospel of John related some very important information that many deceived believers are not comprehending.
First, take notice where John related in 13:1-3 that Jesus celebrated His Last Supper before the Feast of Passover and then understand that John was referencing the Passover celebration that would occur at the temple at twilight on Nisan 14.
‬ “NOW BEFORE THE FEAST OF PASSOVER, when Jesus knew that His hour had come that He should depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end. And supper being ended, the devil having already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray Him, Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God,”
      ‭‭John‬ ‭13:1-3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Next, I will reveal a couple of scripture verses where John related that when Jesus was crucified it occurred during a year where the Passover Sabbath was going to occur the day before the weekly Sabbath. This would mean that you would have two Sabbath days occurring back to back and since you now had a special Sabbath occurring on Thursday evening this then meant that no work could be done on either Friday or Saturday. So since the Jewish people could do no work once their Friday began (our Thursday at nightfall), this then meant that the day of Preparation would now fall on a Thursday instead of its normal Friday. Once again, take note that when you had a Feast Day Sabbath occurring the day before the weekly Sabbath this was then called a special Sabbath or a HIGH DAY Sabbath by the Jewish people.
‬”Therefore, because it was the Preparation Day, that the bodies should not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (FOR THAT SABBATH WAS A HIGH DAY), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.”
      ‭‭John‬ ‭19:31‬ ‭NKJV‬
‬”Then they led Jesus from Caiaphas to the Praetorium, and it was early morning. But they themselves did not go into the Praetorium, lest they should be defiled, but that they might eat the Passover.”
      ‭‭John‬ ‭18:28‬ ‭NKJV‬
So notice how John 19:31 related that the Sabbath that was going to occur later that evening was a HIGH DAY SABBATH. This meant that it had to be the Passover Sabbath and not the weekly Sabbath as many false preachers and religions are wrongly teaching. This is also why John 18:28 is relating how the Pharisees did not want to defile themselves on the day that Jesus was crucified since they were desiring to partake in the Passover meal that would occur at the end of that day at the temple. So since John clearly related in scripture that Jesus was crucified on the day of Preparation and he stated that this was the day before a HIGH DAY SABBATH Sabbath then the crucifixion definitely had to occur on a Thursday, otherwise God and scripture would be lying to us.
Lastly, in order to fulfill what Jesus related in the Matthew 12 scripture where He stated that He would spend three days and three nights in the heart of the earth here is a time recap of the Last Supper, the Crucifixion and His Resurrection and a complete breakdown of the three days and the three nights that Jesus spent in the heart of the earth. On Wednesday night as Nisan 14 begins this is when Jesus had His Last Supper with His Disciples. Then on Thursday morning which was still Nisan 14 Jesus is crucified at 9 in the morning and He dies on the cross at 3 in the afternoon. Jesus is then buried just before sundown on Thursday evening before the Passover Sabbath celebration begins. Jesus then of course rises from the grave early Sunday morning which is now Nisan 17.
Thursday Night #1 - Passover Sabbath Begins
Friday Day #1 - Passover Sabbath Ends At Sundown
Friday Night #2 - Weekly Sabbath Begins
Saturday Day #2 - Weekly Sabbath Ends At Sundown
      Saturday Night #3
Sunday Day #3 - Jesus Is Resurrected
“For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.”
      ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭12:40‬ NKJV
So Jesus died on the cross on Thursday Nisan 14 at 3 in the afternoon which was around the time that they began slaughtering the lambs that were needed to celebrate the Passover at the temple and this is why Jesus was known as the Lamb of God who was sacrificed for our sins.

As a former protestant of nearly 50 years ( from childhood ) and now a Catholic as of 3.31.2018, I've heard, seen, been the victim of so much hate filled words ( mostly online ) from professing Christians which is really sad. I was raised strict PENTECOSTAL and lots of stuff would send you to hell, but I never heard being a Catholic would send you to hell until I begin diving more into the Catholic faith which began in 2016. That didn't sway me from becoming Catholic.
You say a lot of great things. If you keep your eyes on Christ and love him like you are saying living your Catholic faith, you can turn a deaf ear to those that condemn you to hell for being Catholic. No human has the authority to pass final judgment. Those condemning Catholics to hell shows their ignorance of the Catholic faith. Yes, we are saved by Grace from God's Mercy through faith in Christ which none of us deserve but as Catholics we believe we have to cooperate with God's Grace.
There are a lot of religious nuts online who don't know how to be loving. They simply spew hate filled words in the name of love and try to justify it using select scriptures.
Hold your head high, keep loving Jesus and live the Catholic life. Peace be with you.

They are all their own Popes and rationalize accordingly.

Rolando Velásquez like everything else, these quotes are taken out of context. None of them are specifically talking about Mary. You also switched words quoting St. Augustine as saying that Jesus was “born” without sin then you switched it to “conceived”. This is so common for anti-Catholic Protestants... the tactic even has a name - “the Protestant spin”. We all know Jesus was conceived and born without sin... duh! He’s God! Now show me a quote where St. Augustine (after he converted, of course) says specifically that Mary was not born or conceived without sin. Then please read the Protoevangelium of James and tell us that again.

