If there is anything in this world which can help me 'buy' peace of mind without spending even a penny ,it is music - charming music. Accordingly, I owe my gratitude to the new ( to me) composer and Pau NG.Thanks. It's incredible that the fantastic music/songs were born in the mind of such a young man!
There really isn't much I have to add to all of the comments below praising this Mass, its composer and your website for introducing us to so many relatively unknown, but nevertheless great talents, such as Father Amandus. Thank you once again, Pau N. G, for providing an aural oasis in the midst of the musical desert known as modern music!

I weep and smile at the same time, its not just the music, life is the most amazing gift, the music is a reminder, a moment of unencumbered joy, a chance to step away and observe, reestablish a connection with the infinite, align with universal machinations, see things as they are perhaps, just for a moment, but it lingers. Its been a long day here on Earth, spinning, circling, chasing the sun as it journeys through the cosmos. Take a break, breath, don’t forget to breath.
Excellent work and quite ahead of time (written one year before WA Mozart was born but already stylistically akin youth sacred music of WAM). First or maybe second work I listen by Ivanschiz. This one is absolutely worth the average caliber work of both Haydn brothers sacred music (thus very highly worth)
I wonder how he was able to write such a wonderful music with a short lifespan... What a great composer, crucial reference for the later viennese classical school! Of course, Haydn and Mozart too!
Interesting. I thought that the music of both Haydns was worth the average caliber of Amandus (thus very highly worth). We need to discuss this. Amandus studied in Rome for years and learned it all from the Italians. That explains it. And probably most from the Neapolitans.
Amandus Ivanschiz was a perinatal pre-classical composer who, if long-lived, would probably have made a name for himself in history. This work is warm and elegant music, and I think it is similar to the religious music of early classical composers such as Johann Baptist Wanhal, who is about a generation later. It can be said that it is a work that should represent an era that is not inferior to the religious music of the same era.
Thanks for posting this, beautiful Missa (ex C) à 4 voci (c.1755). You say: "The trios, entitled variously ‘Divertimento’, ‘Nocturno’, ‘Sinfonia’, ‘Sonata’ and ‘Parthia’..." „Nocturno“? John Field (1782 - 1837) Field is best known as the inventor of nocturnes.
Not really. John Field was the inventor of piano nocturnes but before the term "notturno (nocturno)" is pretty common as a chamber composition. Some examples: Francesco Saverio Agostinello (1741-1809) - Notturni Per due Flauti Traversieri opac.rism.info/search?id=850770099&View=rism Karl Gewey (18th Century) - Notturno in C a Violino Solo, Fagotto Solo, Viola Solo, Corno Secondo [!] e Violone. opac.rism.info/search?id=553006519&View=rism Giovanni Paisiello (1740-1816) - Notturno. per due flauti e Basso opac.rism.info/search?id=806042373&View=rism Domenico Ferrari (1722-1780) - Notturno del Sig:r Domenico | Ferrari opac.rism.info/search?id=116281&View=rism Giovanni Battista Fenoglio (18th Century) - Notturno in G major opac.rism.info/search?id=1001137057&View=rism Domenico Ferrari (1722-1780) - Andante è Notturno | Con Violini è Due Oboe Obligati con Corni da | Caccia è Basso opac.rism.info/search?id=850001733&View=rism Johan Henrik Freithof (1713-1767) - Notturno a Tre opac.rism.info/search?id=190010937&View=rism Michael Haydn (1737-1806) - Notturno: | a 5. | 2: Violini: | 2. @@Reciclassicat Thank you for this answer, I will have a lot of material to listen to (otherwise I like to listen to these composers, and I have never listened to those Nocturnos). Because of Chopin's nocturnos, I learned that Field was highly valued by his contemporaries, and his pianism and compositions influenced many great composers, including Frederic Chopin, Johannes Brahms, Robert Schumann, and Franz Liszt.
je ne connaissais pas ce compositeur merci pour cette belle decouverte
Wow! Another winner from PauNG ! This is superb music worthy of the Lord and a Soul finder ❤😊. A beautiful Mass with beautiful playing and singing.

There is a book written about the life and works of this marvelous composer: "Amandus Ivanschiz: His Life and Music" by Maciej Jochymczyk.

L'addiction à ce genre de musique n'est sans doute pas très grave! A consommer sans lésinerie. Merci pour ce choix.
Capolavoro assoluto, musica "nuova" dal passato. L'unico difetto di questo canale è che crea dipendenza.
😆
Le dipendenze di questo tipo sono benedette!

Galant is the term, not "pre-Classical".

Kyrie eleison 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Do I hear Haydn here? I know it’s before Papa’s time; but his masses are there.
What is the reason to die so young?
