omg tysm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't figure out why other people were getting such smooth top faces on multi colors, and the trick is to flip it! I feel so stupid!
Thanks for this tutorial. I’ve watched several on creating multi colour prints but yours is the most concise and easy to follow I’ve come across. Great job.👍
Normally trying to follow a TH-cam video for this kind of stuff is a pain for me to learn from. You definitely make it easy for me to follow and absorb. Thank you for this!! Can't wait to get out of work and start some new projects now!
This is an extremely helpful video. Very concise. As someone who knows how to use CAD and cura but is new to the bamboo ecosystem this had exactly the information I wanted.
Same! I was asked by someone in my office to turn our logo into a coaster and while I'm super techy, this was a helpful video for this process that has had me stumbling all over!
Really nice tutorial, i saw many videos of people trying to convince me using the color painting tool in Bambu Slicer which is in my opinion really messy. Your procedure is way more easy
Hi Can you make another video and tell us how you like Onewheel and what about the battery? I watched your videos a lot of useful information, did not expect to see vyper myself now I use it, modified it with 3D?
Thank you for this great video. It was only after watching the video that I realized that I was making a mistake every time I exported and then the multicolor print didn't work.
I have tried this step by step. fusion won't let me -3mm extrude. I get an error " There was a problem combining geometry together. If a Join/Cut/Intersect, try to ensure that the bodies have a clear overlap (problems can occur where faces and edges are nearly coincident)."
I’ve created a file in affinity but when I export to SVG fusion days it’s an unsupported file type, it shows as a html file on the windows file manager. Can anyone help?
i have tried for the last hour, can not get this to work. I get to the point of -3 and when i hit ok it makes 1 solid shape out of the background layer and the image inside is gone.
Amazing video!`However, I could NEVER get Affinity Designer to properly save the SVG file so that Fusion 360 would open it without any errors! 🤔😡 But, finally overcame that problem by using Adobe Illustrator. I was trying to get around not purchasing AI. But, I guess since i plan to make money, I now consider it a worthy investment and thanks to your video, I plan to make a LOT of money selling my designs. Thank you so much again!
I hate Fusion 360. Tried for a year to learn it, fighting how my brain works to try to force my creative process into Fusion 360's workflow. I could never get it. I'd always assemble things such that when I needed to go back and change parameters, it would break the entire model. Need a tool that conforms to the user, not one that expects the user to conform to it. Plus, have you ever imported a stl into Fusion 360 to edit and re-export? It's the most unnecessarily convoluted process in the cosmos.
Sorry if the resolution is a bit high in the screen capture and the text is a bit small in the programs.

This was the easiest and most dynamic solution to multicolored prints like these. Thank you!
i've always been curious about how some multicolour prints are seperated. wonderful explanation!
Glad it was helpful!
Great easy to follow instructions! I knew I was missing something "simple" and you pointed out all the little things a person might overlook.

I'm very new to 3d printing and this video gives me a solution to one of the big issues I was wondering about. Thank you for this wonderful tutorial.

I have heaps of Tech experience, but no 3D printing. This went at the perfect pace without the fluff

Thanks a lot, Andrew. This was really helpful and I appreciate your time explaining all the details without skipping parts.

Thank you for Video! Been looking on how to do this, didn’t think of 3MF type,
Very good video! Thank you. Now I know how to make multi color models.

Thanks a lot finally works 🙌🏼
How do you get the coaster edges to have such round edges from Inkscape? Mine come rough

You can save 3 stl files. Import. Then click combine

Why did you extrude cat down then back up?
It was to allow him to re-extrude on the face of it.
No need to extrude down then back up. I just extrude each color up 1mm.
You managed to show the basics.
mouse pointer too small
Education is too fast!
Thanks!

Have you tried plasticity?
@@Lars-ti7ne I was about to suggest plasticity
I was able to learn fusion in 6-8 months and it’s such a great software for both designing and manufacturing.
