Ma'am when we says that atom don't exist independently except noble gases so how someone could measure the mass of 1 atom in the respect of 1/12 of C-12 Ma'am please figure me out... And one more thing Why we multiple 1/12 part of C-12 to 12 in the Relative mass concept.... If someone is aware about it so, please let me know...
ma'am I have a doubt that, like you said all things around us are made up of matter and so we are as we occupy space and have mass and you also said that all matter is made up of more smaller units called atoms, but my question is that HOW CAN HUMAN BEINGS BE MADE UP OF ATOMS? as we are MADE UP OF CELLS.

DOUBT- If acc. to Dalton theory ratio of masses will b in whole no. Then why we have chlorine's mass to be 35.5? That's not a whole No.
It's the average mass. Because of isotope.

DOUT :- how to know valency of compound is +ve or -ve
same dout
same bro
By doing electronic configuration of that element
If the element is losing electrons, then valency will be positive
If the element has to gain electrons to become stable then it's valency will be negative
