Death Blossom is definitely the worst ultimate. At least with Blade, you have a dash reset for mobility, but with Death Blossom you are just forced to spin slowly in the middle of the enemy team. It gives plenty of time for your opponents to not only leave it's radius, but to kill you as well, since you are entirely defenseless and cannot cancel ult. Speaking of canceling ults, every character has a way to negate Death Blossoms effects or just outright kill you.
Agreed, with blade you can at least get out enemy ultimates and survive, with blossom there's just no way without support bailing you out. The irony is that blossom is best used to secure 1 or 2 kills, but the problem is that you usually still die afterwards unless you get help from your team, at least with blade you can get out with the dash reset. Blossom's only saving grace is that it's easier to use and has an instantaneous cast time so you can kill off low health/unaware targets compared to blade, but again that doesn't matter because you usually have to trade your life for it most of the time.

And speaking of used as intended what would the use case for bastion’s ult? It’s not during a fight/duel as you become stationary. It could be during a team fight but you’d need to either pre position yourself to be able to get behind cover when ulting, less you die because u can’t move and he has the biggest hit box of any non tank (probably bigger than Junker Queen), or you have to run out of the team fight to get to a safe place to ult. And it can’t be used outside of team fight because then it’s just a test of wether the opponents have a brain and thumbs/an arm. Genuinely speaking the ult has like 2/3 use cases and even in those I’d probably still prefer to have blossom. Like sure we can use it from a safe place, but more often than not that safe place is removed from the action and where a bastion wouldn’t want to play in the first place, unlike Blossom which plays into Reapers play style of getting up close and personal. TLDR ; Bastion ult is the worse because it is not only horrible at what’s it’s supposed to be used for, but it also makes you more vulnerable and actively goes against how you would want to be playing the character. We may not die but we certainly didn’t get any value.

In 6v6 it would be easy to balance since it could be made powerful but need another hero to fully utilize. 5v5 makes it either broken or useless with almost no in between. Shame really.

Like when I try to go after Juno and she just hovers backwards out of reach, I feel like a kid trying to reach the cookie jar for 6s before I go back to my team in shame with zero kills, and Juno is left with 5hp since blade doesn't 2 hit 225s.
You’re not timing your ult correctly. Same thing could be said bout most supports. You gotta wait out cooldowns or choose different targets. Moira with fade, immo with bap, tp with kiri, trans with zen, beat, etc. I find it easier to use blade as a finisher on a kill rather than to start a fight with it while everyone still has their cooldowns.
Nah blade is one of the best ults in the game cuz when you use it it triggers people’s 2016/2017 PTSD of when it actually could get kills and automatically forces 3 ults from the enemy team.
unironically the best use of blade is forcing the other team to react. if you try to go in and kill someone they’re all going to focus you and pocket before you can get 3 swings.
LMAO the only win, I remember joining a match where the team I backfilled for was getting walked (I'm talking on avg 20 kills for them and 5 kills my team) when I say they literally couldn't push anymore simply from me being there (which tbh they COULD the only things that changed was the DPS the rest was the same) Anyways they literally used two ults on me, death blossom and bob just to kill me, I'm like hell, I'll take it!! We ended up winning that match too.

Bapiste ult should not be A. It's not like a lot of other ults, especially support, where you can just pop it and get instant value. There's also a lot of ways to counter it especially with the current speed and zoning options. It's just a better version of McCree's ult where all you really do is zone out the enemy unless you have impeccable positioning and timing. It's not bad, but there's no way I can see it as that good and most, if not all, of the other support ults get better value in a match overall. I think Kiriko ult is still better than Orbital as well. Death blossom is the sole reason why I don't think Reaper is not as meta/near meta as people seem to think he is. Even if you get 1 kill, you're left wide open since you cannot cancel his ult whatsoever so it's not uncommon to just die after getting a kill unless you have cover or your team helps you out. It's almost better to hold your ultimate unless you absolutely have to trade. At least with Genji blade if you can secure a kill you can get out, and if you can't get a kill you can usually get out support ults and keep your life, same with almost every other offensive ult. If you use blossom and the enemy gets a support ult in time, you're dead. If anything I would put Blossom, Blade, and Dragon at D tier as the bottom 3 ults.
I'm pretty sure the optimal way to use Bap's ult is to kill one person out of position with it or use it to take a 1v1. It's pretty easy to get value out of it if you're only using it selfishly to secure a kill.

