metal slug 5 best soundtrack of the series
2 3 and 4 had a few pretty good tracks as well Metal Slug Advance on GBA just used a normal rendition of this same ending theme from 5 but I like the Metal version better.

Advance came before 7 and 5 and 3D was a side story after the events of 3. If I recall correctly...

This is pretty late but, in the case of the canon universe, I'm pretty sure Advance is in between of 3 and 6 or 6 and 7.

Actually many of the Metal Slug games had their own various soundtracks consisting of various songs. Metal Slug 5 is no exception in this regard and had many other songs in it's music suit. What's more; all the songs of Metal Slug were for the most part had original songs, although some songs were merely remixes to songs that came before; like the "Military System", "Assault Theme" and a few others.
And in the case of Metal Slug X: all it's songs were extended remixes and updates to Metal Slug 2's soundtracks.

i mean i never played a game with such a cool, Fantastic soundtrack, and it's such a simple game i get kinda disappointed, you know? i mean i love this game since i was kid, it's not about the quality of the game, but i think you understand my point
For some reason, I can't listen to this song without picturing Red Goblin Awakening, for me this will always be Red Goblins theme, weird I know.

this game could have turned out to be the best game in the series behind 3 and 6, but they had to remove 2 great bosses...

@@bappojujubes981 No idea, they were removed so no data about it lol but my bet would be between the forth and final stage. The forth is a water stage and suddenly changes to a desert-somewhat wasteland. And the final stage, the whole city is under fire, maybe an attack or something but what happened? No idea, also the guy who originally wear the mask, the transition to defeating the devil... that's where the rush part comes to my mind.
@@bappojujubes981 The game got rushed due to the lack of time and money. How long did it take? only 10 month. So, most of the data's are remained in dummy data. Here's a few changes before they announced the game.
1. The stage order was originally 3 > 2 > 1 > 4 > 5.
2. Big metal slug known as "Metal Rear"'s size was suppose to be more gigantic than the official version.
3. Most of the robot units had more variations, but never made it in the final game.
4. Black Hound's design was sorta changed. The first concept was a pilot version. The laser head was originally set on the back side. But they changed to the 'Unmann Drone' tank, which it went wild in the game. Also, Black Hound should've appeared once more on stage 3 as a middle boss.
5. Flame shot was suppose to be include in the game. But absent without reason.
6. The main slug in this series, the "Slug Gunner"'s concept was very unstable and incompleted. Because Unlike the main metal slug tank, the player cannot bring it in every boss fight.
7. The Stage 2 boss, the big ass airship has some glitch. When the player defeat the boss, the airship's palette got glitched. And originally, once it was destroyed, one small jet was supposely eject from the air ship.(The pilot looks like Lumi. But this has no official confirmation.)
8. On Stage 4, it starts at somewhere around beach, under the sea, underwater tunnel and lastly, sand. Everybody can tell the background stage order was screwed up.
9. Finally, on the final stage, there was suppose to be 2 more bosses like you guys mentioned. And yes, you all notice that the final background stage was also kinda rushed. The Original boss stage was suppose to be more longer than usual. The unused 2 bosses were named 'Stone Turtle' and the commander of the Ptolemaic Army(known as the unknown priest from jungle stage 1) 'Ptolemaios'.(All of the names were officially confirmed in "Metal Slug Attack".)
Technically, the Stone turtle, Mamos tower and the Ptolemaios's concept name is "Moving Fortress Temple".
The halfway of final stage was set inside of Stone turtle. But they all got cut in the final game. Sadly...if they had more time and money, the game could have been great as Metal Slug 3.
Since 2003, It took 10~15 years that the offical game finally fix the plot of Ptolemaic in Metal Slug Attack (Mobile Game).
Besides the official game, there's a fan game called "Metal Slug 5 Elite". Which it tries to make a full game by using every dummy files that is left off in the final game. Unfortunately, the game dev rebooted the whole developing process. So the 2012~2018 version is scraped. The new version might take a little longer than it should :( ....
