on the particle dissolve how do i get the finished dissolve text to show over my clip in premiere pro? do i need to export it in After effects as something?
This is really amazing, I wanted to use this effect for so long and spent hours watching tutorials that used plugins that I had to download and learn, like trapcode form or particle, not to mention those videos were 20 or 30 minutes long, and the particles ended up moving all around but they never dissolved like this which is what I wanted, I finally came up to this video, so easy to understand, no plugins needed, and doesn't take much for my computer to load, I really want to thank you friend :)

At 1:36 after I pull the CC Composite layer above the particle one, it doesn't actually change the way that particle effect stays in a box. Any ideas? Thanks Ryan for making this!

You are a great teacher much better than another dissolve tutorial. So how do you get rid of the black behind the letters in a render. I know that is a dumb question its been so long since Ive done after affects but Im back.

When I added the composite, then placed it right about the Particle Systems it didn't do anything. How do I make the particles not be contained to the box at this point?

Tried this out and worked perfect. Now when retry this I select the "source alpha inherit" and my particles dissapear through whole timeline. ANY suggestions.? Appreciate the videos - keep up great work
Great video man! Only problem i have it's when i add the particul cc, my text disappear do you know why? And so when i continu the process, with the source Alpha Inerit, it won't do anything... can't understand why my text is disappearing...

Not sure if you ever figured it out, but to anybody having the same issue "CC Composite" no longer works this way. Instead use "Calculations"

You could always pre-comp your text layer to skip adding it all together.
