I'm so glad you like my gift. The pleasure is in the creating as well as the gifting, and I always feel like some of that happiness is passed on also ❤ and to have your own just because pot is wonderful. Thank you, Christine xxx
Thank you beyond all words for the kindness you show and the joy you stitch into your bags. I’ve never felt so emotionally attached to a bag before 💚 And every time I draw a name I will think of you and your kindness and “pay it forward”☀️
Thank you Kristy - stitching with the rain outside is very relaxing (as long s it’s not crazy storms). I’ve had a crazy week work wise so I’m looking forward to catching up with your videos this weekend and all my other stitchy friends 🤗
Only you, Christine could look at a doily and see a butterfly! This was genius. I love how you wrapped the body too, it was the perfect compliment to the flutterby! And oh my goodness, that bag from Karen is gorgeous! I've seen a couple of her bags she's made people before and am always blown away by the craftmanship in her work. She does an amazing job and i know you will treasure it. Hope you have a good week! TFS 😊
Thank you so very much Helen - I really appreciate your kind words. I’ve been a bit flat out with work this week so a bit behind on sharing videos and responding to comments. Hope you’ve had a lovely week with some more stitching than I’ve managed. Cheers, Christine
Thank you Christine for your video and company while I practised some dyeing. That flutterby is gorgeous and will sit beautifully in your craft room alongside your cottage. What a glorious bag Karen has made, what kindness and talent is in our community. Glad you had a lovely break, although you kept us so entertained with videos. I went to my local garden centre to look at large pots for the garden and they were setting up the Christmas stuff. Honestly we still have Halloween and bonfire night to go. I feel we are being rushed through the months this year. Never mind onward and upward ,hugs to the handsome Travis.
It is crazy how the Christmas things appear so early. They have had mince pies in the shops for months now. I’ve so enjoyed using Karen’s bag this week when going into work. Travers sends a big tail wag and nose boop 🐾
Wow you doily butterfly is beautiful, I look forward to making one too Christine thank you for the lovely idea . Your happy mail bag is stunning what a wonderful gift ❤ xx
How clever you are to make a beautiful butterfly. Glad you had a great holiday. I must go looking in all the bed shops to see if I can find some lovely pillowcase.😊😊
The butterfly design is really clever. It’s looks really good. If you bend the tip of the wire inside the pipe cleaners back on itself, you’re less likely to catch it on thread or stab yourself - those wires are sharp! 🤣 I also talk to my work as I’m doing it - although it’s often swearing at it or calling it rude names when it doesn’t do what I tell it to! (Especially when I stab myself…) Watching while stitching another mystery. It’s very meditative. And that bag is just gorgeous! You have such creative and generous friends!
Good tip about bending the pipe cleaner! I enjoyed watching your video last night - I’m so bad at following popular culture like movies so not sure I will ever guess one of your mystery stories but I love watching you stitch and enjoy the chat 😆
For this prompt I think I’m going to embroider a butterfly similar to the one you did on your “butterflies are self propelled flowers” piece. I love the combination of flowers and butterfly wings.
Beautiful butterfly, such a delight to watch. Busy doing a little knitting today yep started on my other daughter’s jacket/cardie having a blast. Aww Karen’s present is wonderful, such lovely fabrics and those butterflies are so delicate and pretty too. Have a great weekend. I am of gonna organise a project also drop in a painting for matting (Annie is going to give away at her next live eekk just to NZ and Aussie mind ) gosh bit busy but that’s how I like my Saturdays. Aww found the perfect duvet cover so I am thrilled yep watch out world here I come stitching a lovely handmade snuggle rug, lol.
You’re doing a great job with that cardie - your daughters are so lucky to get hand knitted goodies. I still have a poncho that Mum made when I was little using wool she spun and then weaved on her loom and then stitched into a poncho. It’s very precious to me. Mum doesn’t do any of that anymore - her garden gets most of her attention as she has very green thumbs. Cheers, Christine
@@createandcraftwithchristine wish I had your mums talent in the gardens, mine are in a right mess, mind it’s rained straight for four weeks, also got quite a dumping of snow that was exciting, yep me gardens looked good that day, lol today sun is out and sigh so are me weeds. Ground is supper wet not a great day to sit and pull weeds this is my excuse so going to stick with it. Wonder if I can talk my mum coming down for a visit, she would have my gardens in tip top condition in less than a week ….. um think this could be elder abuse so better not …. I am ssoooo tempted though. Mind if she comes for a visit I go crazy 🤪 in the gardens maybe I should trick myself into thinking she is coming. lol
Hi Christine. Yes it poured yesterday afternoon but we have been rewarded with a beautiful Thursday. It was such a magical way the doilies took shape into a butterfly. When you mentioned coming through the city on the way home, we always come home through Yarra Glen. A much quieter and prettier drive. The beautiful bag from Karen is a real treasure. It looks so very personally made for you. Take care xx
Oh yes, the back way is far more beautiful! My parents are in East Malvern and I had some frozen fresh pies from Bright pies to drop off to them so had to come the less scenic route. Cheers, Christine
