    He was unlucky to walk into the chaos at Chelsea that crazy season. He had an enormous bloated squad full of factions and disaffected mercenaries, with a dressing room too small to fit them all in. I don’t think his time at Chelsea is true reflection of him as a coach. Yes he fudged it in the post match interviews with ‘the boys did well’ whenever we lost, but he’s clearly a talented coach. He turned Brighton into a real force after they’d spent years under Houghton barely staying up with horrible football. I do wish people in this would stop mickey taking with our English coaches. It’s shameful and disgraceful. People should give him more support and wish to see him do well. There’s a nastiness in our culture that doesn’t exist in Spain, Italy, Germany. We worship Guardiola and Klopp like gods, then treat English coaches to the Graham Taylor ‘turnip’ treatment. It’s bigotry actually.

    • @dorualex3092
      @dorualex3092 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      thats what you think EVEN IF There was no "chaos" at Chelsea he still wouldnt be able to do well imo, he doesnt have that manager level that Chelsea needed, a step too big from brighton to chelsea but ofc we cant blame him for taking the job. Even now with Enzo Maresca like ok he did very well but in championship its a big gamble again imo Todd Boehly idk if it knows what hes doing, you wouldnt see these managers hired by Abramovich i believe, abramovich hired lampard cus he has too much respect for lampard for the player he was and his character but ofc Lampard lucks experience and in no life you will do well at big clubs if you dont have experience before at managing big clubs, total different pressure to manage Chelsea than Brighton or Everton, im i rem good Lampard did bad even at Everton were is lower pressure compared to Chelsea

      And the current Spain manager never managed in club football, his biggest club job was youth/development coach for Bilbao.
      The current Argentina coach has only ever managed Argentina at U18 and senior level
      International football and club football require completely different skill sets. You can’t judge a managers potential for success on their club football management.

    It seems inevitable. He even looks a bit like Southgate’s slightly better looking younger brother. However, I look at him and ask myself the question: Can he win a major tournament for England?🤔 (P.S. He’s 49; this makes it even _more_ inevitable. Never underestimate the power of the 7 in _everyone’s_ lives. When you get a 7 x 7 that just increases its power. If you haven’t already done so, put a generous amount of money on Potter and you’ll get a sweet return if you’re brave.)
