As someone who helped contribute to your headache, I would say prioritize your collection. I sent a few sets for y'all to enjoy, now that maybe means selling that stuff to buy new stuff or contributing that $ to a Clark future fund. I had to recently go through my collection and downsize and it was terrible, but I kept the sets that stayed inline with my interests and I felt were worth holding onto for future investments. Just some thoughts that helped me justify my downsizing, hope you get through this stage of your journey....
Please tell me we actually built and made videos on the items you sent! That’s the hardest part for me is that we have so many things that people send stuff that while very much appreciated, gets pushed off and that makes me feel bad. I like your strategy and think it’s a good plan. I will keep posting updates and showing my progress.
@@brickitect I sent Clark the speed champions set of the Mini Coopers and some other things. I can imagine it's overwhelming at times having others contribute to the madness, I do well getting overwhelmed on my own...lol

These are some of my favorite kinds of videos, I have a lot of trouble downsizing/selling stuff as well but what usually helps me is to think “If I don’t get rid of this what is it going to do… Will I enjoy it? or will it sit in the closet for the rest of my life…” and if the answer is sit in a closet, I find it easier to sell or get rid of
That was one of the best things ever. Wasn't even all that enthralled by much from the box, but just the best vibe.

Hey my friend, I know it feels overwhelming but it's just another adventure to go on to get organized. I didn't mention this before but I could hold onto your boxes for you. Just in case you would ever need one back. But of course you pick what you want to keep at your place. Just an offer for a dear friend. Maybe my girlfriend and I could come see you sometime this summer and then I would just haul them back. Or I'd help ya with the shipping. Looks like you have a treasure trove of awesome sets. Glad you're doing something about the stash of boxes! One at a time. I definitely get rid of my extra xtra polybags (heh) and DOTS packs as soon as I open them, no need for more than one. However... I haven't done the same with my Mario Character Packs. I have no idea why.

Yeah its always kind of fun going through your stuff and remembering where you got it or who gave it to you or just where it came from in general and reminiscing over the nostalgia or memories that came with it.

I really like video's like these. when I see what is in your box I get ideas to sell some stuff because I also have a box like that! That's the life of a lego collector. Your storage room looks awsome a lot of sets I wouldn't want to sell. Maybe sell some uded polybags on the garage sale.
Actually found my first pop corn cart at a toy fair the other week. Very excited! Heh heh heh

Omg THANK YOU for sharing this stuff, makes me feel like a little less of a freak- I really need to go thru a lot of the sets I bought “on clearance, for parts”- half of my stuff is at one house, half at the other- worst part is, I’ve got some sets I’ve bought multiples of to build larger versions- and one set is here, another is 40 something mins away- I was *supposed* to move today- but that got pushed to tomorrow. I’m going to post it here so I know I’m holding myself accountable- NEXT TIME YOU LIVESTREAM A PART OUT SESSION, I will be there PARTING OUT MY CRAP! ok. Now watch me find you just did one like, this morning. Lol. Anyway, the next part out session, I will be there. Nice job, it’s always a mess before it gets better- I tried explaining that to someone bc I had stuff in piles everywhere & I was tripping over it all & I was like “IVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR 8 HOURS!” And it got better- didn’t look better, but stuff “got done”, I feel like if you’re a lego collector, you just understand that part at least. Lol. Omg, I’ve got so much to do. So many drawers to buy, I need a table, I need shelving, I’m gonna need a job just to afford THAT crap lol.. this was fun! Thanks! 🤣

It’s so much fun to look back into the past…then realize you don’t need to hold onto so much stuff.
I’ve never understood the mindset that some have of saving boxes, or saving unopened sets for later. I’ve bought some retired sets, so the second part I appreciate.

As someone who has sent stuff to mealtime, my view is that anything I sent was yours to do whatever you want with the moment it left my hands...
My goal is to share it and show appreciation. The problem is that many of the items got put aside and forgotten. That just isn't respectful of the sender or their kindness.

I say prioritize your collection stop by duplicate sets even if you find them at a yard sale for a good price if you already have it it’s not worth buying a second one.

I think the gumballs were for a little gumball machine you got at a yard sale the summer before you moved into your new house lol. I could be wrong though.

Hey Greg, I’m a new subscriber and have been going through your videos randomly. I really love the channel. You and Clark man are trip, lol. What did you end up doing with those Series 19 and Batman CMF bags? Would love to buy them. I’m a recent CMF collector and missed out on those. Just randomly trying to get what I can.

I call my room of Doom , my shame closest .I got that name from the Izzys. I have 2 off them. About once every 3 or 4 months, I keep saying I am going to go through it and give stuff away. I never get past 3 boxes because I can't bring myself to give anything away. Built the boot lego and make a video maybe just one video with all the sets. Eat the old gummies. I watch a TH-cam channel were the person opens and tries decade's old food.
I like the shame closet haha. I will be working my way through all this stuff and sharing it all.
