Gus did not leave the parking lot because he saw Walters reflection in his glasses. He left because he realized Walter poisoned the boy to get him there, since he didn't do it himself .

Fun Fact: "Pryce", aka Daniel Wormald, was in Breaking Bad.
Not in character, but in name. He's the "Danny" who owned the Laser Tag place. Writer Tom Schnauz confirmed it in an interview.

The thing you have to remember is that Jimmy hasn't quite gotten rid of his old antics. The broken legs, the billboard.... Chuck can see right through that stuff. But I think the way he went about it was totally wrong.

Yea Chucks feelings and concerns were very valid. Just the way he handled things was not ideal

I completely agree with your comments about people changing. Clearly Jimmy had turned his life around. He didn't even take the $ he could have taken when it was sitting on his desk. He has integrity and given the opportunity, his brother could have completely molded him into a productive member of society.
But it was about Chuck's ego. The first half of his tirade was to mock Jimmy's education. He then showed that he was outraged that Jimmy "took shortcuts" and now considers himself as his "peer". He then tried to make it about the law being "sacred" but he had already shouted out the true reasons why he is upset.
Shout out to the brilliant writers and acting by both Bod Odenkirk and Michael McKean. Both of them put on a masterful performance in this scene. I agree with you that BCS > BB. Enjoy the rest of the season.

The relationship between Chuck and Jimmy is so complex, not to mention that this is the first episode where we have concrete proof that Howard is more complex as well. Something that the actors in BCS do tremendously well is nonverbal acting, especially Rhea Seehorn and Patrick Fabian. I recommend paying very close attention to everyone's body language and micro expressions: they tell at least half the story for each character.

Steven Ogg was the voice and motion actor for Trevor so yeah good guess

I think the difference with jimmy changing is that he usually never has remorse for the scams he pulls and doesn’t see them as wrong. A person who wants to change will recognize the error in their behaviors but jimmy just kinda works around them without acknowledging it. Makes him very hard to trust

Chuck is salty because he knows Jimmy will eventually become someone like Saul in Breaking Bad. Chuck was reminded of that after seeing the bilboard stunt Jimmy pulled. Remember he knows Jimmy better than anyone and you will see in this show how Jimmy will prove him to be right.

This was actually the episode that introduced me to the show! The scene that introduced me to Better Call Saul was either one of the arguments between Jimmy and Chuck, or the scene with Mike making Trevor Phillips his bitch 😂
Funnily enough, that was my first real introduction to Mike as well! I was pretty new to Breaking Bad, and I saw that clip of Better Call Saul, and it was pretty much my first viewing of Mike!
As for Chuck…the million dollar question is whether Chuck’s motives were sincere or not. Like was Chuck doing what he did for the right reasons, or was it the manifestation of something deeper? It becomes more clear the more the show and sibling rivalry goes on.
Rewatching the episode too, I can notice some gaslighting on Chuck’s part when he gave Jimmy the suggestion. The reasons Chuck said and the points were fair, but was it actually for the right reasons? I think it was just to bring Jimmy down, make Jimmy feel somehow inadequate.
I know Jimmy hasn’t done it perfectly. But realistically, who HAS when it comes to the law? Even when Jimmy made his mistakes, he’s been nothing but utmost loyal to Chuck, taking care of him for months, helping him get back on his feet! Then Chuck blindsides him.

The "Big Show" looking guy may look familiar because he was last seen driving some escorts to a warehouse party in "El Camino."
The "Trevor" looking guy did in fact voice Trevor in GTA5. Good catch.

Another great episode one of my favs from S1. The main part of it is the Jimmy/Chuck dynamic, and the fact that we now know Chuck actually used Jimmy's mobile to ring Howard to not hire Jimmy. Of course we are all rooting for Jimmy as he is the titular character, and we love his antics in both shows, but strangely enough Chuck knows Jimmy better than anyone because he knows what he is capable of, however his belittling of Jimmy is hard to watch. We cannot blame Jimmy for washing his hands of Chuck after this betrayal. The scene with Mike in the car park again is a great moment. Tough guy getting mouthy with Mike, even calling him Uncle Fester, we just know what way this gonna go, and of course Mike as cool as a cucumber again in dealing with it. Great episode again.

I love the camerawork so much in Better Call Saul (and Breaking Bad), especially the way they use medium and long shots when other shows would use close-ups. For some reason it really works. It invites you to take in all the details of the background and the positioning (which they pay equal attention to!).

Jimmy didn't change, he was down on his luck at the beginning of the season, decided to scam kettlemans, decided to do the whole bilboard fiasco. He took the kettleman's bribe. Chuck

An unlikable person is not necessarily a bad person. And a “likable” person isn’t always really a good person. Chuck has an annoying and unlikable personality but he had a pretty sensible take on a lot of things with a strong sense of morals I guess. Idw spoil anything else lol

Can’t see anyone else playing Jimmy or Chuck, or literally anyone in this series. Bob and Michael completely killed that last scene. Sad to see that Chuck wouldn’t really just talk to Jimmy about his recent antics rationally instead of calling Howard and completely derailing like that on him. He knows he fucked up at the end too.

Reguarding Chuck, the thing that always impressed me the most from his tirade against Jimmy is...the way that tirade starts!
"You are not a real lawyer, university of american Samoa for Christ's sake, an online course (...)I worked my ass (...) you take those shortcuts and you think you re suddenly my peer?"
What really bothers him (to the point of not being able to cover it) is Jimmy being seen as his peer, something which is ridiculous, Jimmy being a lawyer doesnt diminish Chuck's past achievements. All the other part (starting with "I know you") is a way to sugarcoat to himself the real reason why Jimmy shouldnt be a lawyer. I bet he met many unethical scumbags in his career, yet Jimmy is the hitler of lawyers? The one lawyer that could destroy everything? The one that needs to be stopped? Lol, give me a break Chuck and be honest with yourself.
Jimmy could have played straight in his whole life as a lawyer and Chuck would have still judged him unworthy of being a lawyer because of Jimmy's past and because of how he sees the world. He could have seen the good part of his brother while working side by side with him at this case, but this would have made Jimmy Chuck's peer for real, something inconceavable for him.
    Sorry for the long comment
