Bridge to Nowhere: LA’s Most Popular Hike

- We finally hike to the Bridge to Nowhere, the most popular hike in Angeles National Forest (and a bungee jumping destination)! Built in 1936, the bridge was meant to connect the East Fork Road, but when the San Gabriel River flooded in 1938, the road was abandoned. You can now see remnants along the East Fork Trail! Andy nearly loses a drone; Brittany waits for a bus to nowhere.

We’re Brittany and Andy, a pair of weekend warriors exploring every inch of the backcountry within driving distance of our home in Los Angeles and beyond. Brittany is a reformed indoor kid who just recently took up backpacking; Andy is completely at home in the outdoors (and pretty much anywhere), but we’re both new to life in front of the camera. We don’t take ourselves too seriously, but we always strive to do two things: stay safe and leave no trace.

Yes it was! And same, loosing the drone is such a terrible fate lol.
Above Azusa, paradise, been here many times, ice cold water, clear as a bell, you can filter it but you don't need to, it's snowmelt and spring water from almost 11k ft peaks.
Love that feeling of ice cold water in a backcountry stream

Pretty cool spot to check out! Was a beautiful area and I find it interesting to see locations like those that have a little context to them! Cool to see the bridge still intact as well!
Ya it was a supper fun hike, and the bridge was pretty epic and very very well intact, so much so that people bungie jump off every weekend!!

Me and my brothers took this hike when there was nothing there but the trail and the bridge 83/84. Found out about it on PBS California Gold. When we went there was tiny fish in the stream. The Bridge was surprising clean and a hugh beehive underneath the bridge. big sucker. and bats at dusk, the time we got back to the car.

We do try pretty hard to avoid others on the trail. And actually for the back half of the hike we were the only ones there. I guess the only ones crazy enough to night hike it!! lol. Also..... Dream come true for us seeing the sheep in the wild!!!!

Good hike! Great that you had it all to yourselves. And very cool that you saw the sheep. I am curious how you like the Garmin Fenix specifically with following a map using the GPS. Is it easy to follow a topo map with good detail? I am considering getting it.
We both have the Fenix and LOVE it. It takes awhile to get used to how the menus work, but once you do, it's incredibly useful.
I was like "this is going too well" and then when it abruptly switched footage, I was like "and THERE IT IS!" 🤣 Seriously, fun video you guys! 💯
