    Feel free to ask any questions, I'll be reading every comment!
    I believe with the world wide crisis we are facing now, we require a world wide solution. And this is why I believe we need decentralized devices such as this Reactor. Think about it, even if there is just 1 reactor in every community, that will put a huge dent in plastic waste and pollution.
    Due to this, I do not wish to make a singular specialized Reactor, once I master and complete this one, I want to make all different types, of all different scales and sizes.

    Dude you're channel is gonna be huge if you keep this up. Super interested in pyrolysis as a mechanical engineer especially bio-pyrolysis with stuff like hemp or bamboo. You can also use the carbon byproducts as dirt additives which greatly increase the mineral retention of the soil after fertilization

    hello bro, I also love pyrolysis and plastic in general, but one of the things about pyrolysis is that it needs a lot of energy, but here I realized something, plastic and garbage already have heat power, and they have a lot, now I'm working on a furnace that works with plastic, I wanted to use it to melt metals like aluminum or copper, but I think it might be a good idea to use this energy (practically free) in pyrolysis, there are big companies in sweden that get electricity from the garbage and have empty landfills and above all it is quite clean energy, plastic when it burns well does not pollute much, it pollutes less than coal, I love plastic especially for the amount of energy it has approximately 31Mj/kg and it is a pity that this energy is polluting lakes and destroying ecosystems instead of being used as a good source of cheap energy
    I hope you can design a good reactor, regards

      During pyrolysis some of the gas doesn't collect. That can be burned to heat the reaction process limiting needed heat

    If you have vapors or whatever that don't condense down, they could be fed into a fire source to ensure a fire or the heat stays sufficient enough to keep making plastoline, which is something to suggest if you use a combustion for heating the distiller system.
    My God, this is badass my guy!!
    Please keep continuing the research!
    If you want to, check out the TH-cam channel Alek Polak, he's been distilling waste engine oil, waste transmission fluid, and such to use as diesel fuel, that shit works!

    Unfortunately- the reason why they don’t recycle plastic at an industrial scale is because it isn’t profitable, it can be, barely, but your margins would be super tight, plastic is usually dirty and needs to be cleaned, the wat/hours or fuel it burns, the pay rate of workers who have to prepare the plastic, and the engineers who have to keep things maintained and inspected at all times for proper production. In a perfect world a good company would pay to put small refineries up in secluded areas of the world where plastic pollution is most dire, but companies aren’t going to pay for something that isn’t profitable, if they were to market it properly, I could see it working, raise the price by like 15 cents to the gallon and use that with the notion in mind for like “every gallon bought we will recycle a pound of plastic”

  • @user-ir2tm6vg3c
    @user-ir2tm6vg3c ปีที่แล้ว +1

    to everyone saying, "patent this" or "keep this quiet", the process has been around for years he didn't invent it. Hazel chem, bang goes the theory, many others and I included have produced pyrolysis oil. So why is this not a massive industry? Simple it has been cheaper to extract new fossil fuel from the ground until recently when oil prices have been skyrocketing. Even now it's still not overly competitive due to the high prices of processing the acidic crude with reagents such as NaOH and dehydrating and stabilizing the monomers in the oil. However, there are some amazing and rare people in the world such as nature jab who place sustainability and environmental protection first and invest in innovative alternative fuels instead of focusing on maximizing profits. Furthermore making your own oil is actually quite fun and therapeutic and a good way to spend your time. Edit: in case any of you conspiracy theorists out there aren't convinced yet here's a video of the process from 2014: th-cam.com/video/njIYHtFmcSs/w-d-xo.html
