Wait, isn't that what you're supposed to do in sims?? First thing I do in sims is stuff that's very much frowned upon in RL... Fly under bridges, Street level flying.. fly through barns/tunnels etc... That's kinda the fun in sims... actions have little to no consequences... Bin it, reset, start over... In stead of: Bin it, costly cleanup, flying days are over...
How does the plane know where it is?

Just want to say well done to all the individuals which spent months working on this multiplayer mod.
You can actually put an AIM-9 on headtrack mode, and get it to lock onto an incoming missile, and it'll shoot it down some 80% of the time. Great for defense in the big Osprey thing, since it's not very maneuverable. I think it's actually a proximity fuse, not an actual collision.
you can also lock onto missiles via radar
Any way to improve the render distance for this mod? Cant see past like .5 miles

Flying games are the BEST genre for VR games right now, it works so damn well
Which is why Star Wars Squadrons is centered around being VR, same for MSF2020.
Sadly MSFS is not centered around VR at all. Hope it will come and that their implementation will be good.

@Sulaiman Kaita you are able to disable the flares and chaff in this aircraft with a switch. You can have one on, one off, or both off or both on
@@sule.A You can choose what CM's to launch, but usually it's easier to keep both on, because it can be fiddly to get to the switches while being shot at.
You can also change the CM launch rates.

Hey Drewski you can config your AIRS-T and AIM9 missiles for the lock-on circle to follow your vision (when using visor) when you look around for some sick off-bore fox 2s
I would like to note that this feature is not actually in the game. It's a mod you have to download.

For one you should do this again, they have fixed basically every issue you had, but also, with the AIRS-T (and also aim9's) you can configure the seaker mode to be slaved to your head, allowing both easier targeting, and allowing them to be fired in more dynamic situations. Should def do more of these videos, they are tons of fun to watch

Woa, MP mod. Noice. Can you make co-op missions and fly them? Or is it just a PVP arena?
The MP mod will work on any custom mission with some caviats (if there is no enemy base spawning as an enemy wont work, especially large missions wilk have very high system requirements)
Thats a shame. Lets hope BD gets the MP functionality in the base game soon then. I'm a sucker for coop. Also need some more ground targets and better ways to designate buildings as targets for missions.

The control you have in this sim is special. I can’t make the planes fly like that.
The RWR worked just fine. Its that when the missile goes pitbull it will focus all its radar power in one area eg. the plane. So it will only get the beep beep which is every time enemy radar beam hits RWR sensor. Plus it only has sensors on the sides not on bottom or top.
I decided to buy this game after watching your videos, and it was only after takeoff I remembered: I have a fear of heights, and flying gives me motion sickness. 10/10 game would recommend

Its a great mod and still in very early stages soo it's a tad buggy with Radar and hit detection. But they are working tirelessly on this little project.

i dont think rwr is bugged, right when clutch screamed the voice said "pitbul". im sure you know what that means so im not going to bother explaining it
Also due to how VTOL VR handles the RWR if you are on the same team the RWR wont tell you if they are locking/pinging you. But as son as the missile went pitbull the RWR detected a missiles radar and started beeping. If they where on opposite teams it wouldnt have happened

Assuming that clutch got a launch warning when the missile went pitbul that would be accurate in TWS mode clutch wouldn't get a lock or a launch warning he would only get a search tone until the missile pitbul
@@doomboygammer6009 AMRAAMs are active, will get a ping on RWR when radar locked, won't get missile warning until AMRAAM goes pitbull, and it's PRETTY MUCH too late by that point. Edited for brevity, active, not semi-active as previously stated.

Hey Drew, I didn't know if you knew this, but if you enter the weapon management page for the F/A-26 and the F-45, you can change the tracking mode for the heat seekers to head tracking.

like discord, voice mod, google, and the game i'm playing, not to even mention how Microsoft usually already runs at a high CPU because its so inefficient

He should have an RWR from your lock, but if the game has some sort of TWS mode, he will not get a missile launch notice until you hear that pitbull notif that she says. That's the missile using its onboard radar to fly the final stretch of distance to the target. I'm assuming all of the missiles are launched in TWS in this game tbh.

Drewski- my buddy just barely got this game and learned how to fly so I figured I would shoot him down 10x times.
I will forever call this the "Jim Leahy" episode. May he RIP.
BTW, at 9:18, that was the most virtually awesome (and expensive) high five in aviation history.