Cleanse still counters shatter if you use it before hand. Also jq ult is countered by less things. Shatter is countered by Suzu, tranquility, immortality, burst heals, barriers, beat, etc

Imo i think sojourn needs a new ultimate or a rework to it. Her ult is just her doing her normal stuff faster. she already can charge her rail super fast in general. It doesnt change her optimal ttk at all. You have to be cracked at the hero for the small advantage it would give you over bodyshotting into rail HS. It doesnt have the feeling of soldier aimbot or cass highnoon which can completely zone an area. It doesnt have any real utility. The power of her ult is completely determined by the power of her rail and i think there should be a little seperation there.
As a huge support main I have to disagree with some of the placements. Bap ult should not be as high and honestly should be lower than Moira ult. The explanation you gave for Visor can also be used on Bap ult due to hyper mobility. On top of that you can't instant value or not as much value out of the ult. Honestly I'd swap Moira's ult into A tier, put Lucio's ult in A tier, and put Bap's ult into B tier.
You’re using blade wrong. You’re not supposed to try to kill people with it. The correct way to use dragonblade is when you’re tired of actually trying to win, so you pick Genji and use blade to throw the game because it’s a wasted Ult spot on your team that could be being used for any actual good hero. So to use blade effectively, you’re meant to die and kill nobody and throw the game for your team :) the next step is picking another hero and stop throwing
As a Genji player, the characters that annoy me most are Tracer: She just does what Genji does but better in every way except vertical mobility and poke. But who needs poke on a dive character. Sombra: She has just replaced Genjis role, she has the vertical mobility to kill Widows on Kings's Row and maps like that where Tracer struggles. Brigitte: Why can't they just nerf her, I am so confused why bash goes through deflect, or why whip shot just flies Genji so far that he can't make it to her. And Widows that take advantage of Genji's bigger hitbox.

My main since ow1 first came our in 2016 has always been genji. Ive been called a weeb for nearly a decade now but something about his playstyle, abilities, skins etc. Really catered to me. I remember 8 second dragonblade and popping off in qp occasionally (even when it was "broken" it was still really hard to use). Ill never forgive blizzard for how they butchered him. Hes always been popular but that doesnt mean hes a good pick or even an average one. He just sucks and its way easier to perform the same on hitscan or a character like pharah. Season 1 of ow2 was the last time he was even close to the top of the meta. For being one of the hardest characters to play, i think he should always be among the top characters. Instead they nerfed him for years only to forget about him, despite every genji player begging for any buff at all. Just really sad, one of countless reasons ow2 is a massive disappointment
As someone who enjoys reaper every now and then, getting anything out of the ult is so tough. You have to make sure d va is demeched or busy in your own back line, try to get Kiri to use her cleanse or bal lamp. If they are running all 3 just forget it.

Widow ult being crazy underrated here. It’s counterplay is literally twiddling your thumbs in spawn until it’s gone. Best zoning ult in the game because it zones the whole fucking map. If you’re trying to flank or make a play when it’s popped just put the mouse down and start counting

As a reaper player too I can definitively say its just ass you go to high elo and its seriously the most predictable ult in the game. Oh wow reaper is tp'ing or wraithing in a straight line I truly wonder what hes up to (that might sound like a low elo thing to do but believe me when im not on dps or reaper its so easy to see). All I see now is dva paired with anything that basically gives you another shot at life so to attempt to get that fat blossom is just suicide to click that button you'd seriously be better off holding it all game unless you get all the simping (nano, bubble, dm , suzu, anything that stops you from popping like a ballon for that potg)

Idk. I think with good movement, a tire is extremely effective in dodging and flanking. Tire can also be used to pressure the enemy off point when its close to OT.
Sigma Ult can never be S for the sole reason of Sombra existing. Life grip counters this as well Baptiste ult also is C tier and I will die on that hill. It's literally a grav for the other team

