Im so happy people are re-creating Kirby 64 Crystal Shards content. Ive come to realize the year 2000 era of video games and everything really around that timeline is my overall favorite and when i was most happy in my life. Thank you for this as a Hawaii gamer with depression and nostalgia.
I can't believe you made another version of it! That's awesome! As an avid Zero-Two fan, I'd like to point out that the 'gas clouds' Zero-Two sends out at you after flipping over aren't actually gas clouds, it's blood that has been colored green as a form of censorship, similar to how Ganon and Ganondorf's blood were changed from red to green following the initial release of Ocarina of Time. This is heavily implied by the fact that the same green particles come out of Zero-Two's body when it's exploding upon being defeated. Why would gas clouds be coming out of it as it's in its death throes and not blood? Furthermore, there's no evidence to support this, but I find it highly likely that Zero-Two's tail was also colored green in order to make it seem less visceral, and further make people think that it was just emitting poisonous gas. The only thing I have to go by for this is the fact that it goes against Zero Two's color palette of red and white, and just looks kind of out of place as a result. Still, you've done a fantastic job with the fight! I love it!
@@Gguarino You are welcome! Yeah, it's very likely that the ESRB cracked down on HAL Laboratory after Dreamland 3's release, with the original Zero fight. The ESRB doesn't (or at least didn't back in 1997) 100% the games, but no doubt they were made aware once they were released to the public. Zero (and by extension, Zero-Two) seems to have been purposely omitted from making cameos in the following years, as they were left out of the Final Boss portrait in Squeak Squad, as well as the Keychain for the DL3 Boss Butch in Triple Deluxe being edited to leave Zero out of it (Zero was in the original sprite they ripped from the game, so they INTENTIONALLY had to go out of their way to omit him). This seems to have ended with Planet Robobot in 2016, which featured them as a sticker, and they've been making cameos about every two years since then, not to mention what was essentially a revival of the character in Star Allies. Zero Two has only been featured in two artwork pieces, both of which were in Star Allies, in 2018. Still, it seems like they're either allowed or feel safe to have both incarnations of the bleeding eyeball make cameos in future Kirby games, which is great! Also, on another note, I don't expect you to be able to program this, but in the original game, you could destroy the red part of Zero Two's wings, which would emit red particles (could be pieces of their wings but I feel like this was just another way for them to disguise blood) every time they were hit, and they would actually make Zero Two have a harder time following you once they were destroyed! The fight does actually seem to take place in a legitimately 3D arena- If you destroy both its wings, you can fly behind it, and you'll see it's shooting its eye-explosion-beams off into the distance, rather than towards you. You and Zero Two just seemed to be locked in on each other, for the most part. The mechanics of the fight are REALLY REALLY interesting- I just wish it was a bit harder, but maybe that was by choice, so you could focus more on the atmosphere, which directly contrasts with the approach they went for in Dreamland 3, which was much faster paced and actually fairly challenging. Anyways, thanks for reading all of this, if you have! I'll definitely be tuning into your channel to see whatever you make next, Kirby-related or not! 3D Animation isn't easy, and I can see you've made a good amount of progress in a remarkably short amount of time!

The sound design is a lot better than that other 02 remake, they didnt have the halo shatter sfx, but i gotta say the attack from the eye not exploding into an aoe like the original really bothers me, seems too easy to get past. Also the transition from broken halo to weird thorn thing was far too fast, but damn i love the lighting style you went with, the ost slowed down is bad ass as well. Gotta say the "You Won!" Message at the end is pretty damn cheesy though imo lol, kinda cheapens the experience
Reminder that the bosses we don't find terrifying on games could be more nightmare fuel in real life
Bowser be like.
Miracle Matter be like.
the lighting makes this terrifying

This is really good. But as a 02 fan, I have to point out that the red tips of his wings are supposed to be blood vessels.
I know, but I wanted to recreate the original look from the gameplay of the original game.
Actually, When Zero returns. It's death animation is BOOOK
...I still don't get why Zero 02 has a thorny root below him... or why he farts through it.
Someone Said that the root was actually suposed to bê a spine but It was censored and that the gás is actual blood
@@mobgabriel1767 ...yeah, that seems a bit more in line with what Zero in general is supposed to be. Do we have any sources for that tho?

Happened to the tears of blood flowing down it's body? In the original I liked that touch, could you add it back?
I would like too, but I have to figure out how to implement it on unreal engine since it is a real time rendering
