Eh, it's ok - they have many other better covers that took the original songs to whole new levels of kick-assitude, such as Am I Evil, Stone Cold Crazy, Breadfan, and so on. This one is average at best - I even like Turn The Page better, and that one is also meh. The best thing about this song is that James gets to do a cool lead.
This performance makes my heart happy. A cover of a beloved Irish song by one of my fav childhood bands, in my favorite country (Italy). Band is in top form as well. Simply awesome.

I was getting close to being released from prison when this song came out. They played it on the radio often and I couldn't wait to get out and buy Garage, Inc. as soon as I got out. That is exactly what I did too. It is hard to believe it has been almost 20 years. Thank you Metallica for getting me through so many things in life. The greatest band of all time, hands down.
Just a stupid receiving stolen property charge mistake I made. I bought something that I knew was probably stolen. I had no direct knowledge it was truly stolen, but figured it was. The guy got busted with other items he had that I had no knowledge of, told them where to find the item I bought and they kinda bullied me into a plea bargain of a year in DOC by threatening me with 8 years and trying to make it look like I was involved in the theft. It still pisses me off thinking how they screwed me over. I shouldn't have bought the item, but shit... They got it back and I knew nothing else. Oh well... I haven't ever been in trouble again since. I have never explained this online before, but I served my time and I am not ashamed of my mistakes that I have paid for.

They changed their sound up when they returned to the US last year. Listen to Atlas, Rise! from the Baltimore show (video is on this channel) and then listen to Atlas, Rise! from any earlier show and you'll hear the stark difference. Or any other two videos of the same song before and after the Baltimore show. I haven't really checked whether there's a difference from 2017 to 2018 (the last half of 2017 already sounded awesome anyway, after years of their live sound being shit), but you may be right. They may have actually taken it up another notch from 10 to 11. Each new video is just such a pleasure to listen to now.
I think it's the combination of the indoor arenas in Europe vs. the stadiums in the US as well as the band just sounding a little tighter recently. This with the new crowd mics makes them sound like a whole new band.
Waselt Ed I've seen metallica live. The fact that they use lots of mids in their sound makes the sound very accurate and defined for the listener. It Is not the perfect sound for recording if mixing Is not well done. I know a lot of people won't agree, but this sound Is better than their 80s sound, since their 80s lacked mids using too much gain. All you hear Is just lots of loud noise, without the definition of their modern live sound
