    Great information! Excited to utilize the spreadsheet. I’m very new, actually still waiting on my MT1502 to be delivered. 😂 Pricing is something I worry about undercharging, this will help me avoid that. Thank you. Love the colors behind you on your video. I also admire your embroidery work. Looking forward to learning more from you.

    Hi Cory, Good video, please turn up your volume in your mic. I downloaded the pricing calculator but couldn't get it to open. I also subscribed, so keep it up!

    New Sub.
    Very interested in your ZSK, I have two single heads, Barudan Pro3 and a 2014 Tajima 15 needle, which actually stitches better than my Barudan. I am intrigued with the ZSK.
    Thanks

      The ZSKs have been workhorses. They run great at high speeds and minimal maintenance. A lot of "small" features are great too, like the open presser foot, electronic presser foot adjustments and a bunch of other features that I have come to love!

    How would you price the embroidery if someone brings you a shirt with the Logo on left chest and name going down the sleeve? I don't have any idea what the stitch count is.

    • @CoreyPendergraft
      @CoreyPendergraft  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I price everything on time. You’ll have to figure out what hourly rate makes sense to you and what equipment you run. If you take customer supplied items I would charge extra and with the understanding that you’re not responsible to replace the garment should anything happen during the decorating process.

    I looked in the description and was unable to find the calculator. Also what about a setup charge? How do you calculate that?

    • @CoreyPendergraft
      @CoreyPendergraft  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Your "setup" charge will depend on your needs. Are you outsourcing the digitizing, doing it yourself, etc. What is the time worth if you know how or do the design setup yourself or is it more cost/time effective to outsource and up charge your customer.

    In your embroidery calculator you ask about number of heads, do you mean needles?

    • @CoreyPendergraft
      @CoreyPendergraft  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, the number of heads. Number of needles on a machine only accounts for the number of colors you can run per design. If you had multiple "heads" of embroidery (whether that be two single head machines or a 4 or 6 head machine) you are able to load multiple substrates at one time thus outputting 2x, 4x, 6x in the same time a single head machine would produce the order. While the multi-head machines are more expensive, the cost per head goes down considerably and your output can be multiplied without needing additional operators.

    What is a trim? Where do you add in the cost of stabilizer, thread, etc? TY

    • @CoreyPendergraft
      @CoreyPendergraft  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The cost of consumables are so low that those costs should be absorbed in the hourly rate. A trim is when the machine stops to cut the thread or move to a new color, thus taking slightly more time than figuring out the total number of stitches and how fast you run your machine. Each one of those trims roughly equate to 250 stitches of run time.

    How about if you have to do a bulk number like 50ea

    • @CoreyPendergraft
      @CoreyPendergraft  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You could handle bulk orders by making your hourly less or if you had multiple heads your pricing would naturally be reduced due to the volume you would be able to produce.

    I'm not a pro at this, but I wouldn't drop the price per number of heads. The number of heads you have is not relevant to the customer. I understand your cost per hour idea, but more heads also require more space, more investment and therefore more overhead. I would consider whether your shop can handle the job with the number of heads you have to be more relevant, and if not, pass it along to a bigger shop that would be able to price it better. Most shops are not going to drop the price that drastically for 2-3 caps or even 12, so you're really cutting your bottom line here.

    • @CoreyPendergraft
      @CoreyPendergraft  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You would increase the hourly rate for all your combined heads to counteract the pricing “reduction”. More investment in machines warrants a higher price per hour based on the number of heads you operate. You’re just able to turn around the jobs much quicker with more heads.
