- Have you ever wondered what the Whole Foods Hot Bar tastes like? I have, and today I found out! I usually grocery shop at Whole Foods and I have always walked by the hot bar and wondered what it was like. Usually, everything looks delicious and smells delicious but I have a general hesitation about eating at hot bars. I did taste test Erewhon's hot bar recently, but their food is prepared by staff! However, today was the day I got the courage to taste test some of the most delicious items from the Whole Foods Hot Bar.

A lot of the female food content creators are always getting comments saying they don't swallow the food. People are weird.
I make silly tiktoks where I say cheers gurl and take a sip at the end. And I continually have to refilm them because if you actually gulp the drink, it sounds so unappealing.
I've gotten this so many times its insane. Now that you mention it in this context, it makes me wonder if there's something weirdly sexual to it? ick

Like why do you want to watch someone chew & swallow? It's weird. Food content is normally to get their opinions on the food not to watch people eat. The creators just edit out the unnecessary stuff🤷

I think males like watching females "swallow" cause for some it is sexual cause it reminds them when they swallow the "white stuff" from down under on males

My hands down favorite dessert ever is from whole foods- they have a cheesecake with cake layered on top of it and truly, it isn't overtly decadent as it may sound. it's SO GOOD.
My favorite is when they have the Mediterranean theme with dips and grape leaves and falafel. I used to schedule my cheat meal there and get a bunch of veggies and a few bites of heavier things from the hot bar.
For breakfast, they used to be stocked with items before the 2020 thing, but switched to wrapped sandwiches after. The one I had was great on a brioche roll but it was over $7. I don't remember a biscuit option, but that looks pretty darn good.
The whole foods by me is actually the only one for a 100 mile radius, possibly more in some directions. I wonder how different things would be now there from what you have in the video here 🤔
They had the Mediterranean bar there!!! It looked so fresh!!! I feel like the cheat code is to load up on the more pricy items and sub in cheaper things that you buy in the store. I.e...avoiding sauces from the bar itself and buying a tub of dip/hummus from the actual store

I haven’t been to the Whole Foods hot bar in forever! I grew up walking distance from one and it was such a life saver for the nights when we didn’t have something at home or it was too late to make dinner. I loved the mashed potatoes and all of the roasted veggies, SO good! I would love to see another video of you doing this again, that’d be fun to watch.

I actually like the Whole Foods hot/salad bar but that’s mostly because I travel a lot for my job and it’s just easy for lunch. I didn’t even know they had a coffee bar though! And yes TTPD has been on repeat, I don’t care what the critics or anyone says, this album is amazing. Midnights wasn’t really my cup of tea but TTPD has taken a hold of my life.
It's VERY convenient and I have shopped at WF for years and never tried it, so I feel like it's going to become a great "go to" option for those weeks when I am too busy to cook!! And you HAVE to try their coffee. It's actually really good! I also think it was going viral on TT!

I love whole foods hot bar!! Sweet potatoes, mushrooms, steamed broccoli, brown rice and purple olives. Side of garbonzo ❤ The corn and arugula salad and fingerling potatoes behind the class service area are really good too!

@@ErinRobinson i avoid cheese because it makes me have to clear my throat too much, as a performer girly for kids events, Elsa and Ariel or Barbie, girlie pop can't be clearing her throat all the time. The kiddos I nanny LOVE it! I've only heard good things. Im telling you the whole foods hot bar is a form of self care. The green dream fresh juice they make at the juice bar station always gives me more energy. Would be fun to do a Erewhon vs. Whole foods hot bar taste test. Im not allowed in Erewhon in this inflated climate, not until i manifest more abundance! Errrrr--- where's all my money whon! The gauc at whole foods and quinoa at the hb is soooooooooo good. Like a hug. Sol at Runway playa vista has AMAZING gauc! I work to buy guacamole! Guac taste test!
I soooo miss having a Whole Foods near me! 20 years ago when I was pregnant with my son Whole Foods cornbread and the fresh sushi was my favorite! And yes sometimes I would eat them together lol

The hot bar (and the unlimited access I had to the coffee bar) is the only reason I miss working at whole foods 🥲 thanksgiving food in November was my favorite. The breakfast was always good.

