This guy knows his stuff very clever restorer
I love my M100. Great to see them getting some attention 🙂
Where are the full episodes? 😕
I think Ant is doing ok in his role. I think a great show would to have Ant and Edd doing work on cars and forget the game show host Mike.
just when I got comfortable with ant he leaves lol
Ed China es excelente mecánico pero Ant es de otra galaxia. Mis respetos 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Ant makes it look so easy. Keep up the good work
That's because he's not working on a vehicle that comes from a place that uses salt on its roads
Work on a real car. Come to wisconsin and buy something from here and work on it. We will see how good a mechanic you really are.
@@niteninja0133 Only a desperate classic car buyer would do that though. Don't you think?
Love all the videos where Mike is absent.
I agree with Jeff in Toronto. Paring up Ant and Ed would bring a good combination of talent to the show. Ive watched Wheeler Dealers for years. It wouldnt matter really who went out and bought the cars because the important basis of the show is done in the workshop. But to create the best effect you do need a DelBoy to go out and do the initial deal. Del Boy would never hack it on his own and the proof of that is evident of the past when car traders did little else other than wash and polish cars in the back streets and the condition of the cars then were exactly like the one on the Flintstones, with big holes in the floor. Times have changed though the dealers patter truely does live on !
The show belongs to "Del Boy" It is his show, he owns it. and Ed China would not work with either of them
Great to see an M100 on the show. The flattened exhaust seems like a bit of TV theatre though.
After doing some mild research the squashed exhaust being a factory 'fix' seems to be true.
@@MrSilnev That doesn't surprise me really. I remember on my series 2 Elise that Lotus thought it was a good idea to have to get a hex key set out every time you wanted to fill the washer bottles! :-)
My m100 that i had 12 years ago as a daily driver had the same scuashed exhaust.
@@MrSilnev Yes, the squish was designed to stop boost creep under prolonged full throttle. Remove the squish and you get more performance but the wastegate needs to be ported to ensure it can bypass the increased exhaust flow without causing the engine protection to cut in.
One of my motoring regrets was not buying a second hand Elan S2 ... was a bargain at the time $12,500
The Elan is still a beautiful car. Looks like a baby Lamborghini Diablo in some ways.
Ealn forever ~~~♡♡♡^^
Where I can find full episodes? Thanks...
That old exhaust does not look factory?
These shows have a great deal of "poetic licence" Also a great deal of the work is not done by Ant or was done by Ed
Where's the rest of the video?
The cool Lotus Elan. This supercar also called Kia Elan. 🏁🏆
Not sure what your point is? Wo owns Lamborghini? Who owns Ferrari?
@@Toby_the_Glen Both Lotus and Kia built the same sport car but in different locations and engine. The Lotus Elan has Isuzu Lotus DOHC 16 Valve engine and Kia Elan has Kia Hi sprint 16 Valve engine.
Basically like the Lotus 7 which Lotus sold to caterham, Lotus sold the M100 to Kia who continued to make them in Korea
Kia Elan were built in Korea and in the main stayed there as none came to the UK Only GM SE and 800 Bugatti S2 cars were built in Norwich
@@1183newman Bugatti sold the M100 to Kia after building 800 S2 cars in the UK
I was too late to get one. I moved to Romania 7 years ago, took my Elise (and integrale) with me. Out side a factory in Ploiesti there was an M100. By the time I found the name of the owner the car had already been bought, chopped and made into a sofa 😣
So why didn't they make the dowel out of the softer steel? Easy to replace a tiny dowel or even fashion one.
Because the cam shaft is hardened steel
I like to see him at work. Ant is cool !!!👍🏻😉😎😎😎
Swap out Mike for Ed.
This show needs Mike like a fish needs a bicycle.
The new guy is just as good as Edd, get over it
Hmmm, interesting to see how a tube bender can quite easily pay for itself by doing a few jobs.
Additionally, it will save an absolute fortune in not having to buy manufactured exhaust systems.
C'est un système qui fait allumage et injection
C O O L !
Crush is probably to pass emissions and it was a easy cheap hack
1989 may. 5
I prefer Ant.
Parts finder lotos
Too bad Ant could find a way to repair that part Wheeler Dealer style. Would be easy to drill and sleeve the hole for pennies. Copping out just asking for a new one is not the spirit of the show.
The common fix in the M100 community is to do exactly as you said, however, another part of this sensor goes bad and does require replacing. Maybe they neglected to mention this on purpose
Be safe you need gloves for welding also you removed the cover off the cut off wheel.
I think Ant is a decent host but I wish the guy would wear gloves.
I never use gloves working on cars, it's a pain in the arse
I always use gloves and I do it for a living.
Ant is ace
m100
Best ever, fwd car that was ever made?...Come on Mike, you need to get off the porky pies....hop into any late model hot hatch.
MIG welding an exhaust.. That's dirty, garbage squirt gun heroes..
Look at the kurved diameter. Ridiculous.
Twisty face smug cheshire cat.
lol

work on these cars is a skill. Working on your agriculture vehicles only needs a big hammer and a screwdriver
Ant ansted go home😠😠😠😠
Edd china go home loser