Mostly accurate, but I think your reasoning for putting earth shatter in B tier because of cleanse (the knock down isnt effecting by suzu anymore), but then putting other ults like rampage in A when that arguabley gets countered more by suzu, but your reasoning was "cleanse iant as impactful rn because juno and ana are being played more". Doesnt really make sense
Cleanse still counters shatter if you use it before hand. Also jq ult is countered by less things. Shatter is countered by Suzu, tranquility, immortality, burst heals, barriers, beat, etc

Imo i think sojourn needs a new ultimate or a rework to it. Her ult is just her doing her normal stuff faster. she already can charge her rail super fast in general. It doesnt change her optimal ttk at all. You have to be cracked at the hero for the small advantage it would give you over bodyshotting into rail HS.
It doesnt have the feeling of soldier aimbot or cass highnoon which can completely zone an area. It doesnt have any real utility. The power of her ult is completely determined by the power of her rail and i think there should be a little seperation there.

As a huge support main I have to disagree with some of the placements. Bap ult should not be as high and honestly should be lower than Moira ult. The explanation you gave for Visor can also be used on Bap ult due to hyper mobility. On top of that you can't instant value or not as much value out of the ult. Honestly I'd swap Moira's ult into A tier, put Lucio's ult in A tier, and put Bap's ult into B tier.

You’re using blade wrong. You’re not supposed to try to kill people with it. The correct way to use dragonblade is when you’re tired of actually trying to win, so you pick Genji and use blade to throw the game because it’s a wasted Ult spot on your team that could be being used for any actual good hero. So to use blade effectively, you’re meant to die and kill nobody and throw the game for your team :) the next step is picking another hero and stop throwing

As a Genji player, the characters that annoy me most are Tracer: She just does what Genji does but better in every way except vertical mobility and poke. But who needs poke on a dive character.
Sombra: She has just replaced Genjis role, she has the vertical mobility to kill Widows on Kings's Row and maps like that where Tracer struggles.
Brigitte: Why can't they just nerf her, I am so confused why bash goes through deflect, or why whip shot just flies Genji so far that he can't make it to her.
And Widows that take advantage of Genji's bigger hitbox.

Btw, this is coming from someone who has mained D.va since season 5 in ow1 (well I was Bronze but eh). I honestly expected Self destruct to be lower considering how easy it is to deny. Also, squishing ppl with Tokki will never not be funny.
My main since ow1 first came our in 2016 has always been genji. Ive been called a weeb for nearly a decade now but something about his playstyle, abilities, skins etc. Really catered to me. I remember 8 second dragonblade and popping off in qp occasionally (even when it was "broken" it was still really hard to use). Ill never forgive blizzard for how they butchered him. Hes always been popular but that doesnt mean hes a good pick or even an average one. He just sucks and its way easier to perform the same on hitscan or a character like pharah. Season 1 of ow2 was the last time he was even close to the top of the meta. For being one of the hardest characters to play, i think he should always be among the top characters. Instead they nerfed him for years only to forget about him, despite every genji player begging for any buff at all. Just really sad, one of countless reasons ow2 is a massive disappointment
As someone who enjoys reaper every now and then, getting anything out of the ult is so tough. You have to make sure d va is demeched or busy in your own back line, try to get Kiri to use her cleanse or bal lamp.
If they are running all 3 just forget it.

Supports are still disgustingly OP and it's most obvious in their ults. The fact that nano hasn't gotten any changes in YEARS is disgusting. Such a braindead fight winning ult, but I guess every support needs at least a couple braindead ability.
Widow ult being crazy underrated here. It’s counterplay is literally twiddling your thumbs in spawn until it’s gone. Best zoning ult in the game because it zones the whole fucking map. If you’re trying to flank or make a play when it’s popped just put the mouse down and start counting

As a reaper player too I can definitively say its just ass you go to high elo and its seriously the most predictable ult in the game. Oh wow reaper is tp'ing or wraithing in a straight line I truly wonder what hes up to (that might sound like a low elo thing to do but believe me when im not on dps or reaper its so easy to see). All I see now is dva paired with anything that basically gives you another shot at life so to attempt to get that fat blossom is just suicide to click that button you'd seriously be better off holding it all game unless you get all the simping (nano, bubble, dm , suzu, anything that stops you from popping like a ballon for that potg)

Idk. I think with good movement, a tire is extremely effective in dodging and flanking. Tire can also be used to pressure the enemy off point when its close to OT.