I have consecrated myself to Mary on 22 ND of August, coronation of blessed virgin Mary.i get frustrated and angry when Protestant s mock Mary with their indifference, hatred and contempt and don't acknowledge what she has actually done for us.Mary was the first Tabernacle of the lord.if she said no to God we would be lost in our sin,no redemption.
What happens is I stick up for Mary and they renounce her even more and say terrible things about her.you know what it's like when someone says something nasty about your mum, you stick up for her and defend her.imagine how Jesus feels when people are indifferent, contemptible and say hateful things about her.woe to that person!!
They say Mary isn't the mother of God!!
So all you people out there the woman who carried you in her womb for 9 months, guess what!! She's not your mother!! Ridiculous.
He who has not Mary as their mother has not God for their Father however much they boast of it simply because they have not Mary for their mother.Alas God has told Mary not to dwell in them for they are Esau!

Just yesterday, a protestant had s long talk with me, and used comment #4 , it's all about Jesus and it doesn't matter what church you attend. But what made this different was that the man taught college history for many years, he had been to Catholic retreats, and even had a fondness for the traditional Latin mass. So it made me think, why couldn't this man see the truth, and all i can come up with this that his blindness comes from not having the grace. So I have it in my mind to pray for him to receive that grace. Keith, you're doing wonderful work for Christ, if you're not doing it already, i suggest a Holy hour each day. Christ is the head and the Church is the body, faith in one and not the other is impossible. It is a false faith. It is no faith at all. Why? Because Christ and the Church are one, just as Christ and the Father are one.

Zer0 Day the word church is incorrect, it was added over the word “ called out” so people need to be clear the church isn’t nature dame or St. John’s Baptist church, all building denominational titles have nothing to do with the body of Christ.
The word “ Charity “ was added over Love, both of these words were modified amongst others to send believers in a building to contain the people for money and keeping them in fear and the priest richer.
You don’t need to go far and get the catholic catechism book and in there you will read how the Sabbath was changed from Saturday to Sunday.
The solution is simple, if you want to be part of the body of Christ you need to keep the commandments of God, that is the right commandments and the testimony of a Jesus Christ, read a John 15, if you don’t produce good fruits you are cast into the fire. Nowhere will you find in scripture in you are a catholic or a jw you are saved. Jesus upgraded God commandments keep that in mind but here is something you need to ask yourself, do you know the proper commandments of the top of your head? If not you haven’t even started the faith yet.

    • @jeremiahong248
      @jeremiahong248 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

@PattiBowenSolutions i commented this with sadness instead of judging them from moral high ground. Its derived from many encounters from ex Catholics who attacked Catholics teachings, adopting the same accusations as the Protestants like Marian worshippers, idol worshippers from the Roman temple etc. These ex Catholics would claim that they have been in the church for 30 / 40 years but not been given bible lessons, seen fake priests and are spiritually dead. Now they are filled with the Holy Spirit and are inviting blinded Catholics to join them and leave the false religion Emperor Constantine founded. I can carry on. There are more. Wafer worshippers. Follwers of the whore of Babylon. These are common comments left in Catholics TH-cam vids.
So do you still feel that I am judging them ? Are they not seeds that are choked by thorny false teachers ?

Well, i've just prayed to God he will remove these obsessions from my mind, i'm tired of judging protestants, and i'm tired of paying attention to these horrible arguments they make against us... may God just grant us peace and we may let all this pass, for it's His church after all and not up to us to deal with this... that we may love all whoever they are and think equally and at the end say thanks to Him for moving even if outside the sacraments... some days i'm just thankful for Hillsong and Bethel and a lot of Christian music you know? like, there's no way God isn't moving in these places in a wonderful way, to me it's a mystery, though i would never leave our blessed Catholic Church, Christ is TOO real in the Eucharist for me to go, the sacrament of penance is too real as well, may protestants come to open their eyes to these blessed means of salvation and even if they don't well, may we just not really care and move on and keep on loving them and praying for them.
Former protestant here (congregationalist, sorta calvinistic, but sorta ecumenical), now fully Roman Catholic.

Cradle catholic here. Same for me no matter what doubts I have, the Eucharist always convince me that I'm at the right place. I saw our Lord one day during the procession of the Holy Sacrament. The priest wasn't there anymore it was Him standing in front of me instead. He's so real! He is Love and Peace. Just for that I will never leave my Church!

As a convert from atheism to Catholicism I also love Gospel music too, one of my favorites is the young 26yr old singer DOE. My favorite song of hers is "When I pray" 🙏

I find that talking directly to God has proved His existence in Miracles, people coming to Christ, relationships being restored, and all of that without the Roman Catholic Church. How can that be? Catholics wake up to Jesus Christ not Mary or the pope.

Thank you brother for telling the ignorant of the facts of our religion and history. But know the thing are said in the hate of the fools that repeat them and although they are annoying but for those whom love Christ simply point out the history and facts as you have. For those who have studied the faith truly know the incredibly AWESOME love and graces the Almighty have given us. Be the person of faith God would wish us all to be and be calm. The Almighty is with us always. Be not afraid.

Hi Keith, my name is Chuck. I think I just found your video collection and I’m enjoying it. My experience is similar to yours almost 40 years in the foursquare church coming away with a love for truth and a love for scripture❤️💕 basically still a good story, then brutally interrupted by Catholic radio ministry called Catholic Answers. and I didn’t really think Catholic had any answers just problems but this show radically changed my life for Jesus that I’ve known for 40 years and now I’ve gotten closer to the actual historical Jesus. Thanks for your videos I’m gonna collect them.