Thank you for being the FIRST TH-camr to do a REAL 24 Hour food review. All the ones I've ever watched are 12 hour (or less) and it gets in my craw that they call it 24 hour.
I did get enough food to do like 30 hours but felt like it might have been overkill LOL!!

@@ErinRobinson Hi! WF has Major Grey Mango Chutney in the grocery aisle. Also found at Trader Joes. If you have an Indian Grocery Store nearby, you can find authentic coriander chutney in a bottle. The best!! And ketchup works well too...just sayin'! 😊

There’s a local Seattle area food co-op called PCC Market that has the very best hot bar/ soup bar / salad bar / bakery etc. Love it!!!

This would be a great series to compare places with ready made stuff. Don't know what you have in LA, but places like Costco/Publix/Kroger. Any groceries tbh.

I used to not balk at open buffets. Post Covid, I don’t think that I’ve eaten at one. I also avoid public restrooms when possible. So that’s just me. Love your channel. I would like to see more Whole Food videos. I used to get made to order pizzas there, don’t know if that’s still a thing. Also they used to have a deli that made sandwiches. Unfortunately, my small Midwestern/Ohio valley town does not have a Whole Foods. That would be the reason, since moving, I haven’t been to one of their stores. Keep up the good work, dare I say excellent?

I am amazed how large the cake slice is! 🙀 That is massive for the price. As for other hot bars, I was going to say Wegmans, but that is an East Coast store. Next time you are in North Carolina you have to do it!
I occasionally go to Whole Foods where I live now. It was WAY better in Canada though. Like not even comparable. Hot bar tip: Always always take the food from the back of the tray after you’ve dug up the top and tossed it aside (neatly) 😂🤷🏻♀️

Hi!!!! Same, I didn't like it the first couple of times but I bought BOTH versions (before I knew there was going to be a second one) so I have forced myself to listen to it more than once and I think it has taken four listens to finally feel like I like it!

@@ErinRobinson yes! Regular to vegan and I think even gluten free crust. And I live in an area with one newer Whole Foods and it’s a large area for the food bar and pizzas 🫶🏻
I actually like the hot bar! Maybe because it's just open access to food but I don't think too hard about whose around it. To that, it's Whole Foods; they are pretty consistent with high quality food, I trust them more than I would anywhere else. And I guess, too, if you think about it, it's essentially a buffet... oh I see what the issue is. LMAO
Down here in South Florida, the hot bar Indian and Jamaican tasty, don't sleep on the cookie bar!
They keep it pretty clean at whole foods. They even shut it down during 2 years of the pandemic. When they felt safe to do so, they reopened that option. Only serve yourself place I'll eat from. They are policing their plasticwear so no tasters in hotbar. I question myself sometimes but then i think of how things arent super tasty and nutritious when i attempt to cook. Plus dishes, and if you work from home, it effects your workflow for me sometimes having the extra clutter. Rainbow Acres is pretty good too. They have AMAZING guacamole!
Yes! I think there is a payoff with trading your time for meal prep but sometimes you just don't have the time to do it! I can see this becoming a great fallback option!

I’ve said in a past comment WF is my go to. And usually a little less processed than anything else I can find for a quick lunch in my city.
I worked at whole foods. Most of it on the hot bar comes frozen or premade and it gets heated up (microwaved) with the sauce poured over it at the store. Only the uncooked food is fresh.
Try the Broccoli Crunch Salad. It is sooooooo goood. Their custom sandwiches are good too.
I agree with not liking things where other people just put their hands in.

Love me the Canadian Whole Foods Hot Bar. Delicious, worldly, healthy- yum (and I love all the local selections). However, I live on Vancouver Island where everything is expensive and whole foods shows up for that. A boxed meal for dinner the size you had would be $30 here. So, its a nice treat but not every day.
I get the ick from thinking of all of the cross contamination and don’t eat from hot bars, salad bars.

When I had whole food near me I use to get their salad bar and sushi. I have also tried there hot bar. It was not 11.99 lb, like now. That price is crazy high ( I was thinking 7.99 is high at other grocery stores)!! I would love to know how much you spent for each meal. That can add up really fast when it is by the lb.!!😊
