What a delightfully sophisticated work in its forms and themes. A piece that made me stop everything and intently listen whilst reading the lady's biography. No wonder when this lady had been exposed to so many significant composers of her time. The "Dona Nobis Pacem" must be heard again and again. To my delight, I found that Charles Burney spent one good chapter to describe Marianne Martines and how wonderfully talented she was. He very highly praised her and her name appears number of times after the chapter. I tell you, there are not many women musicians who made " Dr. Burney's Musical Tours in Europe. " 💪 Happy birthday! 💐
