- Esper Midrange has always been a top tier deck in Standard, but can some new cards from Outlaws of Thunder Junction make it even better?

That g1 vs dimir at about the 1:00:00 mark was absolutely insane. Definitely one to study for anyone looking to improve at standard
he's so tilt proof oh my god. "pirates are outlaws, that's a good lesson i guess. gg"
He seems sad in recent years. Maybe it's just a better mic that does a better job picking up his real voicr.
wow, a few minutes in and the explanation regarding the land choices is already educational
I had the same issue with my sideboard today. i wonder if it's just a known bug with the latest update
Indeed it is, it has been hard to brew in timeless
Wouldn't you still prefer Darkslick Shores over Concealed Courtyard since your early plays are mostly blue and black?
1 basic was definitely a pretty greedy mana base. Cool deck though, I like the new additions.
And no copies of the esper triome what can be picked up off a boseiju seems odd also
Reid (and others), would you ever consider cutting bats post board in a mirror. The strength of it curving into Raffine is silly, but i feel like it can run into the same issues as thoughtseize when you draw it late. Midrange mirrors in standard are almost guaranteed to be a grind fest.
Edit-tidebinder countering chapter 3 of kumano kills it, worth noting.
lol that one opponent giving the ol ggs when they attack while you still have 5 mana available and 4 cards in hand
Can't expect players going for a linear "I win" to think beyond resolving their "I win". Too bad that's only true in a vacuum.
Edit- that same player attacked into a free block while they were tapped out, LOL. Case in point.
@@brian742 oh I don't it's just funny when you are the opponent or cheering for their opponent.
looking forward to the deck guide!
I love how the two strongest creatures in standard right now are a two mana bat and cowbow bird wizard, both achieving the same result, not letting the enemy play the game.
A game with bat is almost guaranteed to be an actual match of MtG. It is interaction that can be undone later with any removal spell. It only stops you from playing if you put zero interaction in your deck or you draw very abnormally, which is an anomaly and likely lost cause regardless of bat.
Meanwhile, a game with the bird is one in which at least one player is trying to end things before meaningful decisions occur.
Lol, that thumbnail 😂
Hmm it felt like some of your opponents were a little bit less experienced in the game of magic which is fine we‘re all learning but I mean it for sure lessens the immersion a little bit if you see plays like forgetting an activated ability requires a tap and cannot be done on the turn the creature is played or jamming a pull into a Dennick.
Was a bit sad to see Jace in the thumbnail and have it be one copy that is always sided out and cast once the whole video.
Huh. I guess I will watch a standard video
Man bring back settle the wreckage we need to punish this perma spacebar meta.
This is a pretty low effort video, c'mon guys
