Getting ready to do my 2005. I have a banks dif cover and use ames oil gear oil. The only thing I would do different is raising the side I'm working on higher, clean everything well and soak gear oil on the bearings and associated components. Am I wrong?
I can not understand why certain want to grease the wheel bearing. They are gear oil lubed and the that you use contaminate the gear oil. Gear oil is designed with certain additives to work with differential. Especially if you have minimal slip. Grease will hurt the bearing.
@@InsightLandCare I like the short and to-the-point video instead of all the extra babbling a lot of folks do in their videos. But you could have answered the guys question about the size socket easier than the reply you gave him instead of telling him to use a hours worth of his data just to get the size. Though if you can't figure out the size pretty quick you shouldn't be doing this job anyway. But that's not the point, been cool to have a simple answer to a simple question.
Doing mine tomorrow and the Skyrim clip got me so bad😂
Thanks for the video my guy.
Muchas gracias!! Amigo very helpful!!

Check out the description for the full length video and you can do do this job many ways, there are plenty of ways to skin a cat.
Could I get by with only changing the pads once?
Change the rotor next time or will the performance be impacted too much?
You don't need to swap everything, there are minimum specs, measure and replace if out of tolerance.

Ya let's drive the truck with dry bearings before the gear oil makes it to them. Sounds like a good idea

Hi do I have to replace the oil sea too?
You are already there and it's only a few dollars. Might as well.
Good job 👍
Do u need to put a sealer on the hub cap before reinstalling
Look below the video in the description for the long video covering the procedure, if you mean the axle, there is a paper gasket.
Is this the same for a 2008 HD drw?
Maybe? I've only worked on a 2014. If it looks similar you can use it as a guide. Check the description for the full length video.
Pain in the butt just to change the rotors. I have to put rear pads on mine this week.
A bro you the Shiit !
Torque specs would be nice.
